educational structure. I find that Estonian schools should pay more attention to teaching our children current state in our political landscape. Kids, who go to school, are our future and soon-to-be full- right voters in national elections. They will become old and independent enough to be a part of deciding process over their country's future. So, it is very important that they would know which political party stands for what beliefs and who are the politicians in Estonia who are leading our country. Youth, especially youngsters aged 15-18 should know or find out what is their political affiliation. Politics, elections, new laws, different kinds of reforms are constant part of our lives and that is why it is vital for also young people to be well-educated about those subjects. At present, the youngsters spend most of their free time staring at computer screen or just loitering outside without any particular purpose. They do not watch news or

Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle is an official residence of The Queen and the largest occupied castle in the world. A Royal home and fortress for over 900 years, the Castle remains a working palace today. The Queen uses the Castle both as a private home, where she usually spends the weekend, and as a Royal residence at which she undertakes certain formal duties. Every year The Queen takes up official residence in Windsor Castle for a month over Easter, known as Easter Court. During that time The Queen hosts occasional 'dine and sleeps' events for guests, including politicians and public figures.

The role of the free press

This is surely an unacceptable interpretation of the word "free". As far as politics are concerned, the free press is important as it often reveals the truth behind all the speeches and accusations. Unfortunately, most newspapers tend to favour a particular political party, meaning that their articles are not objective. In addition, sometimes the information published may not necessarily be entirely true and thus cause damage to the politicians concerned. From an educational point of view, newspapers and magazines are an important source of uptodate information and indepth articles, reporting on both local and international events. What is more, they can be an invaluable part of a child's education and often expand an adult's knowledge as well. However, opponents of this view say that newspapers do not always give correct information and facts are often falsely reported.

How to keep Estonians in Estonia - kirjand

How to keep Estonians in Estonia? In my opinion the first thing to do would be changing out politicians. I feel like the only thing they want is to make teir lives better, not the average person's. Whatever it is that they change it only drives Estonians away. I think that if everyone could get higher education for free they wouldn't have to get a student loan which they are not able to pay back after graduating. They have to get a well-paid job. But here in Estonia you can't get a great job unless you have a relative who's a top executive. Because of this

Nowdays we can see more men in politics but also we can find a lot of women who are head of state or very qualified politicians. Women are weak and they can handle more homework as cleaning, cooking and riseing kinds. I think that women are more multi functional than men and can do more things than men. In conclusion i want to say that nowdays are same rights for men and women and nobody is discriminate. Maybe one day you will hear about me as a very good politician.

That is the reason why Taavi Rõivas was forced to resign from the government and he stepped down as the chairman of the party. The new government left the Reform Party opposition of coalition. The new government turned new page, but ministers are quite the same and there has always been lying in the government. I think there would not be much changes, because people do not change. Changing the government so frequently shows that our politicians and ministers are not strong enough to handle so many crisis. It is sad, that our lives depend, one way or another, of what our country’s government does and decides.

Also there are three schools in Estonia which provide higher education in drama. The oldest and most academic of them is the Higher School of Drama at the Estonian Academy of Music. The Viljandi Cultural College and the private school 'Theatrum' at the Estonian Institute of Humanities. Theatres provide work for about 2000 persons all over Estonia. The future of Estonian theatre, which is fully dependent on the state purse, lies in the hands of politicians; they decide whether to continue subsidising the theatres. At the same time, a considerable part of the audiences are made up of young people. The fact that last year about 500 young people applied to the twenty places available at the Drama School, speaks volumes about the popularity of theatre in Estonia.

War on terror

The Bush administration's elevation of these three words into a national mantra since the horrific events of 9/11 has had a pernicious impact on American democracy, on America's psyche and on U.S. standing in the world. Using this phrase has actually undermined our ability to effectively confront the real challenges we face from fanatics who may use terrorism against us. Although the term is not officially used by the administration of US President Barack Obama, it is still commonly used by politicians, in the media and officially by some aspects of government, such as the Army's Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. In the meantime, the "war on terror" has gravely damaged the United States internationally. Canada´s history

