Lessons for the future
Education seems to be in government ’s, media’s and people’s spotlight all the time. Times change and education, as one of the most important areas of our society, needs constant reforming. Nowadays , the main focus seems to be on subjects like maths, physics , chemistry etc. because of current IT-era demands more knowledge in those regions than in humanities. I agree that Estonia’s government’s steps towards making maths and physics our school-system’s top priority is quite right, but I think that there can be a lot more done to improve our educational structure.
I find that Estonian schools should pay more attention to teaching our children current state in our political landscape. Kids , who go to school, are our future and soon-to-be full-right voters in national elections. They will become old and independent enough to be a part of deciding process over their country ’s future. So, it is very important that they would know which political party stands for what beliefs and who are the politicians in Estonia who are leading our country. Youth, especially youngsters aged 15-18 should know or find out what is their political affiliation. Politics , elections, new laws , different kinds of reforms are constant part of our lives and that is why it is vital for also young people to be well-educated about those subjects. At present , the youngsters spend most of their free time staring at computer screen or just loitering outside without any particular purpose. They do not watch news or read newspapers. And it is bad to see that very few of them know what is the situation is Estonia or who are the ministers of our government or which parties form the coalition in the parliament . It gets much worse. Too many children do not even know who are Angela Merkel and Nicolas Sarkozy or where the headquarters of European Union is located . Even if such people opt to go to election some day, they will probably make their decision based on which party’s name they have heard the most or who had the most beautiful advertisement on the wall of local mall or who coaxed them with most pens and pencil before the election day. The results of elections are much different if young people vote for politicians whose name is just popular or who gave them a dull coffee mug with his or her party’s logo on it. In Estonia, young people often go with the flow of Reformierakond for example, because it seems to be „pretty normal“ organisation. I am sure that if youngsters would find out for what one or another party stands for, they will discover that they voted for absolutely wrong party, for example a 18-year-old boy gave a vote to right-sided faction although his thoughts are the same with socialdemocratic principles.
As it is come out in different studies, the level of Estonia’s education is pretty good . Our children learn different languages, maths, history etc. at school which of course is very natural and welcome . But besides scramming just hard cold facts about chemistry or relativity theory we should also learn something which is happening around us at the moment. How to cope in life, what can I do in reality to make my home and my fatherland a better place .

To what extent does the media influence foreign policy

To what extent does the media influence foreign policy?

As the fourth pillar of democracy along with the judiciary, executive and legislature, the media of today has an all-embracing role to act against the injustice, cruelty, crimes, and intolerance of our society. In developed countries media influences foreign policy the most when people select their decision-makers through elections, decision-makers' response time, public opinions and public pressure, misinformation and fake news. As the media develops every day, then I think in the future it could be a problem because even now all the media channels are mostly accessible in developed countries, but it can even go wider and bigger. The most problematic influences are false and fake news, which can cause misunderstandings and false hysteria internationally. Although I believe in free media and that means also no limits or filters to news and society has to learn to cope with them in a better way. For example, countries

According to the American statistics, 3 people out of ten suffer from depression. The tempo of life in the USA is very intense both for students and faculty. There is no time to read fiction, poetry, enjoy art or just to relax in the company of close friends & to share the problems. Everything is planned long beforehand, deadlines are overwhelming. As a result, the average level of culture and other knowledge, which directly is not connected with the field of study, but can be beneficial in the future, is lower than in European countries. It leads to too materialistic approach in work and life ( business first, then people). And this narrow focus in education prevents from creating new knowledge, which is pron to be born on the border of different sciences. Besides, knowledge of mathematics develops memory, arts -- creative thinking, and literature and poetry -- humanistic approach to problem solving.

discussions on the matters that concern them. 3 Introduction Children have `somewhat tenuous relationship to citizenship` as a number of authors interested in children`s citizenship have noted.1 Historically, they have not been considered as subjects of rights, but rather as objects of social concern or citizens-in-making. Children have been perceived as objects of investments in the future, and thereupon recognised as `productive economic subjects` who will be carrying out vital tasks for the society and their families`.2 Similarly to how women were once viewed, children have been seen as irrational, emotional and incompetent and therefore are often excluded from the citizenship status. However, the adoption of the U.N Convention of the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) in 1989 was the initial legally binding law that for the first time, granted children the recognition as

gymnastics, horse-racing, wrestling, fencing, weightlifting, boxing, ice-hockey, speed- skating, figure-skating, football, basket-ball, volley-ball, etc. We have fine teams at our school and different kinds of competitions take place there. The boys of my school are crazy about football, they play football and the girls are football fans. The girls never miss a single match played by school teams. And now a few words about our physical training lessons. In winter our physical training lessons are held out-of-doors. We go skiing or skating. When it is cold outside P.T. lessons are held indoors, in our school gymnasium. We play different team-games such as basket-ball or volley-ball. Besides we have some training in gymnastics. In autumn and in spring, when the weather is warm we have P.T. lessons at our school stadium. My school has a sports day once a year in late spring. On this day we have no lessons.

products work and go on to build a better one, most of us hardly know or understand how these products work. All over the world, the story is the same – twenty-to-thirty something years old raking in money from dealing in the Internet. It is sad that Black youths all over the world continue to shoot each other in the streets over meaningless causes, when their counterparts are moving on and securing their future. You know the saddest part is that these nouveaux riches were just as poor as ourselves. Let us not delude ourselves: our work ethics leave a lot to be desired. We prefer the comfort of guaranteed jobs to the adventure of deciding our own future. We prefer others to establish the company so that we come in and cry racism when they refuse to hire us. Why can’t we establish the company, let others come in and cry racism for us not hiring them? This book is not about separatism

One thing I hope is that I have been a son my mother is proud of because I have tried to listen to what elderly people say and have stayed out of trouble. Still, when I should bring something out, then I am glad that I have been honoured to represent Estonia in some international events. In 2007 I was a member of Estonian delegation in a youth summit in Rome, which was called „Your Europe- your future“ and it was the first of its kind. There we discussed Europe’s future and expressed our opinions about different themes. Another event was this year and it was called Model European Parlament. I was selected to represent our country in the all-Europe event in Slovakkia. I am really interested in foreign policy and for an ordinary student they are like Oscar nominations and that is the reason why I am proud about my participation. I worked really hard to be chosen and I succeeded, becauseI had made an effort big enough.
