My Breakfast

My Breakfast It is not a secret to anybody nowadays that our meals influence our health as well as our mood. Breakfast remains essential to a healthy lifestyle; it replenishes person's supply of glucose and provides other essential nutrients to keep your energy levels up throughout the day. That's why I consider breakfast to be the most important meal in the day as it is the first our meal in the morning and it can put us in good spirits for the whole day. Now I shall tell you about my own breakfast. In the morning I usually have porridge or corn flakes. Sometimes I start my breakfast with a cereal which is not cooked, it is something dry, ready to be eaten or muesli some grain or porridge which is not cooked with dried fruit, nuts and so on. I also like eating eggs (cooked in different ways)

(Ivy, L. J., Why breakfast is the most...)

Meals and cooking

Meals and Cooking When we cook, we boil, roast, fry or stew our food. We boil eggs, meat, chicken, fish, milk, water and vegetables. We fry eggs, fish and vegetables. We stew fish, meat, vegetables or fruit. We roast meat or chicken. We put salt, sugar, pepper, vinegar and mustard into our food to make it salted, sweet, sour or simply tasty. Our food may taste good or bad or it may be tasteless. The usual meals in England are breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner or, in simpler houses, breakfast, dinner, tea and supper. For breakfast English people mostly have porridge or cornflakes with milk or cream and sugar, bacon and eggs, marmalade with buttered toast and tea or coffee. For a change they can have a boiled egg, cold ham, or fish. English people generally have lunch about one o'clock. At lunch time in a London restaurant one

A letter and an essay

Yours faithfully, Introduction This report looks at the dietary habits of twenty students in their final year at Freedonian Secondary School. The report is based on the students' responses to the questionnaire administered by the school's doctor. Meals The survey have revealed that the students do not have enough meals. Only eight of those questioned eat before school, and half of them have their midday meal at school. Worryingly, as few as four students have both breakfast and school lunch. Still more disturbing is the fact that an alarming proportion--approximately onethird--of the students have neither. Eating brown bread Interestingly enough, bread, a good source of fiber, enjoys popularity among young people. 75 per cent of the students surveyed eat three or more slices of brown bread per day, with only a quarter of respondents restricting themselves to one or two slices. Eating fat As regards fat consumption, the majority of the students eat margarine

I was even so busy that they called me three times each morning while I was having breakfast, and five times when I was trying to park my car. My charity day

My charity day If somebody has always had everything what he needs, then he does not think much about that how other people can make out with their lives and needs. That is why me and my friend Joan decided to devote one day to make other people happier. 42 I was waiting that day for months and when my clock alarm rang that morning I was so excited about what is going to happen. I woke up at 11 a.m, ate my breakfast and then went to shower. We decided to do the charity in Old Town, our destination was sell as much our clothes, what we do not need anymore, as we can. All the money, what we received, went to charity. 76 In the beginning we set up our clothes and then we started to waiting our first clients. They are not flexible because when something happens you can't read about it until the next day. You can read some newspapers on the Internet too. Newspapers still have their own magic. People are weary of looking in a box and it is very nice to buy newspapers, have a cup of coffee and a breakfast in the garden. Nobody is disturbing you. Everything is calm. It's like magic. 3 main kinds of newspaper: - - Broad sheets (a quality newspaper) - - very big pages, hardly any colour pages, not too much photos, more difficult language, it focuses on some topic more details and facts, longer articles, more tidy-looking, nearly about everything (policy, culture, money...) - - people who read it are businessmen, people with higher education,

Topic of Australia

It was painted famous by aborigines, who nowadays can earn good money by selling those paintings. An interesting genre is the Central Australian art, which uses a fixed set of symbols related to mythology and different shapes like lines, circles etc. The third most popular art genre is contemporary art: acrylic paintings, paintings with classic elements. 6 Food A vital part of a day is breakfast. There are two types of breakfast in Australia-the heavy breakfast (English breakfast) and the light breakfast. The heavy breakfast is eaten in the colder parts of Australia, while the lighter one is eaten in the warmer parts. No Australian could spend a weekend without barbeque or forget the heavenly taste of pavlova- a sweet cake with different fruits on top of it. Vegemite is the Australian national food.
