The most common components of marine debris in the Baltic Sea are food waste and packages. 31-43% of marine debris are plastic bottles and even 50-63% of marine debris is plastic. Marine debris is harmful for everyone. It causes garbage ingestion and entanglement for marine animals. For marine life it causes accumulation and spread of toxic compounds and garbage deposition. These pictures are illustrative. Ristna Sea Store is organized into different departments and that's why it's called Store. Other than my studies, I have been earnestly seeking for opportunities to gain understanding of my potential and the world around me. One of these experiences that I treasured was a study tour to Taiwan I made last year, in which I had to compete with 120 candidates to become one of the 40 participants in the tour. We visited the Legislative Council of Taiwan and met the vice president of the Council to understand the issues of their society. We also visited government departments and met the famous economist, Woo Jia Ching. From this tour, I have gained much insight about the Taiwan society. By comparing Taiwan and Hong Kong, I have also come to know more about the place I live in. After you have the opportunity to review my resume, I hope to have a chance to meet you to discuss further how I might contribute to Thomson Consulting. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours sincerely Richard Down

national museum of archaeology and ethnography and the national library. The present building was built in 1852. By law a copy of every book, periodical and newspaper, published in Britain must be presented in the British museum. It contains books and manuscripts: Greek, Roman, British and Oriental antiques. It has a department of Ethnography. This collection is so vast that only a very small percentage of it is on show to the public. There's also a department of prints and drawings. There're departments devoted to maps, coins, medals and philately. Those who come to the British museum can see a fascinating array of clocks and watches. Cultural life of London would be impossible without the Royal Albert hall, the Royal Festival hall, the National theatre and a great number of museums: the Victoria and Albert museum, the Geological Museum, the Museum of Mankind, Natural history museum and others.

combination of locals and expatriates. As the company is small and with a limited budget the chosen method must be both economical and effective. Since the entry mode chosen was exporting, the best way to maintain the low budget would be to mainly hire locals together with few expatriates. As the market of entering is a foreign country (Nigeria) there would be needed to hire locals of the new country in the sales, marketing and legal departments. The locals should be hired as sales representatives and agents as they know the culture, methods to approach the possible customers and the needs of the market of the new country. Their tasks would be the direct selling (i.e. door-to-door selling, attending fairs and trade shows) and also meeting with the potential retailers and vendors, who could start selling Daffodils products. The sales manager should be an expatriate, who has experience in the sales field and knows the products

was dominated by smaller newspapers and pamphleteers who usually had an overt and often radical agenda, with no presumption of balance or objectivity. Little note: Publishers, owners and other corporate executives, especially advertising sales executives, can try to use their powers over journalists to influence how news is reported and published. Journalists usually rely on top management to create and maintain a "firewall" between the news and other departments in a news organization to prevent undue influence on the news department. Legal status Governments have widely varying policies and practices towards journalists, which control what they can research and write, and what press organizations can publish. Some governments guarantee the freedom of the press; while other nations severely restrict what journalists can research and/or publish. Journalists in many nations have some privileges that members of the general public do not;

Everyone else will move. Observation bears this out: within the US, towns have become startup hubs if and only if they have both rich people and nerds. Few startups happen in Miami, for example, because although it's full of rich people, it has few nerds. It's not the kind of place nerds like. Whereas Pittsburgh has the opposite problem: plenty of nerds, but no rich people. The top US Computer Science departments are said to be MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, and Carnegie- Mellon. MIT yielded Route 128. Stanford and Berkeley yielded Silicon Valley. But Carnegie- Mellon? The record skips at that point. Lower down the list, the University of Washington yielded a high-tech community in Seattle, and the University of Texas at Austin yielded one in Austin. But what happened in Pittsburgh? And in Ithaca, home of Cornell, which is also high on the list?

All about High Tech High tech is technology that is at the cutting edge--the most advanced technology currently available. There is no specific class of technology that is high tech--the definition shifts over time--so products hyped as high tech in the 1960s would now be considered, if not exactly low tech, then at least somewhat obsolete. This fuzzy definition has led to marketing departments describing nearly all new products as high tech. Economy Because the high-tech sector of the economy develops or uses the most advanced technology known, it is often seen as having the most potential for future growth. This perception has led to high investment in high-tech sectors of the economy. High-tech startup enterprises receive a large portion of venture capital. However, if, as has happened in the past, investment exceeds actual

planet to fit our infinite wants. A third myth is that knowledge is increasing and by implication human goodness. There is an information explosion going on, by which I mean a rapid increase of data, words, and paper. But this explosion should not be taken for an increase in knowledge and wisdom, which cannot so easily by measured. What can be said truthfully is that some knowledge is increasing while other kinds of knowledge are being lost. David Ehrenfeld has pointed out that biology departments no longer hire faculty in such areas as systematics, taxonomy, or ornithology. In other words, important knowledge is being lost because of the recent overemphasis on molecular biology and genetic engineering, which are more lucrative, but not more important, areas of inquiry. We still lack the the science of land health that Aldo Leopold called for half a century ago. It is not just knowledge in certain areas that we're losing, but vernacular knowledge as well, by which I
