programme called Community Trade, making us the only cosmetics company with such an extensive commitment to trading fairly. Community Trade now works with 31 suppliers in 24 countries, providing over 15,000 people across the globe with essential income to build their futures. The Body Shop is a leader in the trend towards greater corporate transparency, and we have been a force for positive social and environmental change through our lobbying and campaigning programmes around our five core Values: Support Community Trade, Defend Human Rights, Against Animal Testing, Activate Self-Esteem, and Protect Our Planet. We also have our own charity, The Body Shop Foundation. Launched in 1990 (registered charity no. 802757) we give financial support to pioneering, frontline organisations that otherwise have little hope of conventional funding. The Foundation's focus is to assist those working to achieve progress in the areas of human and civil rights, environmental and animal protection.

Investors Handbook. A Legal Guide to Business in Georgia

The main aim of the reforms was to boost foreign investments, cre- ate new jobs, stimulate entrepreneurial activities in a variety of fields and increase the welfare of citizens. As a result of economic deregulation policy which was focused on liberalization of the Economy, a number of state regulated spheres were sharply decreased and regulation procedures were sim- plified. Consequently, our achievements have been recognized by a number of international in- stitutions. This year the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation published a joint research Doing Business 2011, under which Georgia ranks 12th among 183 countries in terms of Ease of Doing Business. Moreover, Georgia surpasses 174 counties in terms of reformation of business regulations since 2005. Last but not least, Georgia ranks first in the Post-soviet space, excluding the Baltic countries, in terms of counter-corruption policy. It is worth noting that de-

Introduction of SCM

INTRODUCTION OF SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT (SCM) A supply chain is a network of facilities and distribution options that performs the functions of procurement of materials, transformation of these materials into intermediate and finished products, and the distribution of these finished products to customers. Supply chains exist in both service and manufacturing organizations, although the complexity of the chain may vary greatly from industry to industry and firm to firm. Supply chain management is typically viewed to lie between fully vertically integrated firms, where the entire material flow is owned by a single firm and those where each channel member operates independently. Therefore coordination between the various players in the chain is key in its effective management

Archbishop In Christianity, an archbishop is a bishop of higher rank or office. Like popes, patriarchs, metropolitans, cardinal bishops, diocesan bishops, and suffragan bishops, archbishops are in the highest of the three traditional orders of bishops, priests, also called presbyters, and deacons. An archbishop may be granted the title, or ordained as chief pastor of a metropolitan see or another episcopal see to which the title of archbishop is attached. Bishop is an ordained or consecrated member of the Christian clergy who is generally entrusted with a position of authority and oversight. Some Protestant churches including the Lutheran and Methodist churches have bishops serving similar functions as well, though not always understood to be within apostolic succession in the same way. One who has been ordained deacon, priest, and then bishop is understood to hold the fullness of the (ministerial)

Public International Law is a system of law

before the creation of UN and the collapse of the colonial system, only metropolitan nations were considered subject of international law, this was created before the collapse of the colonialized system, UN charter is a very old and stupid document, that's why there's still such a definition) Strong point of int. Conventions - it's easier to apply, no proof is needed, the rules exist in the text. However, int. Treaties and conventions are only legally binding for member states, some conventions are not applicable to everybody. Customs are compulsory for everybody, for all countries of the world. However, it's harder to apply these, because there should be a consensus that a custom is customary norm for it to be legally binding. To create a legally binding norm, two criteria: 1) should have general practice of the states (practice should be established, wide-spread and consistent; it should be a settled practice),

Landeskirche in the Estonian and Livonian territories, the Lutheran church long maintained a de facto predominance. The most important organ of Baltic German local government was the Diet, consisting of all the noble families who had been `selected' in a list of the eligible. Although jealously guarding their privileges, the knighthoods still never became entirely closed. Between sessions of a Diet, the legislative power of the knighthoods belonged to the Council of the Diet. The towns were governed by the Town Councils, which supplemented their ranks from among the representatives of merchants and lawyers. The citizens and the inhabitants of a town did not coincide -- most of the population had no civic rights. The lower class mainly consisted of Estonians. While an special status secured the supremacy of the Baltic knighthood and the German upper classes in towns, it considerably aggravated the legal and social situation of Estonians

What is integrated care?

Researchers and policy-makers need to work together with practitioners to develop, evaluate and implement effective approaches. Find out more online at: www.nuffieldtrust.org.uk/integratedcare 4 What is integrated care? An overview of integration in the NHS The current focus on integrated care reflects a long-standing concern in the NHS with the organisation of care across three sectors of the health service (primary, secondary and tertiary). This can be thought of as `internal' integration and is the main focus of this report. Furthermore, the organisational separation of health and adult social care services (with the exception of Northern Ireland) has been a further cause of service fragmentation for many users; representing a concern for `external' integration.

