What Really Matters-Is Today-Not Tomorrow

What Really Matters, Is Today, Not Tomorrow

We always think we have so much time. We postpone our duties, work and responsibilities. But it is such a shame to waste time, because we never now what might happen tomorrow. Secondly, it would be much easier to do these things today not tomorrow. Everybody should live one day at a time. When life gives us a chance to explore something new and exciting and meet interesting people, we should definitely use the oportunity. I think you have to be quite spontaneous to enjoy life. It is important to appreciate the people around us. You have to let them know how much you care about them and how much you need them in you life. And you have to do it today, because tomorrow we might not have the chance to do it. In conclusion, I want to quote an American essayist and philosopher Henry David Thoreau. He once said: ,,You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. There is no other life but this."

The traveler sees what he sees, the tourist sees what he has come to see

titles may have vastly different meanings. For many, when hearing the word tourist, a stereotypical picture comes to mind: a person with cargo shorts, a hawaiian shirt, a huge hat and sunglasses with a camera around their neck and map in hand. That is rather common amongst tourists, wearing what’s comfortable and they’d wear at home and not putting much effort into blending in. Their trips are usually planned to the T, leaving no room for any spontaneous adventures that might come up along the way. They tend to only see the ‘must see’ tourist attractions, stay in a good hotels overall sticking to all the amenities that are similar to home. A traveller however is different. Generally speaking, a person who considers themselves a traveller, will try to immerse in the local culture as much as possible. They make an effort to learn some of the language and speak to locals to find out about the history, traditions and customs of the country

Singing revolution

The start of the Estonian public announcement of the reindependence is probably the Singing Revolution. To begin with, the Singing Revolution was a non-violent wish expressing and embarked on the Soviet Union to fall apart. The Singing Revolution is a commonly used name for events between 1987 and 1990 that led to the restoration of the independence of Estonia and also Latvia and Lithuania. Afterwards, there was a spontaneous mass night-singing demonstrations at the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds in June 10-11 in 1988. Singing revolution is known as a revolution without blood. Its aim for Estonia was to separate from the Soviet Union. The Singing Revolution lasted over four years, with various protests and acts of defiance. Independence was declared on the late evening of August 20 in 1991. Soon, on 11 September 1988, a massive song festival, called "Song of Estonia", was held

Character sketch - Sal Paradise, On the Road by Jack Kerouac

For example, Sal is intrigued by Rickey, the mañana guy, who feels no guilt at never working and puts off almost everything. Sal likes Rickey's lifestyle and tries it himself, but after two days realises that he can't live like that. In conclusion, Sal is a people's person, but feels loneliness nevertheless. He is greatly influenced by Dean Moriarty who gets them into dangerous and stupid situations. Dean inspires Sal and Sal wants to be more like him: brave, spontaneous and to have the ability to pick up girls easily. Sal is not good with women and usually leaves them when the relationship becomes serious or complicated. In my opinion, Sal has no backbone. He doesn't know what he wants from life thus he does everything Dean wants. I was actually proud when Sal didn't go with Dean at the end of the book.

As his popularity increased he took more liberties with filming. Movies such as his 1925 hit, "The Gold Rush", demanded unending reworking of scenes and rebuilding of sets. Chaplin typically improvised his story in front of the camera with only a basic framework of a script. He shot and printed hundreds of takes when making a movie, each one a little experimental variation. While this method was unorthodox, because of the expense and inefficiency, it provided lively and spontaneous footage. Taking what he learned from the footage, Chaplin would often completely reorganize a scene. It was not uncommon for him to decide half-way through a film that an actor wasn't working and start over with someone new. Many actors found the constant takes and uncertainty grueling, but always went along because they knew they were working for a master. Though Chaplin is of the silent movie era, we see his achievements carried through in the films of today

It is imaginative and interpretive, it reflects a special view of reality THE IMITATIVE THEORY The theory often includes the notion that art gives us not only pleasure but knowledge, insight into the nature of reality Art finishes knowledge, its value depends partly on its truth. THE EXPRESSIVE THEORY The artist is not essentially an imitator but a man who expresses his feelings. William Wordsworth: " Poetry is a spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings", the poet's job is " to treat of things not as they are but as they seem to exist to the senses and the passions. The work of art is not an imitation of the external world but an expression of the internal world, the embodiment of emotion. The truth has nothing to do with literature. Feelings can not be true or false. They simply exist. THE EXPRESSIVE THEORY What value does expressive writing have?

