leading a healthy one. I believe that living healthy doesn't mean that you only eat vegetables and fruit and drink herbal tea. I believe that it means, that you eat vegetables with meat, chicken and fish. You can't stop eating some things, you have to eat, but you can do it in smaller and reasonable amounts. The same goes for working out. It's not healthy, when you start working out, out of the blue, Like an olympic gymnist. You should start by short workouts. Start jogging for shorter distances and after a short amount of time start builing up your speed and lenghtening your distances. But nevertheless you shouldn't start working out without previous experiences. It would be a smart move to consult with a professional trainer, so you can learn how to warm up, how to do everything so you won't hurt yourself, and how to stretch after a workout. For instance many people without previous training experience start their "healthy" life by running long distances fast

Living in the countryside – a pleasant experience or a never-ending hardship?

Living in the countryside a pleasant experience or a never-ending hardship? Living in the countryside might be challenging for a modern human being, but it definitely has benefits for both mind and body. Countryside living spaces are usually less polluted, the pace of life is slower and people are more in touch with nature. Still, there is less entertainment than in cities, distances are longer and it can take much more time to get medical help if needed. Moving from city to country has been the traditional path for those in their 30s and 40s, particularly if children are involved. Nowadays flat rates in cities can be more expensive than living in a house in the countryside. Therefore, living in the countryside can be more affordable. In addition, the countryside is generally quiet and peaceful without the toxic polluted water and air.

Car vs horse.

I talking about that, why horse would be better than car. With horse you can run on everywhere, without damaging the ground. A horse dont need any fuel like cars, only food, water, and some vitamins. Horse does not emit toxic lead or carbon monoxide which can cause diseases on people and animals. But with horse you cant drive so fast and long distances like with car. Horse causes no traffic jam, he does not need to be managed traffic light since it travels with much slower speed and can stop faster than car. But of horse you must take more care than car. Car may stay in garage a long time, nothing happening with that, but horse often needs food and takeing more care.

War Horse inglisekeelne ülevaade

,,War Horse", a war drama film directed by Steven Spielberg talked about a horse and it's adventures before and during World War I. The screenplay is an adaption of M. Murpurgo's children's novel by the same name. One of the main characters is a boy named Albert, who'se father bought him a horse and Albert got to train it. Albert and the horse became very close friends. But when the war approached, they had to sell the horse in order to pay the bills. The horse, named Joey, travelled long distances and met many people. Everyone who saw Joey, wanted it to themselves. Finally, when the war was nearing it's end, Albert and Joey were reunited. I liked the movie because it told a compelling story about friendship and it taught us never to give up hope. The chances for Albert to see Joey again were very thin but luckily Joey was able to come back to it's true owner. I also liked the acting many of the actors did. It was top notch.

They have long legs and they can sprint at 50 km/h. They feed on a variety of plants and insects and they drink seldom, and they may travel long distances to find food. They are endowed with good eyesight and hearing. Interesting facts Emus ingest stones to grind food in the digestive system. Elephants eat massive amounts of food — in the case of the African elephant, as much as 660 pounds¹ in a single day. They communicate by touch, sight, and sound; elephants use infrasound, and seismic communication over long distances. I choosed that animal becose I love this animal and it's so big and strong. MORE INTERESTING ABOUT THIS ANIMAL : Because of their large size, elephants have a huge impact on their environments and are considered keystone species. Their habit of uprooting trees and undergrowth can transform savannah into grasslands; when they dig for water during drought, they create waterholes that can be used by other animals.

