ABBA
ABBA was a pop music group  formed  in Sweden  in 1972, consisting of Anni- Frid  
Lyngstad, Björn  Ulvaeus ,  Benny  Andersson and  Agnetha  Fältskog
They became one of the most commercially successful acts in the history of popular 
music, and they topped the charts  worldwide  from 1972 to 1982.

ABBA have sold  nearly 370 million records worldwide, making them the second 
best - selling   band in history and the second best-selling pop  artists in history and 
they  still sell two to three million records a year .

ABBA  success started in 1974 when they won The Eurovision  Song Contest in 
Brighton with a song called Waterloo

Agnetha Fältskog(born 5 April 1950) is a  Swedish recording artist and composer 
She has aerophobia*
It was very difficult for her to travel
Fältskog wrote her first  song aged only six, which was named "Två små troll " (Two 
Little  Trolls). 
In 1958, she started taking piano  lessons
Fältskog worked as a telephonist for a car firm
Agnetha sold 1.2 million records of her first  solo album after ABBA.

In the 1980s, Fältskog released three  English - language solo albums. 
In April 2004, she released a new  single , "If I Thought You'd Ever Change  Your 
Mind“
On 4 July  2008 Agnetha joined with  others at the Swedish premiere of the film  
version of Mamma Mia!,in  Stockholm . This was the first time after 22 years when 
they all were in the same  picture. 
Now she lives on the island of Ekerö with her daughter Linda

Björn Ulvaeus(born 25 April 1945) is a Swedish musician, composer and co-
composer of the musicals  Chess , Kristina från Duvemåla, and Mamma Mia!. 
During the last years Björn Ulvaeus has stepped forward as a frontline critic against 
the free file  sharing of copyrighted material  on the internet . 
He has recently coproduced the  film  “Mamma Mia!” with close- friend  Benny 
Andersson

 Björn was a  member  of the Swedish folk band Hootenanny Singers who had an 
enormous following in Scandinavia.
On 6 July  1971 , Björn married  Agnetha; 
The marriage  resulted in two children : Linda Elin Ulvaeus (born 23 February 
1973), and Peter Christian Ulvaeus (born 4 December 1977).
Together with Andersson, Ulvaeus was nominated in the category  "Outstanding 
Music" (for the musical  Chess), and a category "Best Orchestrations" (for musical 
Mamma Mia!).

Benny Andersson (16 December 1946) is a Swedish musician, composer and co-
composer of the musicals Chess, Kristina från Duvemåla, and Mamma Mia!.
He is currently active with his own band Benny Anderssons  Orkester .(BAO!)
At the age of six, Benny got his own accordion.
When Andersson was ten he got his own piano, and taught himself to play. He left 
school aged 15 and began to perform at  youth clubs.

In 1964 Benny joined with 'Hep Stars ' as keyboardist and suddenly he knew that this 
was what he  wanted  to do.
 Andersson met Björn Ulvaeus in  June  1966, and the two started writing  songs  
together.
During the song writing he met Anni-Frid and around  the same time Bjorn met 
Agnetha.
Their first musical project  was the Chess with vocals by Elaine Paige  and Barbara  
Dickson.

Princess Anni-Frid  Reuss of Plauen (born Anni-Frid Lyngstad,1945) is a 
Swedish  singer  
Anni-Frid was born in the  north of Norway
She showed musical talent  at an  early  age. On Fridays, she was often asked by her 
teacher to sing in front  of the class  and soon became known in school and in the 
neighborhood for her beautiful voice
At the age of 13, she got her first job as a  dance band singer in 1958, with The 
Evald Eks Orchestra

Her first album,  Frida , produced by her then-fiancé Benny, was released in 1971.
In 1992 Lyngstad married to Prince Heinrich Ruzzo
She is a  good friend of the Queen of Sweden(Queen Silvia ) 
 In 2005, she  stated  in an interview that she had no  interest  in a music career . She 
currently lives in Switzerland.
