Capital punishment - inglise keel

Capital punishment Capital punishment is the killing of a person by judicial process as a punishment for an great offence. It has been used in almost every part of the globe. There is an international organisation called Amnesty International who are fighting for human rights. Thanks for them there are many countries who abolished it. But is it right or should capital punishment exist? Firstly I belive capital punishment should exist because if you gonna take somebody's life it is only fair when you pay for this with your own life. Many people are thinking how cruel it is for a criminal but we should also think of the families that are broken apart because of the merciless acts of these criminals.

English as a Global Language

INTRODUCTION Today more and more disputes are caused by the enormous spread of the English language throughout the world. Some scholars claim that it has already become the first global language. And this statement isn't far from truth. But what does it mean to say that a language is a global language? Why is English the language which is usually cited in this connection? How did the situation arise? And could it change? Or is it the case that, once a language becomes a global language, it is there for ever? [1, pg.2] These are fascinating questions to explore, whether your first language is English or not. A global language is a language that is spoken internationally and is learned and spoken by a large number of people as a second language. A global language is characterized not only by the total number of speakers (native and second language speakers), but also by

Essay on water pollution, global warming, acid rain, deforestation, intensive farming

It is hard to know now what our oceans will look like in the future. Just how damaged they will be by pollution is uncertain. Acid rain The term acid rain refers to what scientists call acid deposition. It is caused by airborne acidic pollutants and has highly destructive results. Scientists first discovered acid rain in 1852, when the English chemist Robert Agnus invented the term. From then until now, acid rain has been an issue of intense debate among scientists and policy makers. Acid rain, one of the most important environmental problems of all, cannot be seen. The invisible gases that cause acid rain usually come from automobiles or coal-burning power plants. Acid rain moves easily, affecting locations far beyond those that let out the pollution. As a result, this global pollution issue causes great debates between countries that fight over polluting each other's environments.

Edward's reign was marked by peace and prosperity. He married Edith, daughter of Earl Godwin of Wessex, but they were childless. It was during the reign of Edward that some features of the English monarchy familiar today were introduced. Edward is regarded as responsible for introducing the royal seal and coronation regalia. *Harold Godwinson was the last Anglo-Saxon King of England before the Norman Conquest. Harold was a strong political and military leader in his own right. Edward the Confessor, the old king evidently chose Harold on his deathbed to succeed him. Harold's reign was short and turbulent. He prepared for an invasion by William, but was sidetracked by an attack by the King of Norway. After defeating the invaders at, Harold took his army south to meet William and, after a long and fierce battle, died at Hastings along with two of his brothers.

ESTONIAN SYMPHONIC MUSIC. THE FIRST CENTURY 1896-1996.

What do I mean by this term? For example, one can speak of the symphonism of Eduard Tubin, Artur Kapp and Arvo Pärt. In its best and exact sense symphonism means the creation of a sublime philosophical idea in music in an intense extensive and developing form. Symphonism is a way of thinking through the medium of music and therefore perhaps the most prefect way in its singularity. Only an artist whose inner world is rich in thought and perception and who is endowed with a strong faculty of logical thinking and powerful fantasy, can develop into a symphonist. In symphonism both the dynamics of inner and outer world conflicts, collisions and dialectics springing from the synthesis of opposing forces are revealed. Due to these qualities symphonism becomes apparent in opera, oratorio, concerto and chamber music. However, the broadest opportunities for the method are pronounced in orchestral music.

According to the 2001 national census, Ibiza had 93,000 inhabitants (against 76,000 in 1991, 64,000 in 1981, 45,000 in 1971, and 38,000 in 1961). However, two years later, this figure jumped to 108,000 (Govern de les Illes Balears - IBAE 2004). This discrepancy stems from the amnesty which incorporated a number of unregistered foreign migrants. In terms of origin, about 55 per cent of island residents were born in Ibiza, 35 per cent are immigrants from mainland Spain (mostly working-class families from Andalusia, and the remainder from Catalonia, Valencia and Castilla), and the about remaining 10 to 15 per cent are foreign, dual and multi-national citizens of the EU and abroad (Govern de les Illes Balears - IBAE 1996)

Public International Law is a system of law

but due to its unique status (covered by Geneva conventions etc), then it is a subject of PIL. PIL directly regulates private persons, e.g. punishment of international crimes (crimes against peace=crime of aggression, genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes). This is if specific countries do not want to punish the criminals, specific international tribunals etc are created to do the job for them. Humanitarian doctrine if a certain country violates human rights very severely and if other attempts have failed to prevent and stop this, then war can be used as a method to stop this stuff. Süüria chemical weapons doctrine is one of the strongest doctrine ever, respected by almost everyone, that's why people are so shocked about the events there. It's a grave violation of PIL. If there's enough evidence that chemical weapons were used, then war is basically a legal method, but

According to Article 13 TFEU dogs do belong to a “goods” category so as it is described in CJEU case law that a good is a product which can be valued in money and which is capable of forming the subject of commercial transactions. Therefore PB&R company and its business is selling dogs, or shall I say goods not just on a local fields, but the movement of goods is linked to abroad EU countries by making a profit of it I shall conclude that it involves a “movement of goods within the EU Member States” (Articles 26 and 37). 2

American Literature

Republicanism: The doctrine of republicanism asserts a system of a government that is elected by the people of the nation. The roots of this ideology go back to ancient Greece, when the concept of a democratic government was examined by philosophers such as Plato and Aristotle. Individual Liberty: "Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness" developed as the motto of this era, which forms the cornerstone of the U.S. Constitution today. Since the colonies had very few individual rights, they declared certain fundamental rights that they deemed "inalienable." Democracy: The colonies had no say in the formation of the government, and had no representation in the lawmaking process. Consequently, they were attracted to the idea of democracy, where the government is "of the people, by the people, for the people," as Lincoln later expressed in his Gettysburg Address. Religious Tolerance: Much impetus for the ideas of religious tolerance came from the rule of King

pen. We instead have insatiable brains, with mental appetites. So our goal is to balance the brainwork with hearts and smiles. "Facts served with sauce." Where does common sense fit on? Is it teachable? To a degree, what we mean by common sense is simply learned experience. Something more exists, though. Those who we praise for common sense may be quick-witted, steady-nerved, and efficient at practical decision-making. It is likely some of those traits depend on genetic brain makeup. In any case, for purposes of an essay on education, I propose to say no more about common sense. Similarly, where do concentration, reflection, analysis and criticism enter? Are they best taught individually, or learned wholly as byproducts of studying mathematics, geography, history, etc? It is obvious that such skills are more valuable than any single subject which might be used as the vehicle to develop them. Inequality

chemical products (including fertilizers; plastics and rubber); agricultural products and food (mainly grains, cereals; food processing and packaging). As seen from the list above, Ukrainian economy is strongly dependent on various commodities and as result of price fluctuations of those commodities. Perhaps, the only commodity group, which is in long-run rather immune (not 100% though) to cyclical changes are agricultural products. Taking into account growing population worldwide and gradual income growth, particularly in food importing Asia and Africa, it's rather safe assumption that demand and prices for agricultural products will continue upwards trend. Ukraine with Europe's best and largest areas for agriculture is very well positioned to benefit from the World's growing demand for food. Other commodities exported by Ukraine (such as steel, coal, chemicals etc) are and will continue to be affected by cycles of the global economy there will be periods of growing