How to live healthy

Water is needed to carry out our body functions, remove waste and carry nutrients and oxygen around our body. Men should drink about 3 liters water a day, for women it's about 2 liters. Also, you should have enough sleep. If you are tired you eat more. Sleep is a key to a healthy lifestyle, and can benefit your heart, weight and mind. People who do regular activity have a lower risk of heart disease, stroke, and cancer. Choose walking over transport for close distances and climb the stairs instead of taking the lift. When you enjoy the sports, you'll naturally want to do them. If you want to stay fit eat fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables contain many vitamins and minerals that are good for your health. Also you should stop eating fast food because many processed food contain a high amount of salt which leads to high blood pressure. Positive mental healthy is an important part of a healthy life. to forget that walking is also one of the ways of traveling. But which is better travelling by car or walking on foot? On the one hand, travelling by car is much quicker than travelling on foot, on foot, people are travelling about 5 km/h, but with car, you can travel so fast, how fast you are allowed to. Also, car is much more comfortable, especially nowadays. But the biggest plus in travelling by car in my opinion, is that, when you are travelling by car you can travel long distances, but when you are walking, you can travel about 10 km and then human organism needs a rest. But there is no healthier travelling way than walking; when people are walking every day their health becomes strong and when human body is trained and strong, then it is strong against illness. On the other hand, travelling by car isn't so good and healthy as it seems. Some people don't even know that cars are one of the biggest nature and air polluters, cars are the major producers of carbon dioxide

It can be said that the material side of the car sustenance is difficult. A person must have a stable income to afford a car. Moreover, it is expensive to get a driver's license. It can be said that owning a car is an expensive pleasure. Secondly, driving a car can be compared to addiction as Matthew Perry once said:" I think we need to educate doctors about our addiction." Initially, people may not notice it, but over time it becomes clear that people cannot pass even the smaller distances without car. For instance, there are people who drive to the gym to do a workout there even if the distance is small. Nonetheless, it is good to have a car if it is necessary to save time. Thirdly, due to technical development, people always have a need to follow latest trends. There is always a demand for something new and better. New solutions involve situations, where the drivers first car purchase is also not the last. In turn,

The way Adams had envisioned it was that the general rule of thumb was to throw oneself at the ground and miss. This was achieved by getting distracted enough so one would not acknowledge the fact that one was flying. Drawing any attention towards oneself was not recommended, as the laws of gravity would notice and instantly drop one back to the ground. Interstellar distances were crossed using the Bistromathic Drive. The whole idea behind Bistromathics was that space depends on the observer's movement in restaurants. As Adams had specified, it relies on three nonabsolute (meaning that they could be anything) numbers: the number of people for whom the table is reserved, the given time of arrival and the relationship between the cost of the items on the check and the amount that people are prepared to pay for (47, 48).

Hemingway A Farewell to Arms (main characters)

Analysis of Major Characters Frederic Henry - In the sections of the novel in which he describes his experience in the war, Henry portrays himself as a man of duty. He attaches to this understanding of himself no sense of honor, nor does he expect any praise for his service. Even after he has been severely wounded, he discourages Rinaldi from pursuing medals of distinction for him. Time and again, through conversations with men like the priest, Ettore Moretti, and Gino, Henry distances himself from such abstract notions as faith, honor, and patriotism. Concepts such as these mean nothing to him beside such concrete facts of war as the names of the cities in which he has fought and the numbers of decimated streets. Against this bleak backdrop, Henry's reaction to Catherine Barkley is rather astonishing. The reader understands why Henry responds to the game that Catherine proposes--why he pledges his love to a woman he barely knows: like Rinaldi, he hopes

Cotton exports from the South boomed after the cotton gin's appearance (going from 180,000 pounds of total cotton production in 1793 to 93 million tons by 1810) while New England manufacturing companies struggled to compete against imported goods and clamored for tariff protection. The cotton interests led the country into war with Mexico. Cotton was a staple that could be stored for long periods and shipped long distances, unlike most agricultural food production. Paradoxically, the cotton gin, a labor-saving device, helped preserve the weakening arguments for slavery, since cheap (slave) labor was needed to pick cotton. Later, the 20th century invention of the cotton-picker reduced the labor-intensive demands of cotton farming, and brought unemployment to many poor Southerners. Dioxins and furans in the atmosphere

Haiglajäätmete põlemine 0,5 Tööstusjäätmete põletamine 8 Why are dioxins a problem? Dioxins are widely encountered toxic substances. They are found in all environmental compartments, are persistent and, being fat soluble, they tend to accumulate in higher animals including humans. Their resistance to degradation and semivolatility means that they may be transported over long distances and give rise to transnational exchanges of pollutants. In addition, dioxins which were released into the environment many years ago are still contributing to current exposure. Even very small dioxin concentrations can cause negative effects on the environment and on human health, in particular on the most vulnerable groups like children. Human health effects include impairment of the immune system, the nervous system, the hormonal system and the reproductive functions.

