After that, Tony radioed for help. They threw the life raft into the water and jumped into it. The boat was sinking slowly. The three men heard the sound of a boat that was quite close to them. A minute later they found themselves in the middle of the storm. Huge waves were crashing and the boat was rocking from side to side as thunder rolled across the sky. They were extremely scared. They understanded that they were in huge danger, so Tony radioed for help. Just then a bolt of lightning struck the boat and the mast burst into flames. Tony said ,,We can't save the boat, but we can save our lives". They jumped into the water and swam to the life raft. As they climbed into the life raft they saw the boat sink slowly.

I swallowed the lump in my throat and run. The storm was so intense, it made hurricane Irma look like a sneeze. Das aus drei Gründen: erstens hatten wir das im Seminar ziemlich am Ende des Kurses behandelt und ich kann mich daran noch gut erinnern. Zweitens liegt Theodor Storm mir irgendwie nah am Herzen, weil ich sein Geburtshaus in Husum erst vor einem Jahr besucht habe. Film is directed by Roland Emmerich who has also directed the film Independence Day. This film talks about global catastrophe, where second ice age is coming with a huge storm before it. A climatologist Jack Hall's researches show that his fears are coming true. He must go to the White House to warn everybody, but in addition he must reach to New York to save his son who is draped in a library by storm. On the plus side the movie is visually stunning. Special effects are great and there is plenty of action to keep you in front of the screen. On the other hand some people may not like how far all this climate changing has taken and find this all too exaggerated.

PLENTY in reserve. Plenty means that a usual catch is about 3 tons of sprats. Of course you'll get sick of fish, when breakfast, supper and dinner all are mere fish. But still, it's an advantage. In my opinion, the biggest advantage of being a fisherman is that you can travel a lot. My grandpa was a fisherman and he has been to North America, Africa, Siberia (not with the train) and Iran and most European countries. So he has got many stories to tell from buying a monkey to the storm in the middle of Atlantic. If you are a fisher you surely will have a spectacular life. I guess they get paid quite well too, mostly depending on luck. Sometimes happens that you are said to catch sprat but you get herring and the other way. Being a fisher means that you can't see your family too often, you can get seasick, what's really bad, because imagine that you are travelling across the Atlantic and you puke after each meal.

It grips from the introductory paragraph and keeps you clinging on like the characters battling the storm that lies at the centre of this tale. I highly recommend The Sirius Crossing if you like deeply character driven espionage tales.
