" It also won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album at the 2003 Grammy Awards. This is my favourite CD, because you forget everything that surrounds you while you listen to it. Chris martin has a powerful voice and the overall sound is flawless. The songs contain lush melodies and they are really relaxing. The band's music is also meditative and it reflects on their emotions. The lyrics of their songs are very thought-provoking and the most important thing is that they are meaningful. You start to think differently when you have delved into them. I strongly recommend this CD and this band to everyone who wants to relax and enjoy good music. This band is really worth listening to.

spectacles from an early age. Long hours of playing can also result in headaches and dizziness. When played moderately, video games have many benefits. The activities and actions on the screen provide a lot of mental stimulation, improving coordination, concentration and problem-solving skills. Online gaming enables many players to engage in a particular game simultaneously. There is constant communication between the players which in turn results in the development of meaningful as well as casual relationships among them. Even cadults can bond with their children while playing together. Modern electronic games are negative only when played irresponsibly. Overall, they can have a lot of positive impact on one's mind and provide entertainment for friends and families.

Positive sides of outdoor learning

outdoor learning is suitable for everyone, because it includes hearing, seeing, touching, feeling etc. For example, learning about history, children will remember the details much more likely, when they are presented in an authentic environment (old schoolhouse, museums, battle fields). Outdoor education makes it possible for the students to have hands- on lessons, which gives them personal experiences, opinions and understanding that they will most likely to remember. Outdoor education creates meaningful learning experiences when teachers help children to move beyond simple observations to more complex activities that require higher-level thinking and collaboration with peers. Students nowadays do not spend as much time outside as the generation before them. This situation might cause them health problems and wrong lifestyle choices. Reasons why they are spending less and less time outside are that today we have so many indoor activities

events of the film take place in Shawshank - the place where people who have committed certain crimes, serving sentences of imprisonment. Here person gets one, and leaves totally different. For many prisoners, the prison is already they home, because, after spending many years, when you go out, there may be nothing left that you so dearly: no home, no family, no friends. Life there consists of routine, and again from the routine, and everyone is their own. But thanks to Andy their life becomes meaningful again. Andy Dufresne - an intelligent, educated, kind, patient and intelligent young man. At first, it seems to us that it is nothing special in itself is not that fast breaks, but this is only a first impression. The film was nominated for seven awards "Oscar", but, unfortunately, but have not got anyone, but despite this, it still remains the best for me. We Do Not Inherit the Earth From our Ancestors; We Borrow It From Our Children

I think we borrow it from the future. Firstly we are using too much water nowadays. We are wasting it and not thinking about the future, but we should. Lately the media has started to speak more about the need for clean water, specially in some parts of the Earth. In the past people did not have showers or baths, toilets with water, dishwashers. These and many other things use more water, than people used to. Secondly we are producing a lot more, than we maybe should. It seems like the most meaningful thing nowadays is money. Maybe because of that we are over producing. If we look at the landfills we can see how full they are. I think it is that way because we produce too much and use too much packages. We should produce only as much we really need or in the future a really big part of earth would be covered with trash and air full of smog and acid rain. Also we should think some reusable way for packaging. Thirdly we are not thinking what we do with our everyday behaviour to the future

people seem to know that he is a reverend, even strangers. Mr. Ames thinks about the brightest memories of his childhood and writes them down hoping that his son learns something from every story he has put down for him. He mentions his good old friend Mr. Boughton tells about a small disaster that had happened to their hens and the barn. John Ames really wants his son to know and remember him when he is gone and tries to give a detailed list of his regrets and meaningful stories hoping his son learns from them. My opinion: It was quite a boring book for me, full of descriptions and stories regarding religion, although there were many profound thoughts.

Summary about Big Data

Author firstly brought out meeting the need for speed, meaning that you have to be quicker than your opponents. Secondly he brought out that undestanding the data is extremely important, not only the fact that one has to be fast. Nextly he discussed about addressing data quality – even if one can find the data quickly and put it in the proper context for the audience, the value of data will be jeopardized if the data is not accurate or timely. He continued with displaying meaningful results – people have a hard time understanding a graph that has 10 billion plotting points, so clustering data is one way to solve this. And lastly dealing with outliers – many analytics remove the outliers from the data. I conclued my presentation with some thoughts that I came across during the search for information. Big data is inevitable in today’s world business and it helps keeping your customers satisfied. In the future it is likely that Data volumes

