Anxiety is often overlooked by adults and does not seem as big of a problem as other mental issues like depression. The truth is, anxiety can affect teenagers lives just as much and should be dealt with immediately. I also have anxiety at times , but I have found many ways to help myself.
The first thing to do when having anxiety is to make sure that our body is taken care of. Enough sleep can reduce anxiety and stress very effectively. It is also crucial to have a healthy diet and well-balanced meals . Caffeine and alcohol are most certainly not recommended, since they can trigger panic attacks and aggravate anxiety. It has also been said that daily exercise can help people feel happy and maintain their health.
When feeling anxious, it is important to pay notice to our breathing. Breathing exercises can quickly reduce anxiety and are easy to learn and remember . One of the most famous ones is to take a breath for five seconds , hold , then breathe out slowly for about seven seconds and repeat it a few times.
It is also important to not suffer alone and try to surround ourselves with people. Friends and family are the best support we can get to cope with anxiety.

TALLINNA TEHNIKAÜLIKOOL Ärikorralduse instituut Ruslan Karpovits 050829 IATM Stretches and exercises in office Referaat Esitatud: 22.09.2008. Juhendajad: Ülo Kristjuhan Tallinn 2008 Stiff neck, back and wrist pain, poor circulation - these are just some of the health hazards that can come with having an office job. It doesn't have to be that way. Human bodies are made to move. It is recommended that a person break for 5-10 minutes for every hour spent at a workstation. Working "mini" activity breaks into your day can really make a difference in how you feel and even how well you perform your job. Even the busiest person can do it. Just five minutes of movement every hour or two can boost energy and improve your attitude. You'll find that getting your blood pumping and oxygen circulating will help you concentrate better and be more productive, calm, and efficient. Breaks ca

Drugs and how they affect your health.

Studies going on for 25 years show a link between heavy teen smoking and fear of going outside (agoraphobia). Teens who smoke were 6 times more likely to get agoraphobia. And, teen smokers were 15 times more likely to have panic attacks than teens who did not smoke. Scientists think the reason is that nicotine hurts blood vessels to the brain, and also blocks air from the lungs. Whatever the reason, teen smokers are more likely to have panic attacks, anxiety disorders, and depression. Illegal Drugs When people talk about the "drug problem," they usually mean abusing legal drugs or using illegal drugs, such as marijuana, ecstasy, cocaine, LSD, crystal meth and heroin. Cocaine is a white powder that comes from the dried leaves of the coca plant that is found in South America. Crack cocaine is a form of the drug that gives a very quick, intense high. Crack is made by cooking cocaine powder with baking soda, then breaking it into small

Addiction and drugs

Firstly sometimes people try their first cigarette, they like it and so they start doing it more regularly. Secondly some people start smoking because there's a rumour saying that it's slimming. And another reason may be that it may relieve stress. After three or four cigarettes you get addicted to it because of nicotine. It is a drug that stimulates the brain. When the level of nicotine falls in your blood and you're a regular smoker, you usually develop withdrawal symptoms, such as craving, anxiety, restlessness, headaches, irritability, hunger, difficulty with concentration, or just feeling awful. These symptoms are relieved by the next cigarette. Most smokers need to smoke regularly to feel normal and to prevent nicotine withdrawal symptoms. So once you start smoking it is very hard to quit. But why is smoking so harmful? Cigarettes have tar in them which contains many chemicals. These deposit in the lungs and can get into the blood vessels and are carried to other parts of the body

Each part has a special job, and all the parts work together to keep you alive and healthy. Good health is one of the most important things in life. There are certain things we can do to stay healthy. We should eat a balanced diet that includes the right kinds of food and drink plenty of clean, fresh water. We should exercise regularly, strengthening our muscles and keeping us in shape. Exercise helps the blood circulate around our bodies, cleaning out waste and supplying plenty of oxygen. It is also important what we get enough sleep. The number of hours we sleep we need depend on our age. Young babies sleep for 20-22 hours

They're insecure and they think that something is wrong with the way they act or look all the time. People need to stop bulling to make the world a better place. The second thing I would do is lessen homework. Teachers give us homework in 5 days of the week. If we want to suceed then we have no choice to do homework. But sometimes we get too much of it. We don't have the strenght or skills to do them. What does it cause? It causes us a lot of stress and anxiety. It effects us in many ways. For example students might be unable to sleep. Studying and thinking about a lot of things makes our brain to wake up and when we suddenly go to bed to have some sleep, then our brain don't let us to. Also students have more difficulty concentrating on their studies. Their thoughts might jump around places that they shouldn't be jumping in, during the study. They might feel ultimate tiredness at that time, when they need to be alert to study

Stress

Stress What is stress? Physiologists define stress as how the body reacts to a stressor, real or imagined, a stimulus (erguti) that causes stress. Acute (terav) stressors affect an organism in the short term; chronic stressors over the longer term. The term stress was first employed in a biological context by the endocrinologist Hans Selye in the 1930s The effects of stress: Alarm is the first stage. When the threat or stressor is identified or realized, the body's stress response is a state of alarm. During this stage adrenaline will be produced in order to bring about the fight-or-flight response (võitle või põgene) Resistance is the second stage. If the stressor persists (püsib), it becomes necessary to attempt some means of coping (toimetulemisega) with the stress. Although the body begins to try to adapt (kohanduma) to the strains (pinge) or demands (nõudmistega) of the environment, the body cannot keep this up indefinitely (määramatult), so its resources are gradually
