The last 50 years have seen a rapid increase in population due to medical advances and massive increase in agricultural productivity due to the "green revolution". The percentage of Indian population living in urban areas has consistently grown; from 1991 to 2001, India's urban population increased by 31.2%. Play sports and you get a lot more than a fit body

Team sports show and teach how to work in a group, how to communicate. People who play sports can release some energy in the game also and they will be calmer, their decisions will be more calculated. Training regularly will teach how to divide their time between school or a job and training. I think that sport is a good way to teach a person some responsibility and consistence, too. To make some improvement in a certain sport a person has to keep training consistently. I would say that playing sports helps everybody to keep fit but there is much more to it. If we keep doing sports, then our ideas will stay fresh and clear.

Capital punishment (essay)

Sandra Demitseva Capital punishment The opinions on capital punishment are usually based on justice and moral. There are people who believe that an ideal community should be merciful even to the ones who have not shown mercy, but there are also people who think that violating the rights of fellow members of the community, particularly if it happens consistently, should be punished as severely as the death sentence. Most Christians are firmly against capital punishment, because they believe that there is some good in every person, even if he does not show any regret for what he has done. Not all people are as mature as to have such forgiveness in them. On the other hand this type of forgiveness cannot be a groundsel for the larger community, because it requires that you should really know the person that is in question.

negative and inappropriate role models to our children, and to create negative values such as values of consumption and possession. TV has a big influence amongst younger people, because sometimes they intend to listen more to strangers than their parents, siblings or teachers. Television shows very big variety of different newscasts, reality shows and documentaries, which all can be a big impact of their lives. Children who consistently spend more than 4 hours per day watching TV are more likely to be overweight. They usually tend to grab a snack while watching TV or even eat their supper or afternoon snack in front of a TV. Of course, television can be educational and teach children something, such as self- defense whilst also teaching them fighting. Nevertheless, kids who view violent acts are more likely to show aggressive behavior but also fear that the world is scary and that something bad will happen to them.

Book review. A&Q (Slumdog Millionaire)

Each chapter of the book focuses on questions and answers from the quiz-show, but also a story, how Ram Mohammad Thomas knew answer for all the questions he was asked for. One of the main reasons whay I started to read this book, was the success of the movie Slumdog Millionaire. Although I had not seen the film I thought that the theme of the book and the film was very interesting. So I decided to read the novel first, because the chances are (predictably and almost consistently so), I would like the book better. Most of the movies that were based on books like Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, and the more recent Marley and Me and multiple award- winning Slumdog Millionaire for example, fell short to its namesake. While they were no doubt entertaining films, fans of the book would have expected more and so would I. The book had a depth and a feeling, that was to me, lost in the movie. their economic policy is geared towards attracting international investments, and in reverse case, if not following all of the proposed options, some new forms of double taxation may arise. As indicated in the 2015 Final Report, two additional papers have been prepared since then: Discussion Drafts on Group Ratio Rule and on Banking and Insurance Sectors. These two lines of work had been identified for a separate analysis. For group ratio rule, the definition of a group needs to be followed consistently across tax administrations of different jurisdictions. Also, as it is needed to determine the group’s net third party interest/EBITDA ratio and thereafter apply the group’s ratio to an entity’s EBITDA, these may not be so straightforward to calculate. Therefore, applying the group ratio rule effectively raises a number of issues regarding the accounting rules followed, treatment of loss-making entities in the group, or the availability of consolidated financial reports

Established reference ranges and interpretation of results are only valid for the methods and the laboratory described. Reference ranges generally represent the range of test results from a subpopulation of healthy patients, and values that apply to 95% of the subjects evaluated are included within the range. Thus, patients who consistently fall slightly outside of the range but do not have progressive changes in their results may be, in fact, normal. Test results should always be interpreted in light of other clinical findings. Additionally, the more tests performed, the greater the chance that a falsely abnormal result may ensue. For example, if a healthy patient were subjected to 20 independent tests, there would be a 64% probability of finding at least one abnormal result. Interfering Factors

