and to compensate for damage they cause. In the last fifty years, the use of natural resources has been irrational. The result is that there are turned out many environmental problem areas and preconditions for environmental crisis. Estonian environment was significantly polluted by Soviet army and it takes decades to eliminate this. After Estonia regained its independence, Estonia has moved towards a liberal and free market economy. Different enterprises and various funds have financed large investments to address enviromental problems. The main object of environmental protection is to provide everybody wtih a healthy environment and natural reources without causing damage to nature. The other goal of protection is to preserve biodiversity. Estonian National Enviromental Strategy has made many principles to protect environment. The first one means that we have to think not only about ourselves, but also about future generation, because they want to live in clean enviroment

BARRIERS TO DISTRICT HEATING DEVELOPMENT IN SOME EUROPEAN COUNTRIES Abstract District heating (DH) offers low primary energy demand, high security of supply and small CO 2 emissions. Barriers to DH in the UK, Ireland, France, Romania and the Czech Republic have been compiled through publications and interviews. DH systems require large investments, have negative initial cash flow and long payback time, which obstructs financing. One actor should control DH from source to consumption. If the value chain is fragmented, contracts are required between the links. It increases risks and financing costs, like in the UK and Ireland, where DH is not established. There are few multi- family houses with central heating and it is expensive to build DH networks in built areas.

Today's decisions must not create unsolvable problems tomorrow; consequently the limits of carrying capacity of the environment and the need to preserve resources always need to be considered at the promotion of economic growth and improvement of social security. Social agreements concerning the setting of development priorities, purposeful and long-term changes in resource exploitation, investments, implementation of new technologies, increase of public awareness, and changing of consumption patterns are prerequisite for the development of a secure and future-oriented state. What difficulties does the definition present? Give examples of what capital movement may mean under EU law. The treaty on the functioning of the EU does not define the term `movements of capital'. In the absence of a definition, the Court of Justice of the European Union has held that the definitions in the nomenclature annexed to Directive 88/361/EEC can be used to define that term. According to these definitions, cross-border capital movements include: foreign direct investments (FDI) real estate investments or purchases securities investments (e.g. in shares, bonds, bills, unit trusts) granting of loans and credit other operations with financial institutions, including personal capital operations such as dowries, legacies, endowments, etc. However, this Nomenclature is not an exhaustive list for the notion of capital movements -- whence a heading XIII -- F. `Other capital movements -- Miscellaneous'
European Union economic 9th May 1951, six Western-Europe countries (Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, France and Germany) signed a treaty to run their heavy industries coal and steel under a common management. From this economic cooperation agreement, European Union has grown up. For today, the aim of this union has made 180º turn but the reason why more and more countries are joining it is still same to rise the economy. So how does it work? European Union is functioning like an independent country. It collects taxes to reach its objectives. Taxes are collected mainly from member countries GDP (1,1% of countries budget) but as well the import duties on good bought into EU. Also, every member country is paying 0,1%-0,33% of their VAT (value added tax). It is the way how EU gets its budget which is about 120 billion per year. This money is spent mainly to improve agriculture (direct aid, export refunds, sto...
further be reduced as the liberalization progresses. These are mainly income and value-added taxes . Tax revenues come from a variety of sources. Goods that are imported into Lithuania face import duties that range from 10 to 100 percent (but average 15 percent on most goods). The highest tariffs are on tobacco, automobiles, jewelry, and gasoline. The personal income tax level is 33 percent with rates of between 10 to 35 percent on supplemental income from investments or interest dividends. Labour law Essential political economic and legal reforms started after the independence of Lithuania in 1990. Since then the legal system has been reformed to meet the demands of the social and economic changes brought by the return to democracy and the free market economy system. The population of Lithuania is 3.4 million, with a labour force of 1.6 million. Unemployment has been low, but has increased to almost 10 per cent during 2009. All employees in Lithuania

atmosphere is increasing because of the massive consumption of fossil fuels such as oil, coal, and natural gas. Another contributing factor is the the amount of forest logged. Every second of the day the area of a football field in trees is cleared by either being logged or burnt. The potential costs of cutting down on greenhouse gas emissions might sacrifice economic growth and our standard of living. By doing this we might need to change our habits and behavior. Furthermore we need to make investments in technology we need to adopt green building practices and buy clean cars. We all can do our part to help the planet by making small changing in our lifestyle. Simply turning off the lights every time you leave the room will dramatically decrease the amount of carbon dioxide produced. Using fluorescent light bulbs and properly inflated tires will also contribute to saving the planet. Global warming is a growing problem in our modern world. Changes will have to be made to

