Good morning . My name is XXX and today I am going to tell you about Casey Brown ´s Ted talk . Her speech is named „ Know your worth, and then ask for it.“ My presentation will take about five minutes. You can ask questions at the end of my presentation.

2. slaid (video)

3. slaid - introduction

My presentation is about pricing consultant’s Casey Brown’s speech about knowing the value of yourself as an employee or as a company and making others see what you are worth.

This speech seemed interesting to me, because the gender wage gap what she is aiming to is also actual in Estonia.
The gender wage gap is a subject that affects somehow all of us. Gender wage gap figure has publicly launched a couple discussions on fair treatment of women and men, and gender balance issues . Casey Brown has some really good tips that we could use to help us.

4. slaid fear and doubts
The main point of Casey’s speech is that:
No one will ever pay you what you're worth. They'll only ever pay you what they think you're worth, and you control their thinking .
Casey Brown told two stories . One story was about herself reevaluating her pricing to her clients. She found that eventhough she was pricing consultant an expert , she had doubts and fears too. She claims that it is natural and normal however they don't define our value , and they shouldn't limit our earning potential.
5. slaid – how to know your value
She says that when you are valuing yourself you should ask key valuing questions:
  • What are my clients needs and how do I meet them ?
  • What is my unique skill set that makes me better qualified to serve my clients?
  • What do I do that no one else does?
  • What problems do I solve for clients?
  • What value do I add?
    6. slaid – communicating your value
The other story was about communicating our value. She shared a story about a woman who runs a very successfull web development company, however she was introducing it to clients by saying „I have a little webdesign company“. In this and many other small ways she was deminishing her company and herself in the eyes of the potential clients.
In this way she was communicating that she didn’t belive herself that she didn’t had much to offer.
The point that Casey Brown suggested to her and everybody else is to focus on the other party – on serving and adding value and not feeling like bragging. Change your messagefind your voice and be natural.
    7. slaid – the main to keep in mind
Casey Brown told us two stories. One was about defining our value and the other one was about communicating it. These are the two elements to realizing our full earning potential.
    8. slaid – video
    9. slaid – conclusion
That brings me to the end of my presentation. I really liked this speech much. Casey Brown reminded us the things that we already knew or if we didn’t then at least we should know. It is not bragging when you know your value. I would truly recommend this video to ones that feel like they are not paid what they are worth.
Do you have any questions about the speech or my presentation?
    10. slaid – thank you

I wouldn't trust him, Nor yet his Lawrence, without bonds and surety. MADAME PERNELLE I don't know what the servant's character May be; but I can guarantee the master A holy man. You hate him and reject him Because he tells home truths to all of you. 'Tis sin alone that moves his heart to anger, And heaven's interest is his only motive. DORINE Of course. But why, especially of late, Can he let nobody come near the house? Is heaven offended at a civil call That he should make so great a fuss about it? I'll tell you, if you like, just what I think; (Pointing to Elmire) Upon my word, he's jealous of our mistress. MADAME PERNELLE You hold your tongue, and think what you are saying. He's not alone in censuring these visits; The turmoil that attends your sort of people, Their carriages forever at the door, And all their noisy footmen, flocked together, Annoy the neighbourhood, and raise a scandal. I'd gladly think there's nothing really wrong; But it makes talk; and that's not as it should be

Yes, so it is, but, I do have a certain reason. Do you remember Sir Thom of the Minquettes'? That fine young man with fascinating blue eyes... Oh, my sweet Mary, you will never guess what happened yesterday! It was about seven o'clock in the evening when Lillian called me out for a walk you know I can't say `no' to my little sis. Anyway we went to the forest near the Swan Lake and, believe it or not, got lost! Awful! I was so scared... We walked and walked, not even knowing the direction we were heading to, until we reached a huge mansion. And the garden around it was so extraordinary... That is something you just must see! But neither the trees nor flowers could be as wonderful as the owner himself

However little known the feelings or views of such a man may be on his first entering a neighbourhood, this truth is so well fixed in the minds of the surrounding families, that he is considered the rightful property of some one or other of their daughters. "My dear Mr. Bennet," said his lady to him one day, "have you heard that Netherfield Park is let at last?" Mr. Bennet replied that he had not. "But it is," returned she; "for Mrs. Long has just been here, and she told me all about it." Mr. Bennet made no answer. "Do you not want to know who has taken it?" cried his wife impatiently. "You want to tell me, and I have no objection to hearing it." This was invitation enough. "Why, my dear, you must know, Mrs. Long says that Netherfield is taken by a young man of large fortune from the north of England; that he came down on Monday in a chaise and four to see the place, and was so much delighted with it, that he agreed with Mr. Morris