responsibility or is even expected to take responsibility. Whose responsibility is Love Canal? Chernobyl? Ozone depletion? The Valdez oil spill? Each of these tragedies were possible because of knowledge created for which no one was ultimately responsible. This may finally come to be seen for what I think it is: a problem of scale. Knowledge of how to do vast and risky things has far outrun our ability to use it responsibly. Some of it cannot be used responsibly, which is to say safely and to consistently good purposes. Fourth, we cannot say that we know something until we understand the effects of this knowledge on real people and their communities. I grew up near Youngstown, Ohio, which was largely destroyed by corporate decisions to "disinvest" in the economy of the region. In this case MBAs, educated in the tools of leveraged buyouts, tax breaks, and capital mobility have done what no invading army could

Sunflower oil contains 93% of the energy of US Number 2 diesel fuel (octane rating of 37), and considerable work has been done to explore the potential of sunflower as an alternate fuel source in diesel engines. Blends of sunflower oil and diesel fuel are expected to have greater potential than the burning of pure vegetable oil. D. Non-Oilseed: The use of sunflower seed for birdfeed or in human diets as a snack, has grown consistently over the past 15 years. Varieties used for non-oilseed purposes are characterized by a larger seed size and require slightly different management practices. During processing, seed is divided into 1) larger seed for in-shell roasting, 2) medium for dehulling, and 3) small for birdseed. Standards for different uses vary. E. behavior and do not have enough information about them, they tend to attribute behavior to disposition. In a study by Ross et al., participants were given one of three roles: a game show host, contestant of the game show or member of the audience. The hosts were instructed to design their own questions for the contestants and then the audience watched the game show through the series of questions. After this, the observers were asked to rank the intelligence of the people in the show. They consistently ranked the host as most intelligent, even tough they knew that this person was randomly assigned and made up all the questions. The audience failed to attribute the role to the person's situation and instead attributed the person's performance to disposition. There are some concerns about the experiment. For instance, the sample may be biased because university students are very familiar to a situation where an

A group of whiskey traders bought Scotch Whisky in France and tried to import it into Belgium without a certificate. The Court of Justice determined that such a measure would fall within Article 34 TFEU saying, "All trading rules enacted by Member States which are capable of hindering, directly or indirectly, actually or potentially, intra-Union trade are to be considered as MEQR's." This has become known as the 'Dassonville formula' and has been applied consistently by the Court of Justice in subsequent cases. Dassonville Limitations 1.A measure which is not capable of hindering trade between Member States, but only affects the flow of trade within a Member State will not breach Article 34 TFEU. (See Quietlynn Ltd. v. Southend Borough Council (case C-23/89) where a a licensing requirement for the sale of sex appliances was held not to breach Article 34 TFEU.) 2

Boosted by rapidly improving terms of trade, import volumes grew much faster than export volumes and the net growth impact of foreign trade was negative by some 5 percent annually. As imports were liberalized in the 1990s, consumers and investors alike preferred the superior quality, choice, and brands available from world markets. By the 2000s an increasing share of them could afford foreign goods. Cheap imports from Asian and other countries also became available. The trade balance has been consistently negative since 2005, and the current account has followed since 2006. Imports contribute to welfare, but for that to be sustainable, any country also has to be able to cover the import bill with exports, running down reserves, inward investment (direct or other), or raising foreign credit. But exports, of course, were not providing the necessary boost. And Ukraine had to begin with in practice no official reserves or foreign assets and

We dwell on our forebears who invented this or that, which invariably were denied to them before exploiting its marketability. Let me tell you what is happening today in America. It has been discovered that in the last 20 years, China has been consistently stealing information about American nuclear warheads and missiles to modernize their nuclear weapons program. According to a Congressional Committee investigation, it found evidence that relentless espionage, assiduous research and open exchanges with American scientists, had saved China incalculable time and money in its drive to build a modern nuclear arsenal. However China achieved this remarkable feat, the most important point is that it followed the Caucasian and copied his methods

The Ro- mantics, in particular, acclaimed Shakespeare's genius, and the Victorians hero-worshipped Shakespeare with a reverence that George Bernard Shaw called "bardolatry".
