Giving opinion

4. If you ask me, _______ 4.0 GIVING YOUR OPINION ABOUT A TOPIC 4.1 Expressing a strong opinion In my opinion, fashion is a complete waste of time, money and resources. In my opinion, there's only one choice - English! In my view, government money shouldn't be used to support the Arts. In my reckoning, if we could lock up juvenile criminals, they'd learn that they couldn't get away with it. I strongly believe in preventing problems before they happen. In much the same way as the Japanese prepare for earthquakes, countries with dry climates could have water catchment systems and reservoirs to defend against water shortage. I definitely think that countries should be self-sufficient in food and basic necessities. Don't you think it's better to stay single? Well, if you ask me, it all depends on your circumstances. Well, I th...

EUTHANASIA

EUTHANASIA Many hotly debated social questions revolve around choice. Giving people access to assistance in dying is one of them. The issue is too sensitive to come to a smple conclusion. The basic question is : should a person who is terminally ill and who feels that their life is not worth living, who is repeatedly asking for euthanasia and who is of sound mind be given assistance in dying so that they could do it in a dignified manner rather than have their lives prolonged by medical technology?

PIRACY

We have to consider that not everything on the internet is legal. Sharing and downloading music and films is most of the time illegal, but everyone thinks that ,,if everyone is doing it and not getting in trouble, then it must be ok." Some of people thinks that illegal file sharing even helps the music industry. Before you are downloading or sharing some files that you don't own, you should firstly think about that if you would be happy, when you are giving yourself into something and you get nothing back, because of the others, who's giving it away for free. It's like working for free. I can get it that CD-s and DVD-s etc are expensive, but you just have to respect the ones who are working for these.

Children while young

I think that there are not the right age for having children. It is so individual how people get ready to having them. Some of them are mature already in beginning of 20´s, therefore some people are not mentally adult even on their 30´s. Or like one of my relatives says that the best combination is young healthy woman and an older wealthy man. Also, the term young is very relative. Concidering the age of woman giving birth for the first time is about 25. It has been increased very much comparing with the ten years back time and the medium age for woman giving birth is 35. The society thinks that it is quite late and so am I. In my point of view people should have children when their health is on the best condition. So, I think that the best age for having children is befor 40´s on men and before 30´s for woman. It is well known that woman over 35 is a risky group for having children.

Product Presentation

Our product also has a removeable filter, therefore the customer can clean it easily and efficiently, thus freeing up their time so that they can do other things. The long-life AC motor of the hairdryer gives the customer a high-power airflow for a faster drying time. It has three heat and two speed settings and also a cold shot button, which is superior to a similar hairdryer such as the TRESemmé 5542DU Power 2200w hairdryer, which only has two heat and speed settings. We believe giving the customer more choice makes them happier, and the reviews reflect that idea. Our hairdryer has a five-year guarantee, which is two years longer than the aforementioned TRESemmé hairdryer, and we believe this gives good value for money as although the hairdryer is robust, if it breaks after four years, the customer will be covered if they have our hairdryer, but not if they have another hairdryer on the market with a shorter guarantee period.

Modern Hero

become much easier. We give the title "hero" away much faster and there is actually no surprise to that- there aren't really any monsters left to fight or people to fight them. For example we share the title every evening on TV news (TV3 Eestimaa uhkus) to people who have done a good act. It has both-cons and pluses. The pluses are that showing people their deeds should encourage others to help out in case possible but in the other hand giving away the title too easily ruins its meaning. If all you need is one act of goodness to be a hero, then why bother yourself any more? I think giving away the title on everyday news has decreased the number of possible real heroes who would go to war in case needed or risk their own life for someone's else's etc. I feel like the real heroes have died out and the only ones we are left are fictional. Another thing that has changed during centuries is the motivation of a hero. It used to be

We all have felt good about donating something.

In addition to good medical science, organ transplants have improved too. You can replace almost everything from your body. But when all of these great advances come down to a personal decision, it gets difficult. I respect donors a lot, but I wish I knew what inspired them to do so. If someone handed me a donor card to fill out, my instinct would propably be to pass it right back. I do not plan to ever get rid of any part of my body. Nor do I think I am being selfish, but giving an organ away just is not realistic. Moreover, donating an organ seems to me like giving a part of your life away. But circumstances and life can change us and our thinking. If a family member, relative or friend needed a transplant in order to stay alive, it would definitely be easier to donate an organ in that case. I am not sure that would I do it for a stranger. It really depends on who needs the organ. If someone I care about needs an organ to survive, I would gladly donate it

Television

Television is a daily presence in the lives of most young children . TV is playing a very big role in their life. Television has its good side. It can be entertaining and educational, and can open up new worlds for kids, giving them a chance to travel the globe, learn about different cultures. However spending time watching TV can take time away from healthy activities like active play outside with friends, eating dinner together as a family, or reading. TV time also takes away from participating in sports, music or art.

Hoe to write an argumentative essay?

