The influence of television
Television in Estonia started with broadcast experiments in the 1930’s. Regular long broadcasted days started when Estonia was in the Soviet Union. That time there weren’t very many channels and some were Finnish . Today there are big variety of channels, both cable and public television network , but technically Estonia has gone over to digital television.
Television came more popular in Estonia in the 1970’s, when there were more coloured TV’s published. Almost every home had at least one TV. Television wasn’t just for watching different channels, but also for gaming, like Super Mario , which actually was called „TV game“ amongst little children .
Television has the potential to unite communities, provide information to allow positive cultural, social and environmental change, and to create a true global village. It also has the potential to alienate, desocialise, to promote aggressive and negative behaviours, provide negative and inappropriate role models to our children, and to create negative values such as values of consumption and possession. TV has a big influence amongst younger people, because sometimes they intend to listen more to strangers than their parents, siblings or teachers. Television shows very big variety of different newscasts, reality shows and documentaries, which all can be a big impact of their lives .
Children who consistently spend more than 4 hours per day watching TV are more likely to be overweight . They usually tend to grab a snack while watching TV or even eat their supper or afternoon snack in front of a TV.
Of course , television can be educational and teach children something , such as self-defense whilst also teaching them fighting. Nevertheless, kids who view violent acts are more likely to show aggressive behavior but also fear that the world is scary and that something bad will happen to them.
TV characters often depict risky behaviors, such as smoking and drinking , and also reinforce gender -role and racial stereotypes.
Anyways TV is pointless thing and I don`t suggest it because it ruins our life and makes us FAT!

Speech: TV is Little More Than a Waste of Time

Talk: TV is Little More Than a Waste of Time 4 min Television has become increasingly more popular through the years. Most Estonians have a TV or even several TV's at home. On one side, there are many people who think that television is just a waste of time and money. Some people spend hours in front of TV and it can be bad for your health. On the other side, It is thought that watching TV is a good way to relax. They like to be entertained after a long day and they believe that television can make you happier. I have to say that I understand both sides. I believe that television can have a negative effect on children because there is so much violence in movies and TV shows. Also watching TV can make you lazy. It's physically, mentally, and emotionally lazy. It requires no physical, mental, or emotional participation It's an addictive excuse that keeps people from leaving the house and communicating with real people. The commercials are also very annoying. But I think that there

TV violence Nowadays, television is the mainstream medium, which influences significantly the public opinion and, furthermore, it has the power to influence the formation of an individual’s identity. In such a situation, television violence has a particularly significant and dangerous impact on the viewers, especially youth, whose identity, moral values and beliefs are in the process of formation. Young people often perceive celebrities they see on TV and imaginary characters they see in movies as models for their own behavior. Children usually want to be soldiers or gangsters. As a result, they attempt to follow their lead, which often leads to the development of negative models of behavior

When time comes to enter a college a young Englishman chooses one far away from home. It is a necessary part of becoming adult. During the last 30 years there were a lot of different trends in youth movements. All of them were characterized by their own philosophy, way of life, style of dressing.