Equally the lighting and framing are excellent, while Renoir's spatial awareness allows the camera to do everything from remaining resolutely still (trapping characters within the frame, forcing them together) to skimming up and around, moving smoothly with the flow of the narrative. Natural viewpoint gives the improvised feel of the action , despite that lines seem spontaneous evan as they are exactly the opposite. Altogether, ''La Règle du Jeu'' is an outstanding and non-judgmental film, a commentary on human behavior and charitable to its protagonists. Despite handling a number of thematic direction, Renoir's clarity of approach is such that these remain distinct. Describe how at least three of these (or other) factors might explain social order, and discuss the extent to which you find the explanations convincing. Introduction For societies to cohere and cooperate, it is necessary for individuals within them to have a predictable and collaborative behaviour. The presence of social order enables individuals to feel more secure publicly, as it enables them to somewhat predict their lives. Social order is

The gases produced through anaerobic fermentation or gasification are combustible in addition to having a strong smell which makes them stand out to the human nose. Methane leaks from landfills are an ongoing problem, as is the production of biogas in poorly maintained compost piles, manure lagoons, and outhouses. Spontaneous fires and explosions caused by build-ups of gas have been recorded in many regions of the world, illustrating a major problem which needs to be confronted by waste management companies. When this gas is trapped, however, it can be made useful, instead of just being a nuisance. Trapped biogas can be used to power stoves for cooking and heating, in addition to other applications. "Mu Isamaa on minu arm" ("Lands of My Fathers, Land That I Love") was set to music and the song became the unofficial Estonian national anthem that miraculously slipped by the Soviet censors. These cats were a totally new colour, peculiar to the Norwegian Forest Cat gene pool and dubbed the "X Colours". They are now called Amber and Light Amber.

organization and deliberate choice of words and constructions that can have political, cultural, and educational influence on a wide public. FGI 1081 Stylistics (I. Ladusseva) 27 The gap between the spoken and written varieties of language will always remain apparent () due to the difference in circumstances in which the two are used. The spoken language is spontaneous, momentary, fleeting (, ). It vanishes after having fulfilled its purpose, which is to communicate a thought. The idea remains, the language dissolves in it. The written language, on the contrary, lives together with the idea it expresses. The spoken variety differs from the written language phonetically, morphologically, lexically and syntactically (e.g. spoken language: "he'd", "she's", "I'd've" written language: "he would", "she is", "I would have").

ESTONIAN SYMPHONIC MUSIC. THE FIRST CENTURY 1896-1996.

In his music his heroes are men of action and he is there with them. His only symphony is among the notable ones composed in the Thirties, and its influence on the development of Estonian symphonism was immense. The epitaph: “It is a pity he died young” is usually used as a vulgar euphemism, here it is written with sincere regret. According to the musicologist Ofelia Tuisk: There has been no other Estonian symphonist in whose music the spontaneous, lush temperament, sincerity to the point of vulgarity, unforced free train of thought and exceptional instinct for inflection are joined. Sincerity and easy in use of melody are the charming features of his music. The Symphony is multicoloured in its sound quality. The composer has convincingly aimed at the Estonian national spirit.1 After the crisis years, cultural life in Estonia continued to progress. In the last

contact with. When you don't play roles, it means there is no self (ego) in what you do. There is no secondary agenda: protection or strengthening of yourself. As a result, your actions have far greater power. You are totally focused on the situation. You become one with it. You don't try to be anybody in particular. You are most powerful, most effective, when you are completely yourself. But don't try to be yourself That's another role. It's called “natural, spontaneous me.” As soon as yo are trying to be this or that, you are playing a role. “Just be yourself” is good advice, but it can also be misleading. the mind will come in and say, “Let's see. How can I be myself?” Then, the mind will develop some kind of strategy: “How to be myself.” Another role. “How can I be myself?” is, in fact, the wrong yourself. It implies you have to do something to be yourself. But how doesn't apply here because you are yourself already
