) There are two stages: · 1st through 4th grade, being taught by one teacher per class that teaches every subject with the exception of foreign languages and Religion. The students stay in one classroom for the 4 years. · 5th through 8th grades, where different teachers teach different subjects. The students no longer have one classroom, but rather move around the school to get to their classes. People who have completed only primary education are classified as "unqualified workers". Secondary education Secondary schools in Croatia are subdivided into: · Gymnasiums: · prirodoslovno-matematicka gimnazija (specializing in math, informatics and science) · jezicna gimnazija (with a focus on foreign languages and with less science) · klasicna gimnazija (with a curriculum centered around classics, namely Latin and Ancient Greek)
Gymnasia are harder to get into than vocational or art schools and are generally harder to complete. • Vocational schools: that teach a student a certain craft, such as cooking or carpentry, and last either three or four years. Schools of economics and engineering go under this category too. • Art schools: that focus on visual art, music and similar. They take four years. People who completed secondary school are classified as "medium expertise“. 6 Higher education Students can enroll into two basic kinds of higher education: • Polytechnic schools (veleučilište), higher level education. • Universities (sveučilište), highest level education. The levels of expertise are: • Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts (prvostupnik) • Master of Science and Master of Arts (magistar) • Master of Education (magistar edukacije)

Weather in England Britain is an island country and the surrounding sea gives England a varied climate. The main influence on climate is close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, that's why the climate of England is classified as oceanic climate , with warm summers, cool winters and much rain throughout the year. As Britain have such a variable climate changing from day to day, it is difficult to know what weather will be on next day. In general there are warm summers and cool winters. Summers are cooler than those on the continent, but the winters are colder. Eastern parts are drier, cooler and less windy. Northern areas are generally cooler, wetter and have a
laugh and think. It was first published in 1813 and since then it has been truly loved novel for younger and older people. As well as that, the critics liked it too. So it's not only publics favourite but also smarter people love it. I think that the main reason so many like it, is because it's unpredictable and understable. In addition it's not very difficult to read. But I had to read the novel from laptop and that made my eyes hurt, so that really didn't work for me. Novel has been classified as a classic love story. That is one big reason why I loved this book. I love those classic love stories, that are just so good and make me think along. I haven't seen the movie, so that gave me free hands to imagine the story like I would like. It's not only me who can imagine the people and places in my mind, I think that's the reason too why so many like that novel. And the characters are also very different and surprising.
niche, with many body characteristics adapted for cold temperatures, for moving across snow, ice, and open water, and for hunting the seals which make up most of its diet. Although most polar bears are born on land, they spend most of their time at sea. Their scientific name means "maritime bear, and derives from this fact. Polar bears can hunt their preferred food of seals from the edge of sea ice, often living off fat reserves when no sea ice is present. The polar bear is classified as a vulnerable species, with eight of the nineteen polar bear subpopulations in decline.[6] For decades, large scale hunting raised international concern for the future of the species but populations rebounded after controls and quotas began to take effect.[citation needed] For thousands of years, the polar bear has been a key figure in the material, spiritual, and cultural life of Arctic indigenous peoples, and polar bears remain important in their cultures.
Rare animals Rare Chinese tiger seen in the wild Researchers have confirmed that a wild tiger, photographed by a farmer in the Qinba Mountains of Shaanxi Province, Central China, is indeed that of the critically endangered South China tiger. The South China tiger classified as one of only five subspecies of tiger still alive today is extremely rare, with only an estimated 20 to 30 still remaining in the wild. The wildlife and conservation group WWF says the South China tiger is actually native to the Hainan most forests of south-east China, and because there are so few individuals left, it is regarded by many scientists as being "functionally extinct" in the wild. But a group called Save China's Tigers has been working on a captive-

