Should rich people welcome immigration.

their talent in developed countries the way they can not do in their home country. Secondly, the negative side is that developing countries can not develope if talented and wealthy people leave their homes. These people should realise that they are the ones, who should help their country in developing education, economy and solving problem of over population. Thirdly, we can say that instead of opening our doors to the whole world, we can assist poorer countries by sending them supplies like first aid, condoms, pure water, food and clothes. In conclusion, we can say that richer countries should not welcome immigration in order to help poorer countries to develope faster and they should send supplies to make their life better they would not desire to leave their homes.

Poverty in World

Poverty in World

Third World countries are often described as "developing" while the First World, industrialized nations are often "developed". A lack of material wealth does not necessarily mean that one is deprived. A strong economy in a developed nation doesn't mean much when a significant percentage (even a majority) of the population is struggling to survive. Politics have led to dire conditions in many poorer nations. In many cases, international political interests have led to a diversion of available resources from domestic needs to western markets. This has resulted in a lack of basic access to food, water, health, education and other important social services. This is a major obstacle to equitable development. Poverty has also been described as the number one health problem for many poor nations as they do not have the resources to meet the growing needs.

between the different countries. We must send our products to all markets and make sure that all the markets are going to be affected. If all markets are connected with each other then they will start to compete and that removes inefficient producers. Furthermore it will rise the quality of products higher and reduces their cost. Secondly different products and technological progresses are going to spread faster all over the globe. It gives unlimited access for the poorer people all over the Word to get the cheapest source of desired goods and services. Thirdly removing trading barriers help unemployed people to get jobs and deincrease the effect of the nowaday monopolies and explotation of the citizenz by the local businessmen. One point in favour of globalization is that it causes faster economic growth in all countries including the poor countries, lower prices of foods, drugs, clothes and shelter.

"Northern Europe’s seas. Norther Europe’s environment"

These compounds are causing deformage in marine animals and are storaged in their fatty tissues. They have also been found in organisms throughout the world oceans because they are dispersed quickly by winds and currents. Another problem that affects the marine life is excess phosphorus and nitrogen flow into the sea from towns, factories and other man-made sources which cause intense algae growth. Algal blooming consumes large amounts of dissolved oxygen and in areas with poorer water exchange the oxygen runs out and living organisms will not survive there. Also, the author points out a problem considering heavy metals which increase the water toxicity. It is estimated that about half of heavy metal inputs to the North and Baltic Seas originate as air pollutants. Heavy metals are indestructible and do not break down. When they sink to the bottom and stay strapped there, they may become toxic to the organisms in

The role of the free press

However, opponents of this view say that newspapers do not always give correct information and facts are often falsely reported. Thus, they are not always appropriate learning material for students. On the whole, I believe that the existence of the free press is valuable to the society, as long as its power is used wisely and objectively in an effort to inform the public, rather than mislead it. The modern society would be considerably poorer if censorship was imposed by the government and as a result, the media would be a means of no importance.

Christianity. As the new clerics became the chroniclers, the old religion was partially lost before it was recorded. Despite these prohibitions, numerous elements of the pre-Christian culture of the Anglo-Saxon people survived the Christianisation process. Dress materials Anglo-Saxon clothing usually utilized only three types of fabric. Wool was a coarse material which was used for most garments. Lower class people, such as slaves and poorer peasants could only use wool for their garments, even garments worn against the skin. Linen, harvested from the flax plant, was a finer material which was used for garments. Silk was an extremely expensive material, and it was used only by the very rich, and then only for trim and decoration. Men`s fashion The primary garment consisted of a knee-length woolen tunic. For the poorer, this would be the only clothing worn, although some may have been given woolen trousers and shoes to wear

The Chairman of Sistema England Julian Lloyd Webber said: ‘Sadly, the report shows that music is still most likely to be pushed aside in the poorer inner-city schools ‒ exactly where it could be most beneficial. This continues to foster the misguided belief that classical music is a white, middle-class and elitist activity. Natural resources - our treasure

It is used as fuel and as a raw material in chemical industry. It is very important we use renewable and non-renewable resources wisely. If a resource is used and thrown away, eventually the resource becomes scarce. When the supply decreases, its price will increase. Products that are made from that resource would increase in price too. Sometimes resources become so rare they can no longer be used. In these cases, substitute resources may be used, which may make a poorer quality product, or one that is more expensive. If substitutes can not be used, some products could no longer be made. Wise use of resources includes not throwing away products that are reuseable or recyclable. When these products are reused or recycled, it maintains resource availability, uses less landfill space, and uses less energy.

