He first wrote the short story "Ender's Game" while working at the BYU press. Ender's Game and its sequel Speaker for the Dead were both awarded the Hugo Award and the Nebula Award, making Card the only author (as of 2008) to win both of science fiction's top prizes in consecutive years. Card continued the series with seven books, which divide into "Shadow" and "Speaker" series. He has also announced his plan to write two more novels: Shadows in Flight, a book that connects the "Shadow" series and "Speaker" series together, and Ender in Exile, a book that takes place after Ender's game and before Speaker for the Dead. Furthermore, Card recently announced that Ender's Game will soon be made into a movie. William's greatest wish was to give his children best education in his power. While they were still young, he began to teach them to read and write. Her entire emotional struggle involves resisting the notion that she has become a "bad, despicable creature." Her not crossing over to using ty with Gurov suggests her need to maintain some distance between herself and him, thereby preserving a degree of self-respect. Th roughout their conversation in this passage, even when Gurov treats her with gentleness and compassion -- the kind that he might off er a pet dog -- Anna addresses him only as vy. Th e interplay of the two pronouns here clearly reveals a degree of tension and distance between the two characters that is entirely missing in English translations.

Dante Alighieri, one of the greatest poets of the Middle Ages, was born in Florence, Italy on June 5, 1265. He was born to a middle-class Florentine family. At an early age he began to write poetry and became fascinated with lyrics. During his adolescence, Dante fell in love with a beautiful girl named Beatrice Portinari. He saw her only twice but she provided much inspiration for his literary masterpieces. Her death at a young age left him grief-stricken. His first book, La Vita Nuova, was written about her. Sometime before 1294, Dante married Gemma Donati. They had four children. Dante was active in the political and military life of Florence. He entered the army as a youth and held several important positions in the Florence government during the 1290's. During his life, Florence was divided politically between Guelphs and Ghibellines.