Trafalgar Square

The original name was to have been "King William the Fourth's Square", but George Ledwell Taylor suggested the name "Trafalgar Square". The northern area of the square had been the site of the King's Mews since the time of Edward I, while the southern end was the original Charing Cross, where the Strand from the City met Whitehall, coming north from Westminster. As the midpoint between these twin cities, Charing Cross is to this day considered the heart of London, from which all distances are measured. In the 1820s the Prince Regent engaged the landscape architect John Nash to redevelop the area. Nash cleared the square as part of his Charing Cross Improvement Scheme. The present architecture of the square is due to Sir Charles Barry and was completed in 1845. The comfortable hopping speed for Red Kangaroos is about 2025 km/h, but they can hop as fast as 70 km/h over short distances. Wombats are Australian marsupials; they are shortlegged, muscular quadrupeds, approximately one metre in length and with a very short tail. The name wombat comes from the Eora Aboriginal community who were the original inhabitants of the Sydney area. Wombats dig extensive burrow systems with rodentlike front teeth and powerful claws. Although mainly crepuscular and nocturnal, wombats will also venture out to feed on cool or overcast days

It is the art of gliding over snow. There are three types of it alpine skiing, freestyle skiing and cross-country skiing. Alpine skiing is downhill skiing. Skiing has been popular in Nordic countries for a long time. Finns used ski patrols in World War II. Skiing is also popular in Estonia. Especially cross-country skiing. We have some very good skiers. There are three good men who are Jaak Mae, Andrus Veerpalu and Raul Olle who skis longer distances. We also have a world-class female skier Kristina Smigun. They have won many medals. Football and basketball are also popular sports among Estonians. Many children go to football trainings but there are no world-famous footballers in Estonia. Mart Poom is the most well-known because he plays in the English Premiership and that league has very many viewers and fans. The best players go to play in foreign countries because our league level is quite low

There are different squares: adjustable square, which consists of three parts with screw hinge, centering square and flange square. Feeler Gauges are used to measure distances or clearances between two surfaces. They are usually made of hardened steel and provided with conical blades. The length of blades is 100 mm. The number stamped on each blade is the thickness of that particular blade in thousandths of an inch. Radius Gauges are concave and convex gauges for checking raised and recessed curvatures forming part of a circle. Screw Pitch Gauge can be used if there is any doubt as to the number of threads on a bolt, screw, nut, etc

mainland, which he describes as being triangular in shape. In his On the Ocean Pytheas refers to the most northerly point as Orcas, conceivably a reference to Orkney. The earliest written record of a formal connection between Rome and Scotland is the attendance of the "King of Orkney" who was one of eleven British kings who submitted to the Emperor Claudius at Colchester in AD 43 following the invasion of southern Britain three months earlier. The long distances and short period of time involved strongly suggest a prior connection between Rome and Orkney, although no evidence of this has been found and the contrast with later Caledonian resistance is striking. Originals of On the Ocean do not survive, but copies are known to have existed in the first century AD so at the least a rudimentary knowledge of the geography of north Britain would have been available to Roman military intelligence. The soil microflora largely depends on the type of soil, temperature, moisture, plant growth, nutrients, pH, and many other factors which may vary between locations but also within a single plot and over very small distances (OECD, 2007). Nevertheless of the quantity of microflora, biomass of all microorganisms living in soil play an important role in the functioning of entire soil ecosystems because their enormous biochemical activity (Barabasz et al. 2002). Soil microflora cycles carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulfur, plays a role in soil structure formation, decomposition of organic matter, toxin removal, promoting plant growth, and in changes in vegetation (Canbolat at al. 2005 and Martin et al. 2012)