The task in front of me becomes more daunting and frustrating. I feel like when I write on the computer my words are chosen to simply fill a page. Handwriting provides an escape from the looming word counts and page numbers. We discussed in class how writing by hand forces you to think out your sentences and chose your words more carefully. I agree that while typing we simply type whatever comes to mind and completely. This creates less don't think through our ideas effective points and poorer results. A main problem I notice when I write essays on my laptop, is all of the distractions that come along with using the computer. I have music and internet at my fingertips and this can dramatically change the quality of writing. With the ability to distract yourself with entertainment it is far too easy to ignore your assignment and encourage writers block. Summary Britta Kase

The countries of the EU are very different and the standard of living is different. Economic power of a country helps to measure gross domestic product (GDP) and parity of purchasing power. This is the only way to make countries comparable. The graphic shows that the GDP per head is the highest in Luxembourg and the lowest in Bulgaria. The GDP per head in Estonia is quite low, lower than th EU average. The EU aims to reduce the disparaties and that is why poorer regions of the EU receive money to impove their infrastructure and so enhance their economic opportunities. The idea of united Europe was born in the former enemies France and Germany that they should join together. The first body from which today’s EU emerged was the European Coal and Steel Community. The aim was to manage the coal reserves collectively, coal was the most important energy source then. Each country had a say in the affairs of every other

The value of things VS the price of things

The value of things VS the price of things

The difference between value and price is hard to tell. Something pricey can be valuable and the other way around. At the same time, value can be shown in numbers as well. There can be multiple things that are valuable or the value can depends on the price of the thing, but a flower that has been picked up from a garden can be valuable as a rose that was bought for money. Value can depend on how wealthy people are as well, for some people a simple piece of bread can be nothing, meanwhile poorer families look at it as a blessing, something in value that has to be shared and used wisely. Value doesn’t have to be always pricey, mean something or be a part of some kind of a memory, normal things daily can have a value, a car is an example. People need it to drive to work everyday in their normal lives, plates have some value, knifes, forks. Just because people aren't willing to directly pay cash for something does not necessarily mean they don't "find value" in it

In China, the Chinese language studies often hold more importance for the students, since most of them have come to China from poorer countries in Asia hoping to earn more money and have a better life in China than they would in their own countries. To be able to become successful in China they need the Chinese language skills and consequently respect the teachers who can make a great difference in their lives by teaching them the necessary vocabulary. In Estonia on the other hand, the reason to study Chinese is often due to some level of interest rather than a necessity. Therefore the motivation

"Be multilingual; smiles are the universal language." "A kind heart is a fountain of gladness, making everything in its vicinity freshen into smiles." ~Washington Irving A smile costs nothing, but gives much. A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give. A smile takes but a moment, but the memory of it lasts forever. A smile brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and it is nature's best antidote for trouble. A smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile, so give them one of yours as no one needs a smile as much as the one who has no more to give!

It is horrible to admit, but our society cannot assume that all members are capable of being well educated. We have unequal physical, mental and environmental status, and the poorer fringe will always exist. Those of us lucky enough to have a conscience, mature enough to see how things really are, must do what we can to help the less fortunate. Obligation to help. How can a rich person help a poor one? By giving some money? Well, can smart, or educated people give education to those needing it? Sometimes just taking the time to discuss things with troubled people is a great favor and aid. coarse-grained variety - "a drug store cat" (moggy). At that time Maine, near the coast, had many fine specimens of the longhaired cats, particularly brown tabbies. The Maine cats were not considered valuable at the time. From the coastal towns and cities, the longhaired cats spread inland. Around 1895/6 the "cat fad" struck the Middle West and cats from Maine were being acquired by enthusiasts inland of Maine, with considerable sums being paid even for poorer quality or mongrel kittens. Many of the prize-winning Maine cats of the mid-to-late 1890s were described as being of Persian type. At the turn of the 20th century, smokes, silvers and chinchillas were uncommon. A line of creams was founded by a fine cream apparently brought from an unspecified Mediterranean port by one Captain Condon in the 1880s. The Maine cat was distributed along

ESTONIAN SYMPHONIC MUSIC. THE FIRST CENTURY 1896-1996.

In the mode, two opposing aspects are combined: on the one hand, a certain tonal base for solo parts in the expositions, and on the other, complex chords for the orchestra. The chords of the third and fourth structures are assigned an important role. The rhythmical aspect is quite stable because of the modern dance rhythms. Such a constant flow is not typical to a symphony. The possibilities of orchestration are determined by the composer’s choice of instruments. Here it is poorer than usual: the solo line stands in focus all the time, with a background of either rhythm or counterpoint. The group of male voices in unison with the saxophone is a rather good discovery. The form grows out from the repetitions of the basic material and from modifications typical of jazz.