The name Canada is believed to come from the Huron-Iroquois word Kanata, which means "village" or "settlement". In 1535, locals used the word to tell Jacques Cartier the way to Stadacona, site of present-day Quebec City. Cartier used Canada to refer not only to Stadacona, but also to the entire area subject to Donnacona, Chief at Stadacona; by 1547, maps began referring to this and the surrounding area as Canada. In 1864 and 1866, British North American politicians, in what became known as the Great Coalition, held three conferences to create a federal union. Spearheaded by John A. Macdonald, on July 1, 1867, three colonies--Canada, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick--were granted a constitution, the British North America Act, by the United Kingdom, creating the Dominion of Canada. Strategies of creating a dominant party – the case of UR

during the 1995 parliamentary elections, 43 parties competed for popular votes (McFault 1996: 90). In the 21st century, the pendulum has moved back, as the intense party- competition has been replaced with a one-party monopoly. During his term in office, president Putin made a series of reforms that reduced the strength of the most influential pre- existing parties and gathered a majority of the leading politicians into a new pro-Kremlin party called United Russia. While most of world's contemporary parties have been established by the politicians who seek either politics or public office, United Russia, as well as its predecessors were created by top politicians with the intention to maximize their already existing power and control over country's politics. Therefore, unlike in many other post- communist countries, Russia's party politics in the 2000s with its decline in party

Such animals would be beavers, bats, geese, deer, pigeons, mice, raccoons, snakes, chipmunks, squirrels, bears, coyotes, ducks, foxes, mountain lions, prairie dogs, rabbits, and even wolves. So their view on hunting is negative. [9] Animal Aid is animal rights organization in United Kingdom, founded in 1977. They do campaigns against all forms of cruelty against animals. They lobby politicians, make undercover investigations into slaughterhouses, factory farms and horse racing industry. If they find anything it is given to media or used in campaigns. Animal Aid considers all hunting to be more cruel than necessary; they have been and are especially against fox hunting with hounds. In UK fox hunting with hounds has been traditional way of hunting for nobility, but in 2005 Animal Aid organization managed to get the legal ban of the usage of hounds in fox hunts. [1]

British people have to follow clothing formalities all week so they really want to take off their working clothes and dress into something really comfy and scruffy. Edward the Confessor & Westminster Abbey

Around 1045-1065, Edward the Confessor built a church for the Benedictine monks in the Norman form of Romanesque. He intended it to be his burial place. The Westminster Abbey is located near the Houses of Parliament. It is more a historical site than a religious site. Since 1066, every royal coronation, with the exception of Edward V and Eward VIII has taken place in Westminster Abbey. The abbey also serves as the burial ground for numerous politicians, sovereigns and artists. It is also a final resting place of seventeen monarchs. The abbey is stuffed with graves, statues and monuments. Many coffins even stand upright due to the lack of space. In total approximately 3300 people are buried in the Church and cloisters. Some of the most famous are Charles Darwin, Sir Isaac Newton and David Livingstone. The history of the abbey starts in 1050, when King Edward The Confessor decided to build an abbey. Only a small part of this original Norman

Homereading - body language

On television it's interesting to watch contestants in quiz shows like 'Who wants to be a millionaire'. You can detect their understandable tension from the way they hold their hands till their knuckles turn white and also from observing their quickened breathing. We do not believe that you can teach people to control their body language completely; they will lose control at some point or other - when they become too eager or too angry. Take a discussion between politicians, for example. The control is there, even when they get angry but there will be a small muscle by the mouth that is quivering or a vein that's pulsating and turning red. Cheeks turn red in women who are angry or embarrassed while men's ears often turn red under similar circumstances. Misunderstanding body language When you try to interpret body language, you must interpret in relation to what is being said with words; otherwise misunderstandings can easily arise. It must be judged as a whole

Political Parties. Government has two meanings. In one meaning, it refers to all the politicians who run government departments. These two chapters highlight the kinds of commentary Swift makes throughout the novel. By describing a society that chooses its highest officials with silly competitions like seeing who can jump the highest on a tightrope, Swift is poking fun at the way officials are chosen in England. He is also commenting on the disturbing trend of politicians who are willing to do whatever it takes to gain favour in the courtincluding humiliating themselves. The danger of ambition is also figured here; jumping badly can lead to death. Having Gulliver stand with his legs apart so that the Lilliputian armies can walk through is also a ridiculous idea. It is a comment on the pomp and circumstance of English armies. To Swift it seems that armies are often more concerned with looking impressive than with being impressive. This scene

The solution could have been totally different, but the people of Estonia voted "yes", when we were asked if we wanted to join the European Union. This event has already found distrustful repercussion. Some people have stated that the European Union is going to find an end soon and the whole association will fall apart. Jürgen Ligi, the minister of finance has his own thoughts about this. In an article from EPL he has said that the gossip about the ending of eurozone is not serious - politicians do not think about leaving from the eurozone, because they have invested too much trust and money into it. On the same topic Siim Kallas, the vice president of European Commission, has also affirmed that we are not leaving from the eurozone. "It`s very easy to leave the eurozone, but no-one is even thinking about it." He explains the simplicity - we could just exit the eurozone system, print our own bank-notes again and start over.