Some examples are raising money to donate to a charity, creating an anthology of short stories to be bound and published, starting a website, writing and recording an original song, and patenting a new idea. Because of the amount of coordination required for each project, both successes and failures would inevitably spring up along the way, giving the children a meaningful experience of what it is like to work on a real-world project. The teacher would have an important role, psychologically coaching the kids through the highs and lows of the project and facilitating discussions to make them work better together and motivate themselves. In addition, academic lessons would be split into two halves. The first half would be a basic skills seminar, and the second an advanced class. To care about family member's feelings and to do everything he or she needs to be happy. If you have strong and supportive family, there are less chances for children to get into troubles. Opinion I liked this book very much and suggest it to everyone who wants intense and meaningful to read. I made me really think about that how far i would go to protect my loved ones. These items are like: tasty food, comfortable housing (with furniture, running water, and electric lights), transportation, a clean and healthy environment, healthcare, meaningful work, regular exercise, rejuvenating leisure, fulfilling relationships, family, and a close-knit community. None of these things are not essential, but life without these is not that fun. A good society would enable for most people to have most of these luxuries and would allow everyone to have just like the least of these items (even like 1-3 would be enough). Most of the time desirable things are not indispensable, but

Commercial production of handwoven blankets and rugs has been an important element of the Navajo economy. Rug weaving is another traditional Navajo art form. Navajo women believe the art of weaving was taught by Spider Woman, who constructed a loom according to directions given by the Holy People. Anthropologists speculate Navajos learned to weave from Pueblo people by 1650. Navajo rugs and weavings have gone through an evolution, the earlier weavings were influenced by legends and represented meaningful events in their lives. The Navajo rugs are in demand by the many tourists and collectors who visit the reservation each year. Two predominant colors in the Navajo weaving designs are indigo blue and red. Other colors often used are greys, shades of browns, yellows and golds. Navajo rugs are one of the most popular crafts, not only for a floor rug but to hang as a wall tapestry. I search far and wide for the perfect words and eventually end up with nothing. Even now I am struggling with writing, wanting to say so much but ending up with saying nothing meaningful at all, everything I manage to produce feels like a cliché, a platitude. As time passed and the older I got the less passionate I felt about writing. It became something unpleasant and began to feel forced as it was compulsory at school for students to write and write and write until they could write no more. And then write some more. Since then, I would not voluntarily pick up a pen, try to gather my thoughts and put them on paper. It seemed even more pointless than it had before

new to me. So many of us try to live our lives according to other people’s rules. We try our hardest to fit in: to do what we think we should do. We work hard at our job, because society expects us to; we don’t spend that much time having fun, because we think people would judge us as frivolous. But what’s the result of all this? We end up leading anxious and unhappy lives. No one can define what’s meaningful for us. Culture doesn’t get to dictate if it’s working outside the home, raising children, lawyering, teaching, or painting. Like our gifts and talents, meaning is unique to each one of us. Throughout human history, we’ve relied on laughter, song, and dance to express ourselves, to communicate our stories and emotions, to celebrate and mourn, and to nurture community. While most people would tell you that a life without laughter, music, and dance would

King was among the leaders of the so-called "Big Six" civil rights organizations who were instrumental in the organization of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, which took place on August 28, 1963. The march originally was conceived as an event to dramatize the desperate condition of blacks in the southern U.S. The march did, however, make specific demands: an end to racial segregation in public schools; meaningful civil rights legislation, including a law prohibiting racial discrimination in employment; protection of civil rights workers from police brutality; a $2 minimum wage for all workers; and self-government for Washington, D.C., then governed by congressional committee. Despite tensions, the march was a resounding success. More than a quarter of a million people of diverse ethnicities attended the event. King delivered a 17-minute speech, later known as "I Have a Dream".