In 2010, about 65 billion kilowatt-hours were used, equal to about 1.7% of total U.S. electricity consumption. Only about 1% of the total U.S. petroleum consumed in 2010 was used to generate electricity. Biopolymers are polymers produced by living organisms; in other words, they are polymeric biomolecules. Since they are polymers, biopolymers contain monomeric units that are covalently bonded to form larger structures. There are three main classes of biopolymers, classified according to the monomeric units used and the structure of the biopolymer formed: 1. polynucleotides (RNA and DNA), which are long polymers composed of 13 or more nucleotide monomers; 2. polypeptides, which are short polymers of amino acids; and 3. polysaccharides, which are often linear bonded polymeric carbohydrate structures Polymers are everywhere The way plastics are made is actually a way of imitating nature, which has created a huge number of polymers.

specific type of sound Vowel and Consonant The difference between vowel and consonant is: in the way they are produced (phonetics) in their distribution, i.e. the different contexts and positions in which particular sounds can occur (phonology) NB! Vowels can stand alone they can be produced without consonants before or after them. Consonants require at least a "little bit" of vowel sound. Vowels are classified according to their phonetical quality: how high is the tongue what part of the tongue is involved the position of the lips Tongue height can be varied from close to open: the tongue can be high in the mouth it is close to the palate (close) the tongue can be mid in the mouth mid, but closer to the palate (close- mid)/ mid, but lower from the palate (open-mid) the tongue can be low in the mouth it is low from the palate (open)

• The Chernobyl disaster was a catastrophic nuclear accident that occurred on 26 April 1986 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine (then officially the Ukrainian SSR). An explosion and fire released large quantities of radioactive particles into the atmosphere, which spread over much of the western USSR and Europe. • The Chernobyl disaster was the worst nuclear power plant accident in history in terms of cost and casualties, and is one of only two classified as a level 7 event (the maximum classification) on the International Nuclear Event Scale (the other being the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster in 2011). • The battle to contain the contamination and avert a greater catastrophe ultimately involved over 500,000 workers and cost an estimated 18 billion rubles (18 billion $USD) . During the accident itself, 31 people died, and long-term effects such as cancers and deformities are still being accounted for.

with 2500 km long followed by South Australia with 2100 km The New South Wales fence covers 580 km. The Fence goes over sand dunes, past salt lakes, up and down hills, across plains. It stays away from towns. Where it passes near Cooper Pedy in South Australia, it’s actually a tourist attraction, visited on bus tour. People go and touch it. Children like to climb it. The fence marks the dividing line between cattle (outside) and sheep (inside). Inside is where dingoes, legally classified as vermin, are shot, poisoned and trapped. Sheep and dingoes do not mix. Stations that once sheared 100.000 sheep suffered so many kills that their owners switched to cattle. Others fought back with massive poisoning campaigns and shooting drives. Stations reported annual kills of hundreds of dogs. Day after day people, singly or in pairs travel at the fence filling their days by patrolling at the fence. They fill in the holes, set the traps, replace post, close the gates, and shoot dingoes
Forestry and the Forest Industry in Japan Today I'm going to do a presentation about a book called ,,Forestry and the Forest Industry in Japan", edited by Yoshiya Iwai. --------------------- Participants in private forestry are classified into six categories: forestry households; companies; shrines and temples; joint holdings; various groups and cooperatives; and habitual joint holdings. Except for shrines and temples, these groups manage forests to produce income. In general, these forests are not very large: the average forest area per establishment was 3.7 ha in 1990. Groups operating forests of less than 100 ha control 67% of the total area. Hence forests are not necessarily owned by a few large concerns
Trees of these forests include woody vines, orchid and many others like. Human uses of monsoon/seasonal forests: o Habitation Some people live in those areas (for example in India). o Cultivation A lot of territories of those forests have been cleared in order to cultivate crops there. It is a serious threat to those forests. Plantations Plantation can also be classified as type of forest. Plantation is actually a large farm, piece of land or estate that is use for cultivation. Plantation is usually adopted in tropical and subtropical regions. In these farms and lands cultivation of different crops is done on a large scale for international or distant markets rather than for local or domestic consumption. These crops include rubber seeds, oil seeds, sugar cane, cotton, tobacco, coffee and sisal. Plantation done for industrial purpose is called forestry.