On the other hand, for politicians it is very practical to turn to experts, because it alleviates them from the pressure to, first, find out what the proper decision should be and, second, to implement possibly unpopular measures. Under the cloak of efficiency, NPM specifically returns decision-making to the allegedly expert bureaucrat, therefore removing political control, and that also means political responsibility, from the political sphere. narrative that large sections of the public have become apathetic or seemingly abeyant. Two clear examples that have highlighted the weakness of the limited government paradigm and have ultimately lead to the disillusionment of many within this society. The first is the decision to invade Iraq on the grounds of unproven evidence, in spite of the huge public opposition. Secondly is the scandal over MP's expenses claims as it was legitimate for politicians to make invoices for things such as claiming for second homes in order to maximise personal profits. This gave out a clear message that it was one rule for the public and an entirely different set of more lenient ones for the members' of parliament or as David Peace (2004, p. 164) asserts one rule for us, no rules for them. Overall limited government looks nice on paper but as with the social contract

Samas näib enamik inimesi nõustuvat ka vastupidise vaatega, et iga inimese iseloomu omadused eriti palju ei muutu moodustades tema „tõeline olemuse”.

Americans had loaned the word from Dutch in 1560s and it became “freebooter” in American English, meaning “plunderer, robber, pirate.” In its legislative sense, filibuster was first used by Albert G. Brown in 1853, referring to Abraham Watkins Venable's speech against filibustering (“pirating”) intervention in Cuba. gerrymandering – In the modern sense of the word, gerrymandering refers to when politicians change the size and borders of an area before an election, so that one person, group, or party has an unfair advantage. The origin of the term, however, dates back to 1812, when it was first used in the Boston newspaper Boston Gazette. Elbridge Gerry, governor of Massachussets, was lampooned when his party redistricted the state in a blatant bid to preserve an Antifederalist majority. One Essex County district had resembled a salamander, and Boston Gazette dubbed it

Not having tortured the person who could not provide any information would have left the world in a bigger sum of wellbeing in the first place. 6 Psychological deterioration Michael Walzer (2007) stated that politicians sometimes have to (be able to) make decisions for which they will feel guilty of causing moral wrongdoing. That is part of their responsibility. Afterwards, the politician should not be unpunished either, but needs to pay a fine or undergo a punishment, one that he himself chooses. Political leaders have to, when necessary, be clever enough to know when they have to break the law. Because they believe in that law, they should also feel guilty for breaking it. This

Red tops- tabloid newspapers in Britain tend to be simply and sensationally written, and to give more prominence than broadsheets to celebrities, sports, crime stories and even hoaxes; they also less subtly take a political position on news stories, ridiculing politicians, demanding resignations and predicting election results. The term "red tops" refers to tabloids with red nameplates, such as The Sun, the Daily Star, the Daily Mirror, the Daily Record and the Daily Sport,[1] and distinguishes them from the Daily Express and Daily Mail, which are considered "middle market"tabloids. Red top newspapers are usually simpler in writing style, dominated by pictures, and directed at the more sensational end of the market. 29

The imperialistic nostalgia that has been rearing its head in Russia recently has made a substantial impact on political memoirs. Two contrasting opinions prevail as regards the debacle of the Soviet Union: (1) the downfall of the empire re- presented a natural course of events, and the Soviet Union ought to have been demolished long ago; and (2) the Soviet Union ought to have been preserved,

won the cold war and that the triumph of capitalism over communism is complete. Communism failed because it produced too little at too high a cost. But capitalism has also failed because it produces too much, shares too little, also at too high a cost to our children and grandchildren. Communism failed as an ascetic morality. Capitalism failed because it destroys morality altogether. This is not the happy world that any number of feckless advertisers and politicians describe. We have built a world of sybaritic wealth for a few and Calcuttan poverty for a growing underclass. At its worst it is a world of crack on the streets, insensate violence, anomie, and the most desperate kind of poverty. The fact is that we live in a disintegrating culture. In the words of Ron Miller, editor of Holistic Review: "Our culture does not nourish that which is best or noblest in the human spirit. It does not cultivate
