Stretches and exercises in office

TMT0040 Ergonoomika Stretches and exercises in office Ruslan Karpovits 050829 IATM Breaks Why? We're not designed to stay in one position all day long. Taking regular breaks to stretch major muscle groups can help reduce injury, muscular tension and stiffness. When? At least once per hour, but more frequently if possible. If you are doing data entry, you should take a 5minute break for every 30 continuous data entry minutes spent on the computer. Benefits of stretching Stretching increases flexibility. Flexible muscles can improve your daily performance. Tasks such as lifting packages, bending to tie your shoes or hurrying to catch a bus become easier and less tiring. Stretching improves range of motion of your joints. Good range of motion keeps you in better balance, which will help keep you mob...

VOCABULARY EXERCISES UNIT 5 upstream advanced

VOCABULARY EXERCISES UNIT 5 II Exercise Learning to operate a computer is not as difficult as many people think. Computers can be expensive to buy, but you can often get comprehensive packages containing all the equipment you need at a discount from big companies. Some companies will even install the system for you. Your system will also include various kinds of software such as word- processing and game programmes, all stored on disks. When you put the disk into the computer, the programme or information can be displayed on the screen. Many computer users go on the Internet. This is a system that links computers, making it possible to transmit information from one system to another in a different place via the telephone. This can cause problems, because addicts who use their computers all the time can overload the phone circuits meaning that other people cannot make ordinary phone calls. III Exercise 1. Joh...

Healthier than ever before!

Healthier than ever before! When I start thinking about healthy way of life, first thing that comes in my mind is cabbages and carrots. But healthy lifestyle contains more than that. Ofcourse it is very important to eat well, but in the same time it is essential to do diffrent kind of exercises and have basic knowledges about your body. Our grandmothers and grandfathers often complain, that we eat wrong sort of food, like hamburgers and french fries. But I think, it isn`t true. Yes, we eat hamburgers, but not every day. Me myself couldn`t eat a hamburger every day, I will get enough. It seems to me that younger generation appreciate a good work out more than ever more. We like to relax by doing exercises and fitting our body. It gives a lot of energy.

Heart and Lung Health

Heart and Lung Health: This is one of the most important reasons to exercise. An inactive lifestyle is one of the major causes of heart diseases. While a lot of heart conditions occur when we are older, it is necessary to start exercising at a young age to keep our hearts strong as we age. Cardiovascular exercises like running, swimming, cycling, and aerobics are especially good for the heart, hence the name `cardiovascular'. These types of exercises help to maintain your blood pressure, reduce the bad cholesterol and increase the good cholesterol in your blood, reduce the risk of diabetes, and increase your endurance level so you don't easily run out of breath. Diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol are all conditions that the black individual is more susceptible to than most other races. The History of Flag Day

Day. Following the suggestion of Colonel J Granville Leach (at the time historian of the Pennsylvania Society of the Sons of the Revolution), the Pennsylvania Society of Colonial Dames of America on April 25, 1893 adopted a resolution requesting the mayor of Philadelphia and all others in authority and all private citizens to display the Flag on June 14th. Leach went on to recommend that thereafter the day be known as 'Flag Day', and on that day, school children be assembled for appropriate exercises, with each child being given a small Flag. Two weeks later on May 8th, the Board of Managers of the Pennsylvania Society of Sons of the Revolution unanimously endorsed the action of the Pennsylvania Society of Colonial Dames. As a result of the resolution, Dr. Edward Brooks, then Superintendent of Public Schools of Philadelphia, directed that Flag Day exercises be held on June 14, 1893 in Independence Square. School children were assembled, each carrying a small Flag,

Most music is like this and if you don't believe me turn on your radio. Try and count out in fours while listening to the playing. I am confident that you will be able to count out in fours to most pieces of music you will hear. So previously when you were strumming up and down you were playing HALF beats. That is why I had you count out, "one AND two AND three AND four AND", to split each beat in half and strum in eights. Just to recap, let's just try one of our previous exercises again. Once again we are working with the G chord. Strum up and down in a constant rhythm. Keep it slow and accurate. As in lesson 3, I would like you to count out, "one AND two AND three AND four AND", with your strumming. Eclipse, Chapter Ninteen – Selfish kokkuvõte

Chapter Ninteen Selfish After staying out all night to watch the Cullens' battle exercises, Bella sleeps late into the following afternoon. When she wakes, Edward reminds her that she could -- and should -- have stayed behind, but she insists that she is now part of the family and should be included. While she's getting breakfast, Edward notices Jake's wolf charm dangling from Bella's wrist. He asks to see it and for a fleeting instant Bella worries he might break it. What would i change if i were minister of education.

