Prompt #5
We all have felt good about donating something . It gives us inner peace , satisfaction, and an overall benevolent feeling . Donating money , clothes or “yourself” by volunteering does not require us to do the impossible – we do that which is quite possible. A few weeks ago, I went through my friend ’s wallet and found an organ donor card. It really made me think. Would I be willing to donate an organ to help someone or to receive an organ from someone I do not know if I needed it? This whole idea makes me stop and think.
Health issues are very common nowadays and luckily, medical science has advanced so much that nearly everything is curable. In addition to good medical science, organ transplants have improved too. You can replace almost everything from your body . But when all of these great advances come down to a personal decision , it gets difficult. I respect donors a lot, but I wish I knew what inspired them to do so. If someone handed me a donor card to fill out, my instinct would propably be to pass it right back. I do not plan to ever get rid of any part of my body. Nor do I think I am being selfish, but giving an organ away just is not realistic. Moreover, donating an organ seems to me like giving a part of your life away. But circumstances and life can change us and our thinking .
If a family member , relative or friend needed a transplant in order to stay alive, it would definitely be easier to donate an organ in that case . I am not sure that would I do it for a stranger . It really depends on who needs the organ. If someone I care about needs an organ to survive , I would gladly donate it. I would much rather go through a struggle with them rather than sit there , watching them suffer, and do nothing when I have the means to help.
I do understand people who agree to donate their body parts in the event of their own death . You do not need your body anymore anyway, so why not? Thousands of lives are saved every day in the US by people willing to donate their organs in this way. If the day ever comes that I would need an organ transplant, then I will be very thankful to my donor, whether I knew them or not. After this I’ll definitely think about organ donations in a very different way. If there is someone out there to help me, then I do not see any reason why I would not help back. So, it is possible I would help a stranger in this way, one day.
In conclusion , I would like to say that people should definitely consider all the circumstances before signing a donor card. First , consult with your closest friends or family and seek their advice . Next, write down all the pros and cons with great thought. Finally , make your decision wisely. In my opinion, donating is clearly a very noble thing . It is just a very difficult thing to think about and being willing to do.

However little known the feelings or views of such a man may be on his first entering a neighbourhood, this truth is so well fixed in the minds of the surrounding families, that he is considered the rightful property of some one or other of their daughters. "My dear Mr. Bennet," said his lady to him one day, "have you heard that Netherfield Park is let at last?" Mr. Bennet replied that he had not. "But it is," returned she; "for Mrs