Terrorism is classified into six categories: civil disorder, political terrorism, non- political terrorism, quasi-terrorism, limited politival terrorist, official or state terrorism. These categories are further divided into different types. For example, Germany's bombing of London and the U.S. atomic destruction of Hiroshima during World War II are called state terrorism. Currently, Beijing and the Government of Tibet in Exile disagree over when Tibet became a part of China, and whether the incorporation into China of Tibet is legitimate according to international law. Since what constitutes Tibet is a matter of much debate neither its size nor population are simple matters of fact, due to various entities claiming differing parts of the area as a Tibetan region. Tibet's names has been: Bautai, Bod. The Tibetan language is generally classified as a Tibeto-Burman language of the Sino- Tibetan language family although the boundaries between 'Tibetan' and certain other Himalayan languages can be unclear. Geography Traditionally, Western (European and American) sources have regarded Tibet as part of Central Asia; today's maps show a trend toward considering all of modern China, including Tibet, to be part of East Asia. Some academic institutions also include Tibet in their South Asia studies programs

If this vibration is felt toward the front of the cavity, say in the area of the alveolar ridge, the vowel is described as a front vowel. If the vibration is felt toward the back of the cavity, say in the area of the velum, the vowel is described as a back vowel. This distinction can be appreciated by successively articulating "ho-ho,

The financial cost of the war was more than £4.55 billion ($9 billion) to the U.K., and over $845 billion to the U.S., the total cost to the U.S. economy estimated at $3 trillion. Conduction The information about this theme was comparatively easy to find, especially thanks to the recently publicised documents about the Iraq War by the Wikileaks. Before that the Iraq War was one of the most classified event in the U.S history with over 300000 classified documents. I got a lot of help from the newspapers articles as well, where I could found a lot of speeches from the directive people of the United States. The relationships between the United States and Iraq have been quite colourful and unconstant over the decades. Despite the 1980s, when the U.S supported Iraq both militarily and financially, the relations have been mostly unstable. In my opinion the USA itself caused the danger
MIINA HÄRMA GYMNASIUM Deserts Saudi-Arabia Tartu 2007 Deserts In geography, a desert is a landscape form or region that receives very little precipitation. Generally, deserts are defined as areas that receive an average annual precipitation of less than 250 mm (10 inches). Deserts cover at least one-fourth of the Earth's land surface. Desert biomes can be classified according to several characteristics. There are four major types of deserts: · Hot and dry · Semiarid · Coastal · Cold Location The four major North American deserts of hot and dry deserts are the Chihuahuan, Sonoran, Mojave and Great Basin. Others outside the U.S. include the Southern Asian realm, Neotropical (South and Central America), Ethiopian (Africa) and Australian.
Most important influence was the image of the place. Since we were planning to travel in Christmas time then what else can be more perfect than the home city of Santa himself? Also the image of that destination can be seen as a "pull factor". Our personal characteristics fitted with this place as well. We could be classified as allocentric travellers or in more simple way the explorers according to Cohen´s classification of tourists (Cooper & Gilbert, 2008, p. 51). Therefore after doing our research about the place and finding out all the different adventurous options there, we had made up our mind. And I believe that our choice to travel by car is another example of being the explorer (The

different visual and thematic features. There are macro features (genre, narrative) as well as micro features (mise en scene, cinematography) and they are linked together in many ways. I have chosen to analyse the closing sequence of ``The Black Dahlia``, directed by Brian de Palma, and I will focus on macro features in this essay. Brian de Palma is well known director, who is focused on noir area through his career (he was once considered as a Hitchcock imitator) ``The Black Dahlia" can be classified as Film Noir. The genre is called Film Noir due to the `serie noir` books, which were publised in France (bethween 1940s and 1950s). These books were translations of American novels by authors like Dashiel Hammet, Raimond Chandler and James M. Cain. The novels usually talked about a strong, violent hero (anti-hero?) who moves through a corrupt dangerous world. ``The Black Dahlia`` is based on a novel by James Ellroy and not on a true Black Dahlia (murder) case
Langdon is certain that when Leonardo presided over the Priory of Sion, he knew of the Grail's whereabouts. Langdon thinks the Grail probably hasn't been moved since then. Many historians study Leonardo's work closely in the hopes of discovering the secret of the Holy Grail's hiding place. Sophie wonders if the key is to the Grail itself, but Langdon thinks it unlikely that Sophie's grandfather was so high up in the hierarchy of the Priory of Sion that he had access such classified information. They finally reach the address on the back of the key. It is the Depository Bank of Zurich, a Swiss bank. Sophie and Langdon use the key to get through the elaborate security measures--gates, metal doors, and so on. They arrive at the front Office. The guard recognizes the pair from the news and calls Interpol and the bank's president, Monsieur Vernet. To get access to the box they need an account number.

