Scholarship application Essays
My name is …. and I am asking for the Swedbank scholarship for the 2009-2010 academic year . My educational objective is to graduate in 2010 the Tallinn University of Technology and obtain a degree in Business to pursue a career in Accounting .
I like to talk to you why I chose for my specialty of accountancy. I have always enjoyed working with computers and I love numbers. In high school was my favorite subject mathematics, too. Accountancy is the specialty, that allows me to pursue both interests – I can do something what I really enjoy. In future, when I have finished the university I like to go to work in bank . Maybe in the loan department , because there I have to expand lots of documents, that likes me very much. I like to do work , where I have always something to do.
Now I want you to know something about me and my history. In my family, there are my mother , father and little sister. They live in my hometown Rapla , where I have finished high school. I was my class best graduate. After my high school I came to Tallinn. Now I am the student of Tallinn College of Tallinn University of Technology. I am very responsible, hard working and I have always enjoyed new challenges. They are teaching to be better competitive .
I do not have any children yet. I think more important is to get good education and then when I am well-off I can offer to my children and for myself a better life. I am very thankful for my parents , who are teach me and always helped if they could . Thanks for them I am who are I am. They know that they can be very proud of me. When I was young, even then I was very smart and listen what smart people told me. When I was five years old I could read newspapers and similarly was with me a mathematics book, where I solved simple tasks.
In Tallinn I do not have free time for my hobbies and it is very sad. Because the sport is very near to my heart. In Rapla I liked to visit a fitness studio . And when the weather was good I liked to run. I hope after the first term at university I will have more time and I can do sport in Tallinn, too. But always I listening the music. It has to surround me because then I do not feel myself alone . If I find free time I visit my parents. They are very important for me and I love to spend the time with them. My mother is like my best friend , who I can trust . I can talk her everything, she listens me and gives good advice .
Now when you know me better, I like to tell why I need a scholarship and how will it make a difference to me. Although I work part -time, I find it is difficult to supporting myself and paying for education. The money that I earn as an Accountant Assistant is barely to cover my living costs . My parents provide me with a room , but because I have younger sisters, they cannot help me with my educational expenses. A scholarship will allow me to continue with college learning . Receiving a scholarship would allow me to reduce the number of hours that I work, which would then allow me more time to concentrate on my studies.
I hope you can help me and I can continue my learning. It was very important me, because only with good education I can find good job and then I can be useful for my country , too.
