Kaebekiri Letter of complaint - jeans

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to complain about the jeans which I ordered from your mail-order catalogue. I was not pleased when they arrived. To begin with, your advertisement stated that the jeans would be delivered promptly. However, they were delivered late. Secondly, you said that you were the only company in this country licensed to sell this brand, but in fact I have seen them in a local store. Though your advertisement claimed that the price was unbeatable, the ones in the local store were much cheaper. Although your advertisement claimed that the jeans were excellent quality, the zip was broken. The problems do not stop here

Mistake

During the first week I could almost keep my promise and spent the time I wanted to spend on revising, but after that I got very lazy and did not keep up with my revising at all. So time went by and I did not worry at all about the entrance exams until the day they were already there. The examination took place in room 204. It lasted for 3 hours and I spent every last second of it, because it proved to be very difficult. A month later I received a letter from the school. The letter stated that I hadn’t passed the exams and so I had to go into a high school which I also liked but was not particularly my dream school. From that mistake I learned that if I really want something I have to go for it and never give up. For if I will not, I will regret it for the rest of my life.

2-minute walk may counter the harms of sitting.

Lake City have conducted a survey in order to find out if only by walking two minutes every hour can you reduce the risk of premature death? The answer is yes, you can lower your risk of dying by one third by only taking a two minute break every hour to go for a walk. It doesn’t have to be outside or anything, you can do it even at your office. I think, that this survey is of much help to a lot of people who have to work sitting down. It is stated, that by walking only for two minutes in every hour you can live a lot healthier than by sitting down the entire day. I’m sure that every person who works seated should read this article in order to live a healthier life. I chose this article because I found it interesting. Now I know, that by taking as little as two minutes every hour to go for a walk I have a healthier life-style than the ones who choose to sit down for long periods of time every day.

brother, Ismene was just afraid of the king. Antigone, in the heat of the moment, took Ismene's frightened state as a sign of the lack of love on Ismene's part. On page 39, lines 550-558, Antigone accuses King Kreon that his decisions were contrary to what the Gods laid out. Antigone says in lines 551, and 554: "that Zeus was the one who had proclaimed;/. . . The laws they have made for men are well marked out." Antigone should have realized, as she stated, the laws they, the gods, have made for men are well marked out, and if she had allowed the gods to correct matters she would not have needed to confront the king. Her unfaithfulness toward the gods was very non-heroic. In modern society, we today act in the same manner as Antigone did toward her family. Our loyalties toward family members tend to be strong, but even so, we may take our anger out on the people we love

Hoe to write an argumentative essay?

An argumentative essay is a formal, impersonal piece of writing in which the writer is either expected to give a balanced consideration of a particular topic, or to state their own opinion clearly and then support it by giving reasons. An essay should begin with an introduction in which some background information is given about the problem that is going to be discussed. The angle from which the problem is going to be looked upon in the essay is also stated. In longer essays these are in different paragraphs, in shorter ones they can be in one paragraph. The body of the essay usually consists of several paragraphs, the number of which depends on the length of the essay. Each paragraph should begin with a topic sentence. The following sentences should enlarge on the theme, give examples, etc. If it is an essay discussing the advantages and disadvantages of something, the advantages should be grouped together and so should be the disadvantages

I've lived here for the past ten years. 2 • A habitual action in a period of time up to the present. I've been jogging every morning for the last month. Contrasts with Past Simple Past Simple is used with time expressions which refer to definite times. The time may be stated or understood. Compare: I've bought a new car. (indefinite) I bought a new car last week. (definite) I bought the car after all. (implied definite: the car we talked about) Choice between Past Simple and Present Perfect for recent events may depend on the mental attitude of the speaker. This in turn may depend on whether the speaker feels distant in time or place from the event. I've left my wallet in the car. I'm going back to get it.

annoyance. When Jane was at school, she was always losing things. Past Continuous is not used to describe general habitual actions, without the sense of criticism mentioned above. Past Simple is used for this meaning. When I lived in London, I walked through the park every day. 4 Used to & would Used to This often contrasts with the present. The contrast may be stated or understood. I used to go swimming a lot (but I don’t now). The negative form is either: I didn't use to or I used not to (rare for some speakers) The form I didn’t used to may also be found. This is usually considered incorrect, unless we consider used to as an unchanging semi-modal form. There is no present time reference possible. Would This is used to describe repeated actions, not states. It describes a habitual activity which was typical of a person.

John was born and raised in Pinner, Middlesex in a council house of his maternal grandparents, with whom his newlywed parents (Sheila Eileen (Harris) and Stanley Dwight) were living. Then they moved to a nearby semi-detached house. He was educated at Pinner Country Grammar School until the age of 15, before pursuing a career in the music industry. When John began to seriously consider a career in music, his father tried to steer him toward a more conventional career such as banking. He has stated that his wild stage costumes and performances were his way of letting go after such a restrictive childhood. Both of John's parents were musically inclined, his father having been a trumpet player with a semi-professional big band that played military dances. The Dwights were avid record buyers, exposing John to all the popular singers and musicians of the day. John remembers being immediately hooked on rock and roll

" A man named Jack Ass sued MTV for $10 million, claiming the series was plagiarizing his name. Jack Ass, formerly known as Bob Craft, changed his name in 1997 to raise awareness for drunk driving, after his brother and friend were killed in a vehicle accident. Ending In a 2001 interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Knoxville announced the show would end after its third season aired. He also stated discontent with MTV and the censors, who, from the start of season two, increasingly gave notes regarding what the show could and could not depict. When the third season ended in 2002, MTV (who owns the rights to the name "Jackass") contemplated keeping the show going with a new cast (even running a teaser for the show's return during the 2002 VMA Awards Show). Because of problems with MTV's standards and practices department as well as the sudden departure of Margera
