Isekuse sajand

Most needed professions in 21st century in Estonia

21st century century when the world around us changes faster than ever before. With that accompanies different changes in our everyday lives. Nowadays there is growing demand in highly qualified workers and not only in big empires but also in smaller countries like Estonia. In Estonia the most needed professions are connected with computers, different hi-tech machines and healthcare. Firstly, in my opinion the biggest deficit is in doctors. The main reason for that might be that the studies take a lot of time, sometimes about 10 years, which means that we can start working at the age of 28 to 30. Another reason could be that doctors are in my opinion very often underpaid and with that comes up another problem. In hope to get bigger salaries they often go abroad leaving our small independent country without highly qualified doctors.

The Future of Work or How Artificial Intelligence Will Affect Us in 20 years

The Future of Work Automation anxiety has been spreading lately. What's clear is that there will be significant change. What's less clear is what that change will look like. The threat of technological unemployment is real. A picture that we see on our television screens, in everyday commentary is one where an army of robots descend on the workplace with one goal in mind: to displace humans from their work. Yes, machines displace humans from particular tasks, but they don't just substitute for humans. They also complement them in other tasks. Sometimes they complement humans directly. So a taxi driver can use a satnav system to navigate on unfamiliar roads. It also complements humans indirectly and it does this in two ways. Think the economy as a pie. Technological progress makes the pie bigger. As productivity increases, incomes rise and demand grows. People displaced from the

Biggest dangers to wild animals in Estonia.

What are the biggest dangers to wild animals in Estonia? Wild animals in Estonia, like in many other places in the world, are in danger. Forest industry, agriculture and other human activities in the nature, as well as pollution, disturb and even endanger the life of wild animals. Firstly, big forest machines disturb animals. For example, in winter the machines disturb animals who hibernate in winter. As a result, animals can leave their habitations and go somewhere else where is quiter. In addition to disturbing animals, the forest industry endanger wild animals' lives. Some machines can simply kill some animals accidentally. Besides, there are some species which are rear in Estonian forests. These species should be protected. A further problem is poaching- although it is not a very big problem in Estonia, it affects the number of animals.

Milking machine

• . • Catheter milking was blamed for various problems, such as spread of disease, weakened sphincter muscles causing continuous dribbling, and injury to the teats. • At this point, The American Agriculturist began to accept advertisements for milkers, although, very few were printed. Their expressed opinion was that the milkers were of little value, but, did no apparent harm to the cows. Variety • The great variety and number of early milking machines can be categorized into two groups, those that tried to emulate hand milking (mechanical pressure devices), and those that tried to emulate the sucking calf (vacuum devices). • Proponents of both types of milkers turned out an endless variety of contraptions for over 50 years, until the modern pulsator made the suction method the clear winner. First vacuum milker patents • Hodges and Brockenden secured an English patent for such a device in 1851.

Pros and cons of technology

We could not imagine our lives without it. But what are the pros and cons of technology? Time is money. Of course those wonderful inventions can save our time and nowadays when the pace of life is very fast, it is so important. In my opinion the communications technology is the most valuable, because it makes possible to resque people who need help. A development of transport is also important in this field. But the fact is that people are getting lazy. Machines do all the work for the people. We just sit and watch machines doing our duties, unfortunately it is so harmful for our health. Computers, the internet and social networks they all put up a wall between real-life communicating. People can not speak and write correctly, because they are usind slang every day on the internet. It is quite impossible to avoid technology, we are forced to use it, for example e-school and the internet bank

Renewable energy

Most renewable energy comes from the sun. Hydroelectric energy is the oldest and largest source. Renewable energy a.k.a "green" energy. Thank you for listening! We use energy every day. It surrounds us in different forms, such as light, heat, and electricity. Our bodies use the energy stored in molecules of substances like carbohydrates and protein to move, breathe, grow, and think. We also use energy to do work and to play. Humans have invented thousands of machines and appliances that use energy to make our work easier, to heat our homes, and to get ourselves from place to place. Some of these machines use electricity, while others, like automobiles, use the energy stored in substances such as gasoline. Renewable energy is energy generated from natural resources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, and geothermal heat, which are renewable. Renewable energy uses natural resources that can be replaced or "renewed" without harming the

Speech: The challenges of the 21st century

I told about that to my friend and she had also recognized that her math skills have reverted. A century ago nobody knew technical instruments such as calculator or computer. People calculated by themselves, the letters were sent by post and people had more time to spend with family than nowadays, because now the majority of us are spending time on the Internet. So is the development of technique our fortune or accident? Of course the technique makes our lives easier. New agricultural machines are able to do more work than we. Planes and ships enable us to discover foreign countries thousands of miles away and broaden the mind. Moreover we have a chance to find interesting and educating information from computer, but with what price? All these robots and facilities prevent us from thinking ourselves. We create traps, from which is difficult to get out. For example the using of the calculator generates in us the fixation. We

Why was life better-worse in Estonia 50 years ago?