The 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS 1974), subsequently amended in 2000 and 2002, specifies the requirements for the navigational equipment to be used onboard ships entitled to fly the flag of a party to the convention. This Convention was adopted by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), the United Nations Organisation that is concerned with maritime transportation. IMO member states are obliged to adopt IMO rules and regulations into their national legislation. However, only when the convention text has been incorporated into national legislation does it take effect for the individual ships registered in that country. This process of incorporation into national legislation may vary from a few months to several years. The country in which a ship is registered and hence which flag it is flying is known as the Flag State

prevalent in the Western society. The purpose of this dissertation is to critically explore this hotly debated tension between these two conflicting salient features that have often prevented the recognition of children as active citizens, entitled to respect and participation. With a particular interest in Wales, the following research project analyses the development of children`s active participation both in the Welsh Government and the County and Council of Swansea as they both have regarded the UNCRC on the basis of all its activity. Finally, the Cadle Primary School in Swansea has been used as a case study to investigate the potential change in attitudes in children after the school placed the UNCRC at the heart of its ethos and curriculum across all areas of the school. The primary goal is to critically analyse the commitment of the Cadle towards children`s participation within school and explore the

A need for such music had arisen and there were composers able to fulfil that need. Further development has brought forth pregnant, succinct individual works based on both nationally inspired and international means of expression. Juxtaposing the beginnings and the present moment we may observe the continual increase of manifold aesthetic values, being merged into the cultural life of the epoch, mirroring the eternal demands of Man’s spiritual existence. 13 When the architectural design has evolved to a certain point, the engineers will start developing the structural design and performing analysis. Schinler and Nelson (2008) argue that BIM has blurred the lines between the traditional engineer/drafter dichotomy, with engineers picking up more coordination work using the BIM model. At the same time, Bernstein (2009), vice president of the Building Solutions Division of Autodesk, points out that BIM will not change the use of carefully constructed analytical models engineers have built over the years. Nor will it replace proven analysis applications like Robobat, CSC or Sofistik. The increasing importance of mathematics is generating a new, almost surgical precision in building design and construction. The tolerance for conventional structural steel for

They rest on the concept of the cipher alphabet. This is the list of equivalents used to transform the plaintext into the secret form. A sample cipher alphabet might be: plaintext letters abcdefghijklm cipher letters LBQACSRDTOFVM plaintext letters nopqrstuvwxyz cipher letters HWIJXGKYUNZEP This graphically indicates that the letters of the plaintext are to be replaced by the cipher letters beneath them, and vice versa. Thus, enemy would become CHCME, and swc would reduce to foe. A set of such correspondences is still called a "cipher alphabet" if the plaintext letters are in mixed order, or even if they are missing, because cipher letters always imply plaintext letters. Sometimes such an alphabet will provide multiple substitutes for a letter. Thus plaintext e, for example, instead of always being replaced by, say, 16, will be replaced by any one of the figures 16, 74, 35, 21

pregnancy. During this period, certain hormones lower the level of the mother's immune system, so the body will not fight the new foreign genetic material in her womb. Fessler hypnotized that the nausea response helps to compensate the suppressed immune system. He gathered almost 500 healthy pregnant women and asked them to consider potentially stomach-turning scenarios. He found that women in the early trimester scored much higher across the board in disgust sensitivity than their counterparts in the 2nd and 3rd trimester. According to Fessler, many of the diseases that are most dangerous are food-borne, but our ancestors could not afford to be picky about what they ate. The natural selection may have helped to decrease the chance of disease by increasing the urge to be picky. The sensitivity seems to diminish as the risk of disease decreases. This is consistent with the view of disgust as a form of protection.

AMBER AND RUSSET - LATE COLOUR CHANGE GENES Copyright 2014, Sarah Hartwell The ancestors of the domestic cat were nondescript black/brown striped tabbies. Over the centuries, mutation produced a wide array of colours based on 2 different pigments. Eumelanin gives the blacks, browns and blues while phaeomelanin gives the reds, fawns and creams. A few other genes give further variations on those colours such silvers, colourpoints and solids/selfs. Mutations continue to occur and unexpected colours also turn up due to inbreeding where recessive genes, hidden for generations, start showing up. AMBER AND LIGHT AMBER During the 1990s, some purebred Norwegian Forest Cats in Sweden produced chocolate/lilac and cinnamon/fawn offspring. However, those colours are not found in the purebred Norwegian Forest Cat gene pool. Had the gene pool become polluted by someone, perhaps generations ago, breeding their Norwegian Forest Cat to another breed? Was it a spontaneous mutation? Crossing of those c

Africans blame either the British, French or little Portuguese/Spanish for their problems. Africans in America blame the Caucasians for all their problems, or any other ethic group they have allowed to take over their neighbours, a frequently recurring phenomena. Africans blame the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the Group of 7, the former colonial masters for the abject poverty in our respective countries. We blame the wars ravaging several African sectors on the interference of our former colonial masters on “our internal affairs.” Ha! – some kind of independence!
