Why was life better / worse in Estonia 50 years ago?
If we go back in time 50 years, then we will find ourselves in the year 1958. Certainly it was not one the brightest periods in our lives , because all the Estonians were occupied by Russians and the governing power was also held by them . It was a time where we never even dreamed about life we are having nowadays . The way of life was very complicated, people had limited rights and all the things we nowadays have done by machines were all handmade. These are the major reasons, which made me think that life was worse 50 years ago than now. Why was it so?
Firstly, nowadays we can speak about many comforts, which 50 years ago was not so. In 1950s’ there were any conveniences at all – everything had to be made by yourself and people were living a poor life. People did not have the chance to own expensive technics(as a matter of fact some of them were not invented yet or it just had not been that widespread), wear the clothes they would have liked and live a life like they had always wished. Even if they tried hard to pursue to the highs, the chance of getting somewhere was close to zero. Nowadays, people can afford themselves a good and livable life, having the work done by machines, wear the clothes they want to and feel free to become more and more successful every day.
Secondly, 50 years ago, people had very limited rights, which made them kind a shy and sour . Even getting a job was a complicated act, because there were not many workstations. And the other problem was that people did not have fair qualification.
Nowadays there is open ways everywhere . Anyone can study and work on whatever job when they have enough will. Having much money will certainly come handy here . But even without the money it is possible to do what your heart desires – it is all up to you.
The third reason , why life is now much more better, is that people are financially insured. Everyone has their own right what to do with the money, where to spend or who to give it. All the frontiers are free, which only do not mean traveling, but also availability of different foods and materials. It helps to rise the richness of our dining table and is also good for health.
Considering all, I am certain that life in the year 2008 is more worry free, qualified and livable than it was 50 years ago. I think people should be thankful to the government and all the people who have helped to build up our country .

THE CAPITALIST NIGER

THE CAPITALIST NIGER Chika Onyeani ………………………Every African must internalise this book - period….DAA INTRODUCTION In October 1960, Nigeria received its independence from Britain. By then, Ghana the former Gold Coast had been independent for three years under the great Osagyefo Kwame Nkumah. It was a time for celebrating Africa’s coming of age, as more and more African countries received their independence either from Britain or France. It was especially a poignant time for Africa, as then British Prime Minister Harold McMillan articulated his now famous “winds of change” sweeping Africa. We had high hopes for Africa, for the Black race, that the insidious imposition of foreign rule on us, the looting of Africa’s

toaststrapped to its back CHAPTER 13Guide for the perplexed Making usability happen where you live AcknowledgmentsI ndex Preface: About this edition People come and go so quicklyhere! —DOROTHYGALE(JUDYGARLAND)INTHEWIZARDOFOZ(1939) I wrote the first edition ofDon’t Make Me Thinkback in 2000. By 2002, I began to get a few emails a year from readers asking (very politely) if I’d thought about updating it. Not complaining; just trying to be helpful. “A lot of the examples are out of date” was the usual comment. My standard response was to point out that since I wrote it right around the time the Internet bubble burst, many of the sites I used as examples had already disappeared by the time it was published. But I didn’t think that made the examples any less clear.