HOW TO WRITE AN ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY An argumentative essay is a formal, impersonal piece of writing in which the writer is either expected to give a balanced consideration of a particular topic, or to state their own opinion clearly and then support it by giving reasons. An essay should begin with an introduction in which some background information is given about the problem that is going to be discussed. The angle from which the problem is going to be looked upon in the essay is also stated. In longer essays these are in different paragraphs, in shorter ones they can be in one paragraph. The body of the essay usually consists of several paragraphs, the number of which depends on the length of the essay

Oliver Twist

I read a book called „Oliver Twist“ which is written by Charles Dickens. It was first published in 1837. The scenery of the book takes place in the 18th century England. The main character of the story is Oliver. The story starts with Oliver’s mother giving birth to Oliver and she herself dies after giving birth. No one knew who was Oliver’s father, so he grew up in a workhouse. In 8 years, he was moved to a different workhouse, because he was too old to keep living in the same one he lived in before. In the workhouse children have to work all day while they are starving. One day after finishing their food, some boys including Oliver decide to cast lots and whoever loses has to go and ask for more food. Oliver loses and he goes to ask, but gets denied and punished for asking for more food

Stress of the Young people Today

Stress of the Young people Today I think every young people have been faced with stress, like feeling exhausted or undrer excessive pressure. It may cause a desire to run far away from problems just because couldn't cope with it. The main thing in school age peoples what causes stress is probably school. Teachers are giving too much homeworks for not thinking that them subject is the most important. Also about half tests in one period is in the same week. The second thing I bring up is lack of funding. For young people is important hang out with friends, going to the cinema, shopping or just käia kuskil trennis. Everything costs nowadays, but if you don't have money, it causes more stress. Thirdly some young people, especially teenagers, don't get on with their family. They

Having children while young

Another point is that you don't have enough money to support the baby. Diapers are very expensive. You are not as experienced in the world, less wise so not only less wisdom to pass on to the kids, but less wisdom on effectively raising your children. You can't enjoy your young and single life, because you have do nurture your child. On the plus side you are much more energetic than some older parents. You will be younger when they grow up and move out, giving you more freedom earlier on. You will see more of their lives before you pass on. For example, many of my friend got a child when they were still in school and they are happy about the baby but also they are so sad because they dropped put of school to raise their kid. Last of all, having children while young has it's pros and cons. In conclusion, many people have the same opinion as I, that having a kid while young is wrong.

Report 2, English

To: John Howell From: Anna Abi Subject: Suggestions Date: 2nd March 2009 Purpose The purpose of this report is to suggest ways of making the shop more profitable. Rewards cards Firstly, I think it would be a good idea to start giving out rewards cards to loyal customers to show them that we value them as clients and it would also show to our future clients that we are a company that supports their customers. Lower prices Secondly, I would suggest slightly lowering our prices and letting the public know of it. We should grow a reputation as a company that is not trying to rob their clients of their money. This would be a great advertisement for the shop and would boost our clientele, making up for the little lost from the

Reasons why people work

As Mothet Teresa said " Work without love is slavery" and fortunately there are many people in world who work because they love what they do. For example artists, musicians and actors do not earn a lot of money, however they can give the world something we need- entertainment. In addition to musicians, actors, and artists there are many other sincere, thoughtful and open-minded people who find time in addition to their daily work to help those who need help giving food to homeless people, helping children who are left without parents and taking care for the animals in the shelter. These people are doing this without getting any charge but they believe that what goes around come back around. All in all it can be said that people need money to live however it is not the only reason why people work.It is glad to see people who have other values than just money. As for me I believe that every person should work for love.

Working at home and in the office

seems to have many benefits. People who work at home can personally choose their working hours according to their own lifestyle and take as many breaks as they feel necessary. A good rest and a comfortable atmosphere can easily raise the quality of the work that people are doing. However, when people work at home, they might find it hard to focus and they can easily lost their motivation when they don't have a boss breathing down their necks and a clock that is ticking time and never giving them any rest. Working at home and in the office have both good sides and bad sides, but if I'd have to choose one, I'd probaly like to work in the office, because when you work in the office, forgetting about your work and problems caused by this is much easier. When you work at home, it is much morerelax after you've finished working.

Thanksgiving

Topic No. 4 Thanksgiving In the United States, the fourth Thursday in November is called Thanksgiving Day. On this day Americans give thanks for the blessings they have enjoyed during the year. Thanksgiving is usually a family day, celebrated with big dinners. The first American Thanksgiving was held in Plymouth. The Puritans from England came to America because they were unappreciated. They were called the Pilgrims. They came to America on a ship called Mayflower. September was the worst season of the year for sea crossing. After 65 days they landed at Cape Cod. The Pilgrims suffered a great deal during their first winter, because they were poorly equipped and poorly trained. One spring morning an Indian came and introduced him in a friendly way. The Indian chief offered assistance to the pilgrims and the Indians thought the Pilgrims how to hunt, fish, and grow food. ...

Proposal report

Our objections to the center Our only objections to the shopping center are that since malls take away a lot of space, it will ruin the beautiful scenery outside the city. Also, more cars would be constantly driving down the road which would then increase the noise pollution. Conclusion Overall, the residents' committee agrees that the shopping center being built is a good idea and will help this town greatly in terms of giving people a bigger freedom of choice in where to shop.

Friends have more influence than family

But why do people even think, that teenagers have more influence than family? For sure, children love their parents and parents love them. Family always wants the best for the child and every child should appreciate that. Parents can always help the child, for example when the child is making wrong decisions in life. Parents know you the best, and in my mind, it's necessary to have you family influence the most. In the other hand, friends, who are at the same age and who are giving you the help with making decisions in life, can't guaratnee that their information is the best. When you are at young age, definitely family has more influence than friends. You haven't found out the real and fake friends. The more you grow, the more you get to know people and their skill of being a good friend. When you find a good group of friends, you decide to share secrets, hang out and improve your relationships with them. You start
