Passive

The room had been cleaned before I arrived. • Future Perfect Simple: will have been + PP The room will have been cleaned by the time you arrive. Negatives and questions are formed in the same way as in active sentences. When was your car stolen? I haven’t been invited to any of his parties. NB! The rules for choosing tenses in the Passive are the same as in the Active Voice (e.g. to talk about something that is in progress now, we use the Present Continuous). Modal Verbs and Future in the Passive Voice We use be + Past Participle after will, be going to, can, must, have to, should, etc. This door must be kept locked. This job can’t be done. The new shop will be opened next week. It can also be used after some other structures (want to, would like to, going to). I don’t want to be disturbed.

Turunduskommunikatsioon lugemispäevik nr.5.1

Turunduskommunikatsioon- TMM0860 Tallinna Tehnikaülikool 2016 Vaikimine suhtluskäitumises: kultuuride vahelised erinevused artikli autoriks on Piibi-Kai Kivik.

Favorite family member

Favourite family member My most favourite family member is my younger sister. I really can't choose anyone else because I spend the most time with her I could have chosen my little brother but he is too annoying. I like my sister the most because she knows me the best and she knows when to stay away from me when I need my space, but also when I need someone to talk to then I can just easily talk to her and I can trust her with my secrets. I know when I talk to her about some kind of problems she is always there for me and atleast tries to help me out even when there is nothing to help with. From time to time we fight but have you ever heard of sisters who don't have their differences but we resolve them quite fast that sometimes we even forget why we were fighting at the first place. I like the fact that she doesn't get angry when i borrow something of hers and the same goes vice versa

Article:How to be a better guest

How to be a better guest There is something about Estonians As there has been a big increase in the number of people applying for study exchanges to Estonia, it is good to know some rules, habits and social life about Estonians. Being first time with new family you should know, that keeping a low profile is a half success. As the Estonians are uncommunicative people, the first look matters also a lot. But sometimes Estonians like open people too, who talk a lot, because we like to hear a lot but not talk much about ourselves. Secondly the Estonians do not hug and kiss on their first meetings. It is common in relationship or friendship but not in the first meeting. Shaking hands or just saying `'Tere'', which means hello, would be appropriate. Of course when they get to know you more and take you as a one of them, then there will be a variety of different greetings. But first stay on `'Tere''

Bullying

I believe everyone have been bullied by someone and have been a bully for a once. Bullying is an issue that is very important in nowadays and needs a special attention. Some of the ways to bully other people are by: calling you names, making things up to get you into trouble, hitting, pinching, biting and pushing, taking things away from you, damaging your belongings, stealing your money, taking your friends away from you. Now, to talk about why people bully someone there are many aspects. Some bullies do it to get attention or to make other people afraid of them. Others might be jealous of the person they are bullying. It makes bully feel, stronger, smarter, or better than the person he or she is bullying. Some people think that it's one of the best ways to keep others from bullying himself. What is even worse, some bullies may not even understand how wrong their behaviour is and how it makes the person being bullied feel.

Why learn English?

everything is based on English. Firstly English is the international language and knowing English shows the eruditeness of people, because every person who considers him or herself to be educated has learnt it. English has switched places with Latin, which once was the language of educated people. Not to mention the fact that people can use it for communication with eachother. In my opinion it is not necessary to learn that country's mother tongue while most of the people are able to talk in English. I find that English connects different people and helps us to feel like a big multicultural family. In addition to that it is a whole lot easier to find a job abroad, if you are fluent in English, because they are looking for workers who are able to talk with no language barrier and it shows that you are open to different challenges. All in all, I find that learning English is extremely important and useful, because we can use it everywhere and everytime.

Computers - indispensable part of our life

most profitable industry in the world. But even that is not it! You can draw pictures, edit them and make even your own movies or videos, using computers. The possibilities never end! The more and more widespread use of computers in everyday-life has a deep influence on our lives. Chat rooms allow us to connect with like minded people and discuss with them about our favourite topics. Messengers also allow us to connect to your friends across the world and talk to them. We use computers to talk and chat with people all over the world. Often we lose our sence of time for this and don't even accept the fact that it is not useful for us. It has been reported that programmers after a long time of working with computers began to relate to others in the same way than they did to their computer. They begin to loose relational skills especially the ability to synchronize with group behavior or other human to human relatioships. The fact that programmers use computers more

What is addiction

What is addiction? Addiction is being adicted to something and it can be anything. Mostly, when people hear word addiction, they think about drugs, sigarets and alcohol but it can be a person, some food or work. People fall in addiction in my opinion because they get used to something or someone and then they dont want to let go anymore. After a while they start to think that they cant live without it, he or she. Firstly i would like to talk about drug addiction. Mostly people start doing drugs when their lives get realy hard and they think theres nothing left anymore to live for or thanks to bad compani. Should schools permit computers for their students?

computer screen for several hours is enough to tire the eye muscles and it also causes stress and fatigue. Spending too much time in computer will lose students communication skills , because chatting only in the internet forums does not promote their communication skills. The worst about this problem is that in virtual world students prefer talking slang instead of correct english . And they will forget soon how to talk like they used to talk before. Finally, I really hope that in future there will be more computers in our school, that will simplify totally student`s and teacher`s lives. It will also develop our searching skills which we will need in future whether we need them in work or then at university.

Challanges of the 21st century

Challenges of the 21st century We live in 21st century almost for 12 years. It seems like a very long time, but it has gone like a bird and by this time has changed very many things. Honourable audience, I would like to talk about challenges of the 21st century. If we talk about Estonia then in my opinion our first challenge of the 21st century is to stop exodus. But to solve this problem we should ask why is the exodus so high? Answer is simple: salary, unemployment, salary. Very many things depend on incomes, so we head away from our country to find a better place where salarys are higher. For me it seems like our parliament wants to help all other countrys, for example Greece, or reckon with somebody else before help ourselves