What would i change if i were minister of education. Many people think that our school system is out of date and we should make it more modern. Even teachers and students say that some changes need to be made. Maybe our government should consultate more with poeple who know the real situtation, when they create new laws. If I were minister of education I would deffenetly prefere American educational system to Russian. Our children should do more practical exercises in school and develop creative thinking. In addition to that I would give more money to our schools and raise also teatchers salary. This would boost up their motivation to give quality education to our children. Also i would invite more exchange students into our schools and send our children more often to learn in foreign countrys. The last thing I would change is the amount of the final exams. I would change all school exams into national exams.

Hypermobility. The effect of hypermobility on flexibility

2 Joint laxity occurs mainly in the joints that are located in fingers, elbows, shoulders, wrists, knees, and hips. It usually appears at a very young age and decreases as one gets older, but 58% 3 of adults diagnosed with Joint Hypermobility Syndrome do not see any indication of the recession of JMS throughout their lives. The syndrome rather delves than shows withdrawal. Hypermobility is usually a sign of fragile joints. In order to avoid injuries, one is suggested to perform exercises and physical therapies to improve one’s extension, such as yoga, pilates, dancing, tai chi and intensive stretching trainings. These kind of exercises strenghten the joint as well as relieve pain in case it becomes evident. Learning the normal range of motion of every joint is recommended in order to prevent hyperextension. One can protect the joints by using supportive bandages, paddings or braces during physial activities as well. Joint hypermobility needs a prompt reaction

Anxiety

Anxiety is often overlooked by adults and does not seem as big of a problem as other mental issues like depression. The truth is, anxiety can affect teenagers lives just as much and should be dealt with immediately. I also have anxiety at times, but I have found many ways to help myself. The first thing to do when having anxiety is to make sure that our body is taken care of. Enough sleep can reduce anxiety and stress very effectively. It is also crucial to have a healthy diet and well-balanced meals. Caffeine and alcohol are most certainly not recommended, since they can trigger panic attacks and aggravate anxiety. It has also been said that daily exercise can help people feel happy and maintain their health. When feeling anxious, it is important to pay notice to our breathing. Breathing exercises can quickly reduce anxiety and are easy to learn and remember. One of the most famous ones is to take a breath for five seconds, hold, then ...

Computers breed laziness and discontent

First of all, people have to use their brains lesser. They do not have to remember how to spell words anymore, the computer does it all for them. What is more, students do not have to go library to do their home tasks. They can just use Internet search engines. For this reason, people`s brains grow lazy. Secondly, people are just sitting behind the computer and watching the screen. They are chatting or doing work but they do not understand that they must take break and do some exercises. In my opinion not exercising can make people stressed and unsatisfied. Finally, we think that is very comfort to communicate with friends and other people via Internet. This kind of communication can lead to unsociability because people are in need of showing they`re emotions. Moreover, some people think that it is more comfortable not to accociate with others at all. To sum up, computers are making our lives too easy. People were created to

Electronic devices in the classroom: For and against

computer or social media. The electronic devices take a lot of money because the school and children need to buy them. The teachers have to be always ready to do something else because the network can always go down or the electronic devices do not work. In the beginning the teacher must take part in the courses. I am totally against the electronic devices in the classroom. Yes, we can use the projector sometimes and do listening exercises in computer. Lessons where each student has their own electronic devices are a very bad idea. Pille Ülem (10c)

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

PHYSICAL EDUCATION Physical education has long been a staple in schools on a K-12 level and beyond, with all students required to participate in some form of physical education. Also referred to as "gym class" students participated in activities such as team sports, (volleyball, soccer, basketball, etc.) walking or running (running a mile was common), cardiovascular and strength training exercises (such as pull-ups and push-ups) and even swimming. Physical education provides children with an opportunity to exercise during the day. It gives children early exposure to team sports, and promotes good physical fitness. Children who participate in physical education get a workout, and they also learn the importance of exercise as a lifelong habit.
