Cars enslave us rather than liberate us
Transportation is something that has a big influence on people’s lives . Especially cars that offer the best comfort for humans . There is always a need to go somewhere: to school, work or just for a journey and it is always good to reach a destination as soon as possible. Of course , the importance of the car depends on the person ’s residence, whether the person lives in a city or in the countryside , the needs are different . In my opinion, cars enslave people because once a person gets behind the wheel , there is no way out of this comfort.
To begin with, car requires a many expenditure, starting from purchasing a car and ending with technical controls, supplying of fuel and so on. It can be said that the material side of the car sustenance is difficult. A person must have a stable income to afford a car. Moreover , it is expensive to get a driver ’s license. It can be said that owning a car is an expensive pleasure.
Secondly, driving a car can be compared to addiction – as Matthew Perry once said:“ I think we need to educate doctors about our addiction.“ Initially, people may not notice it, but over time it becomes clear that people cannot pass even the smaller distances without car. For instance , there are people who drive to the gym to do a workout there even if the distance is small. Nonetheless, it is good to have a car if it is necessary to save time.
Thirdly, due to technical development, people always have a need to follow latest trends . There is always a demand for something new and better. New solutions involve situations, where the drivers first car purchase is also not the last. In turn, there will come new spendings on new cars and car services , so the transport would be more powerful and comfortable. Of course, not all people can afford it to themselves, however , the prices of such services are always rising.
In contrast , car offers the freedom to people, because it allows driver to make their own decisions when and where to drive. A person does not have to depend on someone or something and stock up more time to reach the destination. The driver is responsible for its own driving machine, so it would be clean and comfortable.
Taking these point into consideration, I would say that cars enslave people. It can be considered as vicious circle that begins with the fact that a person must have a stable job and salary and ending with the need to service a vehicle . Once a person is used to the comfort, it is very complicated and difficult to get rid of it.

either from Britain or France. It was especially a poignant time for Africa, as then British Prime Minister Harold McMillan articulated his now famous “winds of change” sweeping Africa. We had high hopes for Africa, for the Black race, that the insidious imposition of foreign rule on us, the looting of Africa’s natural resources by our colonial masters accorded us would be things of history. That is more than forty years ago. Unfortunately, the promise of independence has not been fulfilled. Today, Africa has become more desolate; there is more starvation, diseases and non-provision of essential services than when we got our independence. There are all kinds of wars in Africa than the rest of world put together. The majority of so-called Africans leaders want to stay in power until the day their bodies are put in the grave

So, the British ports are ice-free and its rivers are not frozen throughout the year. The weather on the British Isles has a bad reputation. It is very changeable and fickle. The British say that there is a climate in other countries, but we have just weather. If you don't like the weather in England, just wait a few minutes. It rains very often in all seasons in Great Britain. Autumn and winter are the wettest. The sky is usually grey and cold winds blow. On the average, Britain has more than 200 rainy days a year. The English say that they have 3 variants of weather: when it rains in the morning, when it rains in the afternoon, and when it rains all day long. Sometimes it rains so heavily, that they say «It's raining cats and dogs». Britain is known all over the world for its fogs. Sometimes fogs are so thick that it's impossible to see anything within a few meters. The winter fogs of London are, indeed, awful; they surpass all imagination

CHANGE YOUR THINKING CHANGE YOUR LIFE

I felt trapped between big ideas on the one hand and limited resources and opportunities on the other. Then I discovered a series of re- markable principles that have been responsible for all the great suc- cesses and achievements of the ages, and my life changed forever. After proving these laws and principles in my own life, I began speaking, and training others to apply the same ideas. Since then, I have given more than two thousand talks and seminars as long as four days in length, in 24 countries, to a total of more than two mil- lion participants. Most of them were also skeptical when they first heard these ideas of optimism and possibility, until they learned what you are going to learn in the pages ahead. It changed their lives, as it will change yours. ■ THE GREAT PRINCIPLE Perhaps the most important mental and spiritual principle ever dis-