First of all, a person's lifestyle can be a major factor in their wellbeing, both physical and mental. People who eat too much fast, fatty, or sugary foods without doing enough physical activity, may put on weight. This has serious effects and can lead to heart disease. Similarly, people who smoke and drink too much run the risk of getting cancers and heart disease. However, by avoiding these things and doing simple things such as walking short distances instead of driving, eating five portions of fresh fruit and vegetables a day, and taking 20 minutes' exercise three times a week reduces this risk and can prevent disease. As regards genetic factors, the situation is not so clear. Certain genetic factors mean that some people are forced into a lifestyle. For example, people who have certain allergies have to avoid foods containing the things they react badly to. In this case, avoiding certain foods as prevention is obviously necessary

Franklin's experiment with a kite one stormy night in Philadelphia, the principles of electricity gradually became understood. Thomas Edison helped change everyone's life -- he perfected his invention -- the electric light bulb. Prior to 1879, direct current (DC) electricity had been used in arc lights for outdoor lighting. In the late-1800s, Nikola Tesla pioneered the generation, transmission, and use of alternating current (AC) electricity, which can be transmitted over much greater distances than direct current. Tesla's inventions used electricity to bring indoor lighting to our homes and to power industrial machines. Despite its great importance in our daily lives, most of us rarely stop to think what life would be like without electricity. Yet like air and water, we tend to take electricity for granted. Everyday, we use electricity to do many jobs for us -- from lighting and heating/cooling our homes, to powering our televisions and computers. Electricity is a

hydration from the Eucalyptus leaves (also known as gum leaves) it eats, and only drinks when ill or times when there is not enough moisture in the leaves (during droughts etc.). The Emu is the largest bird native to Australia. The soft-feathered, brown, flightless birds reach up to 2 m in height. The Emu is common over most of mainland Australia, although it avoids heavily populated areas. Emus can travel great distances fast, if necessary, can sprint at 50 km/h for some distance at a time. They eat a variety of plants and insects. Emus are farmed for their meat, oil and leather. The Kangaroo is a common marsupial from the islands of Australia and New Guinea. There are 47 species of them. Kangaroos can hop up to 74 km per hour and go over 9 m in one hop. These shy animals live about 6 years in the wild and up to 20 in captivity. Most of them are active at night

below the oil layer and a layer of gas above it, although the different layers vary in size between reservoirs. Because most hydrocarbons are less dense than rock or water, they often migrate upward through adjacent rock layers until either reaching the surface or becoming trapped within porous rocks (known as reservoirs) by impermeable rocks above. However, the process is influenced by underground water flows, causing oil to migrate hundreds of kilometres horizontally or even short distances downward before becoming trapped in a reservoir. When hydrocarbons are concentrated in a trap, an oil field forms, from which the liquid can be extracted by drilling and pumping. The reactions that produce oil and natural gas are often modeled as first order breakdown reactions, where hydrocarbons are broken down to oil and natural gas by a set of parallel reactions, and oil eventually breaks down to natural gas by another set of reactions

corresponds to the length of time a signal takes to reach the base station from a mobile phone. GSM uses TDMA technology in the radio interface to share a single frequency between several users, assigning sequential timeslots to the individual users sharing a frequency. Each user transmits periodically for less than one-eighth of the time within one of the eight timeslots. Since the users are at various distances from the base station and radio waves travel at the finite speed of light, the precise arrival-time within the slot can be used by the base station to determine the distance to the mobile phone. The time at which the phone is allowed to transmit a burst of traffic within a timeslot must be adjusted accordingly to prevent collisions with adjacent users. Timing Advance (TA) is the variable controlling this adjustment. 13. Liiklus ja Erlang (E) ühik

"...bridges should befit the spirit of the community by exhibiting commodiousness, firmness, and delight." In more practical terms, he went on to explain that the way to avoid having the bridge carried away by the violence of water was to make the bridge without fixing any posts in the water. Since the beginning of time, the goal of bridge builders has been to create as wide a span as possible which is commodious, firm, and occasionally delightful. Spanning greater distances is a distinct measure of engineering prowess. In terms of engineering, bridges are discussed by design or type (beam, arch, truss, cantilever, suspension, or moveable); length (usually expressed in terms of clear or overall span); and materials (stone, wood, cast and wrought iron, and what we use today - concrete and steel). The purpose of this contextual essay is to provide parameters of value and significance so that we can focus our
