The Retezat Mountains The Retezat Mountains are among the most noteworthy natural beauties of Romania. Due to its rich biodiversity, most part of this massif has been set up in 1935 as a National Park. The Mountains pertain to a greater mountain belt, the Southern Carpathians and are surrounded by countless hollows and valleys that facilitate road access through the mountains. I went to an adventure camp, I climbed Retezat Mountains and it was amazing. Retezat is a place for weekends and also for long staying. BARRIERS TO DISTRICT HEATING DEVELOPMENT IN SOME EUROPEAN COUNTRIES Abstract District heating (DH) offers low primary energy demand, high security of supply and small CO 2 emissions. Barriers to DH in the UK, Ireland, France, Romania and the Czech Republic have been compiled through publications and interviews. DH systems require large investments, have negative initial cash flow and long payback time, which obstructs financing. One actor should control DH from source to consumption. If the value chain is fragmented, contracts are required between the links. It increases risks and financing costs, like in the UK and Ireland, where DH is not established. There are few multi-

Dear Ms Peck, I saw your advertisement about volunteering work. I would like to join in and work with children. My name is Mari Mets and I am 18 years old. I speak Hungarian, English and Russian. I have a driving licence. Despite being 18 years old, I have organised holidays for youngsters before (2001 – Hungary; 2002 – Romania). In addition to that I have taken a course in child psychology (October – January 2000). Also, I really like children, I help with neighbour children on a regular basis. I could help with accommodation, organise games and activities, teach children various skills such as pottery, offer some help with general problems. I have some questions about the volunteer work. Where will the children be from? How long will the holidays be? What will living conditions be like?

"The Tramp" is a vagrant with the refined manners and dignity of a gentleman. The character wears a tight coat, oversized trousers and shoes, and a derby; carries a bamboo cane; and has a signature toothbrush moustache.

In 2011, Hungary assumed the six month rotating presidency of the EU for the first time (Central Intelligence Agency, 2012, ISSN 15538133). 2.3.2 Geography Location: Central Europe, northwest of Romania Area: total: 93 028 km2 land: 89 608 km2 and water: 3 420 km2 Coastline: 0 km Climate: temperate; cold, cloudy, humid winters; warm summers Terrain: mostly flat to rolling plains; hills and low mountains on the Slovakian border Natural resources: bauxite, coal, natural gas, fertile soils, arable land Land use: arable land: 49.58%, permanent crops: 2.06%, other: 48.36% (2005) Environment current issues: the upgrading of Hungary's standards in waste management, energy

2011: 4.6M in Ireland, 6.4M on the island Causes of emigration from Ireland. The Irish Famine caused some 150,000 people to leave the island. The Great Famine (1845-52) killed roughly a million and prompted another million to emigrate. In 1890, 40 % of Irish people were living abroad "Exodus in reverse" has been used to describe Irish people returning to Ireland, especially from the US. Immigration from many countries, but mostly from Poland, the UK, Lithuania, Latvia, Nigeria and Romania. Is Ireland still an emigration country? No 7. What is the difference between the Irish Free State and the Republic of Ireland? All three names refer to the same country (Northern Ireland was part of the Irish Free State for one day, if you want to be really pedantic). The Irish Free State was established in 1922. It was part of the British Commonwealth, and a dominion of the UK, with which it shared a monarchy. Before this, all of Ireland was a part of the UK.
to clean up 10,000 tons of waste. Under normal circumstances, it would have taken the Estonian government three years and 22.5 million Euros to clean up the same amount of illegal garbage. We did it for 500,000 Euros and it took only 5 hours. Country by country this idea started to spread. Active people in many countries have joined to clean up their countries in one day. In Latvia (210,000), Lithuania (250,000), Portugal (100,000), Slovenia (270,000), Romania (250,000), Albania (147,000), Hungary (200,000), Bulgaria (375,000), Ukraine (500,000), India (54,000), the Philippines (28,000) and in many other countries massive Let’s Do It! cleanups for a clean planet have been taking place. With more than 100 countries on board we have set ourselves a new challenge – to join the world for a massive cleanup day in 2018. On September 15, 2018, World Cleanup Day, people in 150 countries will stand up against the

Romaani (keeled): roma>romanus Algses tähendas romanus Rooma asula, hiljem linna, veelgi hiljem impeeriumi kodanikku/elanikke. Romanuse esimene tähendus on etniline tähendades rahvust. Romanz, romant= rahvakeel (romaan, romanss) Siit omandas "romaani" taas uusi tähendusi. Spetsiifilisemalt hakati romaanideks nimetama pikemaid värsistatud lugusid. Aga ka proosas hakkas tekkima