Peace ship versus Warship Ford insisted that he would give up his entire fortune, estimateted at over $30 million, if it would bring peace to the world. He even offered prizes and investments for peaceful endeavours of various kinds. By 1917, even though Ford remained commited to peace, the German announcement of unrestricted submarine warfare against all shipping suspected of carrying material to the allied side led Ford to do an about turn. Instead of executing his original threat to burn down Highland Park rather than use it for war, he asserted that the entire plant would be turned over for war production. With this move Ford made $29 million

Most important is the development and harnessing of knowledge to economic ends. The most frequently used measure of a nation's economic well-being is its output and income, the gross domestic product (GDP). The monetary value of all the finished goods and services produced within a country's borders in a specific time period, · GDP is usually calculated on an annual basis. It includes all of private and public consumption, government outlays, investments and exports less imports that occur within a defined territory. Business cycles. · refers to economy-wide fluctuations in production or economic activity over several months or years. In a modern, sophisticated economy there are largescale flows of investment resources from the ultimate owners (individuals who make up households) to the business sector. dutyes. People who lives in the private property have no restriction for own property and it shows exactly where the private property begins. The importance of "home" British people have little deeprooted attachment to their house as an object, or to the land on which it stands. It is the abstract idea of "home" which is important, not the building. This will be sold when the time and price is right. The houses themselves are just investments. Another is the fact that it is extremely rare for people to commission the building of their own houses. This notion of houses principally as investment leads to a strange approach toward house prices. Individuality and conformity Flats are not unpopular just because they do not give enough privacy. It is also that they do not allow enough scope for the expression of individuality. Not everything about housing in Britain displays individuality. Most houses are built one at a time

The main aim of the reforms was to boost foreign investments, cre- ate new jobs, stimulate entrepreneurial activities in a variety of fields and increase the welfare of citizens. As a result of economic deregulation policy which was focused on liberalization of the Economy, a number of state regulated spheres were sharply decreased and regulation procedures were sim- plified. Consequently, our achievements have been recognized by a number of international in- stitutions

government in regulating the economy. While considering the government expenditure some problems arise. Firstly, the low level of government investment in relation to GDP. Another important problem of transition economies is their high level of social expenditures. At the same time the process of European integration makes important demands on the growth of government expenditures, which requires strengthening of public administration, increasing investments into infrastructure related to the environment etc. The extremely unfavourable demographic situation in Estonia and European integration require that government expenditures should be increased. Considering the requirement of a balanced budget, this may lead to a significant rise in the tax burden. An important question is also what the fiscal policy of the Estonian Government should be if Estonia joins the European Union and what requirements should be met in harmonising the fiscal policy.

Many of us rely on paychecks and are therefore employees, while others are self-employed. Employees and self-employed individuals reside on the left side of the CASHFLOW Quadrant. The right side of it is for individuals who receive their cash from business they own or investments they own. The CASHFLOW Quadrant is about the four different types of people who make up the world of business, who they are and what makes individuals in each quadrant unique. It will help you define where you are in the Quadrant today and help you chart a course for where you want to be in the future as you choose your own path to financial freedom. Gross National Product Gross national product (GNP), in economics, a quantitative measure of a nation's total economic activity, generally assessed yearly or quarterly. The GNP equals the gross domestic product plus income earned by domestic residents through foreign investments minus the income earned by foreign investors in the domestic market. Gross Domestic Product GDP can be determined in three ways, all of which should in principle give the same result. · They are the product (or output) approach, the income approach, and the expenditure approach. The most direct of the three is the product approach, which sums the outputs of every class of enterprise to arrive at the total.

The `Westminster chimes' are of the bells in the clocktower of the Houses of Parliament (or Palace of Westminster). The chimes are set out to music by Handel. Money to maintain the fabric and deal with the day-to-day running of Westminster Abbey is raised from entry fees, donations and investments. The Abbey receives about one million paying visitors per year and derives about 80 per cent of its funds in this way. The Abbey receives no funds from the State or from the Church of England. Answer the questions below: 1) Who decided to build the Westminster of Abbey? 2) What is Lady Chapel? 3) By whose music are the 'Westminster chimes' set out? 4) How may monarchs are buried in the Westminster of Abbey?
alike. It is important to ensure that no new ways to avoid the rules are created. In the long term that process would take us to the world of less base erosion and profit shifting but still with different fixed ratios, different group ratios (if any), targeted rules on top of these ratios to address earnings volatility or loss-making years of corporates. Furthermore, countries can not be forced to aim for lower fixed ratios if their economic policy is geared towards attracting international investments, and in reverse case, if not following all of the proposed options, some new forms of double taxation may arise. As indicated in the 2015 Final Report, two additional papers have been prepared since then: Discussion Drafts on Group Ratio Rule and on Banking and Insurance Sectors. These two lines of work had been identified for a separate analysis. For group ratio rule, the definition of a group needs to be followed consistently across tax administrations of different jurisdictions