multiple segments including fabric background and pills. This process is usually, in its turn, aimed at determining parameters such as the number and the density of pills and/or the area occupied by the pills on the fabric surface. Once this task is performed, pilling grade is obtained as a parameter inferred from the number of pills, or by comparing the pilled fabric with a reference fabric (either with or without pills). As a matter of fact, almost all methods classified in this category use, at some point, an image binarization by applying one or more thresholds and, possibly, morphological operations on images. In Figure 4 an exemplificative flow diagram characterizing this category of methodologies is shown. An early work dealing with image segmentation was carried out by Konda et al. in 1990 [7]; images of fabric samples, pilled using Martindale equipment, were acquired using a commercial camera
In the national popular vote Kennedy led Nixon by just two-tenths of one percent (49.7% to 49.5%), while in the Electoral College he won 303 votes to Nixon's 219 (269 were needed to win). Another 14 electors from Mississippi and Alabama refused to support Kennedy because of his support for the civil rights movement; they voted for Senator Harry F. Byrd, Sr. of Virginia. Vietnam The extent of Kennedy's involvement in Vietnam remained classified until the release of the Pentagon Papers in 1971.In Southeast Asia, Kennedy followed Eisenhower's lead by using limited military action as early as 1961 to fight the Communist forces led by Ho Chi Minh. Proclaiming a fight against the spread of Communism, Kennedy enacted policies providing political, economic, and military support for the unstable French-installed South Vietnamese government, which included sending 16,000 military advisors and U.S. Special Forces to the area. before! Before you know it, charities begin calling for donations. Now, you have to worry about friends, family, and charities wanting your money, and you feel completely torn about who you should help. Worrying about this keeps you up at night, you cannot sleep or eat without worrying about your situation. You are completely stressed out by the changes in your life and the strains being put on you. The stress has completely consumed you. This would be classified as or ‘distress.’ Now, consider someone else who has won the lottery. He becomes motivated by the idea of managing millions of dollars, and creating a life he has always dreamed of. He invests his money wisely, and hires someone to help him manage his funds. He starts the business he has always dreamed of, and goes to sleep

IARC's overall evaluation is that formaldehyde is probably carcinogenic to humans (Group 2A). Later IARC classified formaldehyde as human carcinogen. Evaluating Pesticides for Carcinogenic Agency classified formaldehyde in Group B1 - probable human carcinogen, under conditions of unusually high or prolonged exposure. Labrador is the easternmost part of the Canadian Shield, a vast area of ancient metamorphic rock comprising much of northeastern North America. The Long Range Mountains on Newfoundland's west coast are the northeasternmost extension of the Appalachian Mountains. The north-south extent of the province (46°36'N to 60°22'N), prevalent westerly winds, cold ocean currents and local factors such as mountains and coastline combine to create the various climates of the province. Northern Labrador is classified as a polar tundra climate, southern Labrador is considered to be a subarctic climate while most of Newfoundland would be considered to have a humid continental climate. Agriculture Agriculture in Newfoundland is limited to areas south of St. John's, near Deer Lake and in the Codroy Valley. Potatoes, rutabagas, known locally as "turnips", carrots and cabbage are grown for local consumption. Poultry, eggs are also produced. Wild blueberries, partridgeberries