Why was life better /worse in Estonia 50 years ago? If we go back in time 50 years, then we will find ourselves in the year 1958. Certainly it was not one the brightest periods in our lives, because all the Estonians were occupied by Russians and the governing power was also held by them. It was a time where we never even dreamed about life we are having nowadays. The way of life was very complicated, people had limited rights and all the things we nowadays have done by machines were all handmade. These are the major reasons, which made me think that life was worse 50 years ago than now. Why was it so? Firstly, nowadays we can speak about many comforts, which 50 years ago was not so. In 1950s' there were any conveniences at all everything had to be made by yourself and people were living a poor life. People did not have the chance to own expensive technics(as a matter of fact some of them were not invented yet or it just had not been

He was able to create all sorts of machines. Leonardo Da Vinci's IQ was 220 and he is widely considered one of the most diversely talented person ever to have lived. He was already very famous during his lifetime and interest in Leonardo and his works has never diminished. He never won any awards because at his lifetime no awards were given out. glass cities, where to live. Water won't be drinkable and people will buy all needful water from shops, actually not from shops but from the internet, because there won't be shops anymore. Food nearly won't exist anymore; energy will come in tablet form. Transport will be a lot comfortable and faster. Cars will be soundless and all vehicles will whir ten times faster. You will think nothing of taking a holiday in outer space. Students will learn from TV, recorders and teaching machines. They will get pills to make them learn faster. We shall be healthier, too. There will be no common colds, cancer, tooth decay or mental illness. But this will be artificial and impermanent. People will be lazier because they won't have to do any work and life will be extremely comfortable but boring. It looks that if everything will be so easy, people will probably die simply from boredom. It's the way I think the world will live in the next century - if there is any world left!

School should provide computers for students to use for all their school subjects

Firstly, sitting a long time in front of the computer screen is unhealthy. Students' eyes will be dry and they may have headache. It can also have a negative effect on students' moods. In addition, computer labs' maintenance is expensive. One which can be need to writing and using Internet only, costs not much, but if we need to buy about twenty computers for one class - it is huge amount. Only schools that have a lot of money can afford more machines. On the other hand, notebook can be useful and it doesn't damage your senses and health, but living in 21st century means using computers a lot. Moreover, a computer can be very convenient and useful for students. In conclusion, I think that in the near future students are going to use computers for all their subjects at school, but now we should try to avoid total computerization. I hope that will not be a global problem.

If you must have meat, opt for Canadian bacon, which is much lower in fat than pepperoni. Even college students need a balanced diet of protein, vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates and fats. Eat a variety of vegetables and moderate amounts of protein. Limit fats to the healthier choices, such as olive oil and nuts. for decades, vending machines have been the bane of many college students. They also carry the responsibility for the unhealthy "freshman fifteen," referring to the number of pounds college students often put on their first year at college. If you keep healthy snacks, such as raw veggies, yogurt and fresh fruit in your room, you may not have the urge to snack on chips and candy bars. Other healthy snacks that are easy to keep in your room are popcorn, pretzels, low-fat string cheese, raisins, trail mix,

The Internet has changed the way the people communicate to each other. With every passing day, more and more people use chat as a way to communicate. It is a way to meet new people, but it is also a way to decrease real relationships day after day. And The major disadvantage are machines and robots will replace people at work and majority of people will lose their jobs. In conclusion, as I have mentioned above, I can say that technology helping us and making our life more happier, easier, stronger, more convenient and make this world a better place to live. Täiuslik kohv

Clearly coffee brewed in a simple coffee pot where hot water is merely added to the ground coffee in a pot a coarse grind should be used as the hot water is likely to be in contact with the coffee for a long time. Inversely in an espresso machine the water is only in contact with the grind for 20-25 seconds (although under pressure) so a very fine (or espresso) grind is needed for optimum flavour extraction to occur. In a similar vein drip filter coffee machines require a medium to fine grind as the filter paper restricts the flow of hot water into the jug but even so the infusion time is quite short. The cafetiere (or French Press) method requires a medium grind as the coffee may infuse for a while before the customer decides to end the infusion process by depressing the integral strainer to trap the used grounds at the bottom of the pot. * Quantity of coffee used:

The industrial revolution

The industrial revolution The Industrial Revolution, which took place from the 18th to 19th centuries, was a period during which predominantly agrarian, rural societies in Europe and America became industrial and urban. By mid-century, many people worked for small businesses or on farms, laboring in fields that would yield barely enough food to feed the family. New inventions and technology began to change that, however. Larger factories opened and produced new farm equipment, such as the steel plow and the tractor, which allowed farmers to cultivate bigger fields and produce more food that cost much less. Developments in the iron industry also played a central role in the Industrial Revolution. In the early 18th century, Englishman Abraham Darby (1678-1717) discovered a cheaper, easier method to produce cast iron, using a coke-fueled (as opposed to charcoal-fired) furnace. In the 1850s, British engineer Henry Bessemer ...

apprentice. After a year he returned to Scotland and became a mathematical instrument maker. He also made musical instruments. He was asked to repair a small steam engine which was very primitive and used too much coal and a lot of steam was wasted. He found out that it was built on the wrong principle. It took him 2 years to put his theory into practice. He started making the new engine with a man called Baulton. James started improving his engine. His new machine could run machines and pump water out of the mines. It was used to drive wheels. But he didn't work only on his engine. He also made a copying machine. The unit of electric power was named " a watt " after him. He also discovered the composition of water. He lived up to the age of 83. A monument was erected to him in Westminster Abbey.

The invention of the car changed the world

The invention of the car changed the world. World is used to move unstoppably. How many of us can possibly imagine our everyday life without cars in it? We´d find it to be rather difficult. Probably the fact would blow up our day schedules and most of the plans that are made. In the olden days, a car was a poduct which was ment to be only for the rich ones. To the contrary, nowadays cars are very easily available for everyone (!).Speaking of which, it´s not much to mention that one extremely wierd and sad occasion would be that some people take advantage of haveing a car and tend to take up too high speeds for showing how tough fellows they are. Often boasting like this can cause big devastations, meaning accidents and all kinds of fines, not mentioning times, when a driver might be under influence of the alcohol, which is definitely the worst possibility of all. But that´s the world we live in ...

Leonardo Da Vinci elulugu (Inglise k.)

its mysterious quality brought about perhaps by the fact that the artist has subtly shadowed the corners of the mouth and eyes so that the exact nature of the smile cannot be determined. The shadowy quality for which the work is renowned came to be called Leonardo's Smoke. During his lifetime Leonardo was valued as an engineer. In a letter to Ludovico il Moro he claimed to be able to create all sorts of machines both for the protection of a city and for siege. When he fled to Venice in 1499 he found employment as an engineer and devised a system of moveable barricades to protect the city from attack. He also had a scheme for diverting the flow of the Arno River in order to flood Pisa. Within Leonardo's own lifetime his fame was such that the King of France carried him away like a trophy, and was claimed to have supported him in his old age and held him in his arms as he died

Environmental issues in Estonia

But our planet is threaten by environmental problems. Even a small country like Estonia can make difference. Our capital city is fighting against air pollution. But people produce much refuse and ways of recycling are getting old. Water pollution is also a problem in Estonia. We have factories that let their waste run into rivers. One of the biggest problems in Estonia is air pollution. Our air is polluted by exhaust fumes, because today we have a lot of cars, buses and other machines. In 2009 we had 407 cars to thousand inhabitants, which is lower than European Union average, but this number is still high. Because cars produce gases that contain carbon dioxide. This carbon dioxide in the air causes global warming, which is the result of the greenhouse effect. Tallinn wants to fight against it by offering public transportation for free, to Tallinn citizen. So that people would use more public transportation than their own car. Furthermore, it will change our climate. In

You can buy fast food just about anywhere that sells food and snacks. Vending machines, drive- thru restaurants, and 24 hour convenience stores are probably the most common places to find fast food. It's so popular because for under $5.00 you can usually get a filling meal. However, fast food is inexpensive because it is usually made with cheaper ingredients such as high fat meat, refined grains, and added sugar and fats, instead of nutritious foods such as lean meats, fresh fruits, and vegetables. Is fast food bad? There is no such thing as a "bad" food. All

Choices after secondary school

after high school. It is certainly true that univesrity are more of them who decided to do science work or do work what need more thinking. I have decided same way because I think that university education help to get better job on future. Especially when we have bad times on economy. Another opportunity is to go to trade school. There people study more how to do things by hands or how to use some special machine. Nowdays companies want people who can work with very expensive machines. Trade school is very good opportunity to learn some subject field and see has it like or not . Perhaps this is because on trade school you do not need to pay very big totals. Also it is good when you do not know what are you want for life. I believe that there are very many opportunities to choose. Like go to work, university or trade school. Right choose you need to do by yourself considering these sides. In my opinion everyone destinations are them own hands.