Those were good ideas, but space limitations forbade my adopting more than a handful of them; my apologies. 1 Introduction: meaning and reference Overview That certain kinds of marks and noises have meanings, and that we human beings grasp those meanings without even thinking about it, are very strik- ing facts. A philosophical theory of meaning should explain what it is for a string of marks or noises to be meaningful and, more particularly, what it is in virtue of which the string has the distinctive meaning it does. The theory should also explain how it is possible for human beings to produce and to understand meaningful utterances and to do that so effortlessly. A widespread idea about meaning is that words and more complex lin- guistic expressions have their meanings by standing for things in the world. Though commonsensical and at first attractive, this Referential Theory of

The formality of an essay and unfinished sentences do not go together well. Exclamation marks (!) are considered equal to shouting, which should exclude them from a serious essay. Every single sentence should be full and meaningful in itself but should also follow logically from the sentence before and be a suitable starting point for the next sentence. An essay should end with a conclusion that briefly takes together what has been said before. If for and against arguments were given earlier, this is the place where the writer can give his own opinion. If the writer feels there are more arguments for than against the topic, it is advisable to give those before the final

Both believe that visual perception is mediated by light reflected from surfaces and objects, so we therefore need some kind of physiological system to perceive. They also agree that perception is an active process and that our perceptual experiences can be influenced by learning. In conclusion, however, there are several major differences between the two theories. Gregory believes that memory; habit, experience and so on must supplement meaningless sensory cues, in order to construct a meaningful world. In contrast Gibson argues that the environment (initially the optic array) provides us with all the information we need for living in the world. In most circumstances, both processes are essential as Neisser (1976) stressed in the analysis-by-synthesis model. And both theories explain different aspects of visual perception. When visual stimuli are present and visibility is good then technically the preferable theory is Gibson's theory. On the other hand Gregory's theory, however,

Although they have divided themselves into frontbenchers (leading members of the government and opposition) and the backbenchers (people who don't own a meaningful post). MPs have nowhere to address each other from, they have nowhere to put their notes so that means that they speak in a very conversational tone and not for a very long time. The organization of the Parliament is historic because in the history the House of Commons met in a church and now the Parliament looks like one. can write less but better. When writers have to adapt story from the book, it gets more complicated. Firstly they have to get to the very core message what the book has to say and even speak to the original writer. Then all the rough material has to be watered down to fit to the strict time limit for the movie. That means, maybe altering story, events, characters, back story. When making dialogue shorter, meaningful messages might get lost or doesn’t have such powerful delivery to the viewer. The problem with making screenplay based on a book, is that it gets altered, which doesn’t mean it supposed to be bad, but it doesn’t give the same effect as the book would give. From the directors point of view time also means trouble. He has to constantly analyze what kind of shot is best to support the story, how long it should be and what kind of details it should contain

Many computer applications, especially asynchronous computer-mediated communication such as email and electronic bulletin boards, promote interactive learning. With the booming growth of technology, blogs have become another learning platform for language teaching. Accordingly, these in turn have provided both teachers and learners with an alternative avenue, unlike the traditional face-to-face meetings or discussions, to foster their personal knowledge development through meaningful negotiation and communication. The web-based technology supports collaborative learning that enriches learning performance, both for individual knowledge construction and group knowledge sharing. I became interested in the field since I realised that nowadays in order to be an effective teacher one must know the `key' to the new generation of learners falling, to a category of `digital natives'. The research aims to determine the meaning of `blogs' and evaluate the extent to which

To tell the isotopes apart involves, in effect, weighing each atomic nucleus that enters the cosmic ray detector. About 90% of the cosmic ray nuclei are hydrogen (protons), about 9% are helium (alpha particles), and all of the rest of the elements make up only 1%. Even in this one percent there are very rare elements and isotopes. These require large detectors to collect enough particles to say something meaningful about the "fingerprint" of their source. The HEAO Heavy Nuclei Experiment, launched in 1979, collected only about 100 cosmic rays between element 75 and element 87 (the group of elements that includes platinum, mercury, and lead), in almost a year and a half of flight, and it was much bigger than most scientific instruments flown by NASA today. To make better measurements requires an even larger instrument, and the bigger the instrument, the greater the cost. Where do they come from?

Memory processes are divided into three main stages: 1) Encoding: transferring sensory information into a meaningful memory. 2) Storage: retaining information over time / creating a biological trance. 3) Retrieval: using the stored information. It is believed that schema processing can affect memory at all three stages. For example in encoding. Acquiring expertise is a process of developing schemas that help encode information into meaningful patterns (like notes for musicians). Chase and Simon demonstrated that point in an intriguing study. Three chess players an

Liberal nationalists often defend the value of national identity by saying that individuals need a national identity in order to lead meaningful, autonomous lives,[46][47] and that liberal democratic polities need national identity in order to function properly.[48][49] 48.
