FOOTBALL also known as soccer/association football… ... is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players with a spherical ball. It is played by 250 million players in over 200 countries, making it the world's most popular sport. The game is played on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to score by getting the ball into the opposing goal. The goalkeepers are the only players allowed to touch the ball with their hands or arms while it is in play and only in their penalty area. Other players mainly use their feet to strike or pass the ball, but may also use their head or torso. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins. If the score is level at the end of the game, either a draw is declared or the game goes into extra time or a penalty shootout depending on the format of the competition. Rules are update and followed by FIFA(Federal International Football Association. The game needs good teamwork and skills with a standard size 5 ball. The goal ist o get the ball in the oponents goal and defend your own. Players are allowed to use any part of the body exept arms. When the ball crosses the order of the pitch the ball is given to the team that asnt the last one to touch the ball. A goal is counted when the 2/3 of the ball cosses the white line between the two goal posts. The game is played with 11 men On a side and 2 teams. The field is a rectangle with a boxy gate called a goal in the middle of the shorter lines. Both teams are allowed one player to play with any part of the body in the box surrounding their goal on their side of the pitch. That player is called a goalkeeper and often hei s also the captain. History of Football Forerunners of football The creation of football as we understand it today is geographically confined to British shores, but there is extensive evidence of ancient games with the same basic principles as the modern day incarnation. The first of these was identified as part of Shang Dynasty China in the 5th century BC, the game's objective being to kick a leather ball through a hole in a piece of cloth which between two 30 foot poles. The Tsu'Chu military exercise in 3rd century China was also an interesting elaboration on this theme; the premise once again being to kick a leather ball through a 30-40 centimetre opening. As the Tsu'Chu exercise lacked the central team element of today's football, attention has also been given to the Greek and Roman games of episkyros and Harpastum respectively. The latter is particularly interesting as a game played on a rectangular grass surface with a ball roughly equivalent to a softball today.

Sepak takraw Introduction Sepak takraw or kick volleyball, is a sport native to Southeast Asia. Sepak takraw differs from the similar sport of volleyball in its use of a rattan ball and only allowing players to use their feet, knee, chest and head to touch the ball. History The game was first played in the 15th century‘s Malacca Sultanate. Sepak takraw spread to Indonesia from nearby Malacca as early as 16th century.
