Education The education system is a little bit different in the UK than ours. For example they have go to school 2 years earlier than us. Primary school is for pupils aged 5-11. Though schooling is only compulsory from age 5 in the UK, children most commonly enter Reception Class aged 4 in the academic year in which they will reach their 5th birthday. When pupils are aged 7 they sit Key Stage 1 [SATs]. Key Stage 2 SATs are taken when pupils are aged 11. Secondary school is for pupils aged 11-16. 11-13 years old pupils study a broad range of 10–15 subjects. No public examinations are taken during this time. Traditionally, at the age of 14 students start a programme that lasts for 2 years and during which time they study up to 11 subjects of their choice. After this students take GCSE state examinations After 16 attending at school isn't compulsory but pupils can stay at school, go to college, or take up

chatting with friends. Talking on the Internet with friends is easy and fast way to communicate. In a chatroomyou can send pictures to your friends or doucments or make a video call. You can also play games and make a group conversation there. But actually it is not full of joy. In chatrooms there are sometimes older men who are trying to contact young girls. I saw a documentary about chatrooms lately and there were men who set up a date with under- aged girl, they recorded it and it was sent to police, because having more-than- friends-relationship with under- aged girl is against the law. Parents and schools should be teaching more about Internet safety nowadays to help kids understand about chatroom dangers. In my opinion second important danger is cheating money from innocent people behind their back. Internet chatrooms gain money by adding any kind of advertisements to their application.

Furthermore, he does not care about his health anymore. He starts to live more dangerous life and he is afraid of the picture of him. Dorian starts to drink and use opium to forget the bad memories. The picture frightens him the most he hides it away in a separate room and does not allow anyone to go there. He just tries to erase his memories and this picture from his life. He stabs the picture but since the picture had him soul, Dorian himself dies and when he is found he has finally aged and the portrait his about young Dorian Gray. In conclusion it can be said that beauty is not everything in this world. In my opinion Dorian acted wrong when he wanted to be forever beautiful because it was wrong to think that beauty runs the life there is more to life than good looks. Kristiine Lehes 12c

I am writing to you regarding the advertisement in “Yes! Student magazine”. I would like to apply for the position of Activities Organiser. I am an 18-year-old student from Tallinn, Estonia. This year I am finishing the high school and I am planning to go to Ireland for my university studies. I had previous experience in organising events for children while working in “Vesiroos”, a summer camp in Estonia in July and August 2014. My duties included arranging outdoor games for children aged 7-11. I am confident that I am suitable for the job because I am good at organising different leisure activities. Furthermore, I love working with children and I have plenty of ideas what to do in a summer camp. I would like to enquire about the work in the camp. Could you let me know how many people will take part in one group? Could you also inform me if I can eat for free or I have to pay for the food? I would like to know where exactly the summer camp will take place

In Estonia there's now a new custom: Valentine cards contest. Valentine's Day in Estonia is celebrated to remember good friends. Poems and jokes Be My Valentine A man walks into a post office one day and sees a middle-aged, balding man standing at the counter methodically placing "Love" stamps on bright pink envelopes with hearts all over them. When Basil questions Dorian about his wrong doings, he shows Basil the portrait, which is as hideous as Dorian's sins. Dorian blames Basil for everything and stabs Basil. In Deciding that only full confession will free him of his guilt. In a rage, he picks up the knife that killed Basil Hallward and stabs it into the painting. His servants wake up caused by a scream inside a locked room. The servants find Dorian's body, killed by being stabbed to the heart and suddenly aged, old and ugly. It is only by the rings on his hand that the corpse can be identified. Beside him, however, the portrait has turned back to its original form. I liked the book, because it was interesting, but very difficult to read because it had a lot of unfamiliar words.

Robert Burns Robert Burns was born in a small cottage in Alloway on 25 January 1759. By the time of his death, aged 37, on 21 July 1796, he had become Scotland's bestloved poet and, perhaps more importantly, the symbol of the regeneration of a nation. At Mount Oliphant, when he was 15, Robert wrote his first song, Handsome Nell, for his partner in the fields at harvest time, Nellie Kirkpatrick. Robert had to work as a flax dresser in Irvine to earn money for family but his real passion was poetry. At the age of 27 he had 3 children, two of them were twins.
Making Music report: More playing, but progression is limited and class remains an issue Article by Alex Stevens This article taks about the playing of instruments among the children of UK. Based on the learner-teacher surveys made in 1993, 1996 and 1996 the playing of music instruments among children has increased by 35% since 1999 a new study has found, although issues of access, progression and class remain. More children aged 5-14 say that the 'know how to play' an instrument than in 1999. This suggests that programmes such as Wilder Opportunities have had an effect on the breadth of music-making in the UK. However the aricle suggests that there are still barriers like financial opportunities – the cost of instruments and lessons, then of course the lack of parental support and students not being interested. Of children that had never played an
or unsolicited, can be extremely distracting to their peers who are indeed looking to educate themselves. This is a loss for both ends as unmotivated students get even more frustrated and the ones focused are forced to learn in a disruptive environment. In conclusion, there are pros and cons to both obligatory and optional class attendance but all things considered, it seems that the merits of selective attendance overweigh the alternative as college-aged students should be able keep themselves on the right path on their own. As the exceptions remain, problematic students should consider their options and contemplate, whether university is the right place for them. Triin Tammaru 12.d
“To Room Nineteen” “To room nineteen” is considered to be one of the best short stories by Doris Lessing. The book takes place in a mid-twentieth century in London suburb. It gives insight about women’s rights and London society on these days. Showes how the perfect lives as they seemed from outside, acctually weren’t that ideal on the inside. The book itself is about a middle-aged woman, Susan, whose life is spinning around her four children, ideal husband and lovely home. Everything seems to be just perfect. When the youngest child went off to school, the seeming peace in this family is soon gone. Susan didn’t find the sense of freedom that she expected. She started thinking about herself she lost in her marriege life and was filled with emotions that were not inherent to her.. As she discovered

high birth and death rates. Relatively short life expectancy, as well as low level of education and poor health care are also describe such kind of population age distribution model. Nigeria age dependency ratio Dependency ratio of population is a ratio of people who are generally not in the labor force (the dependents) to workforce of a country (the productive part of population). The dependent part includes the population under 15 years old and people aged 65 and over. The productive part of population accordingly consists of population between 15 and 64 years. This ratio shows the pressure on productive population produced by the dependent part of population. The total dependency ratio of population in Nigeria is 78.8 %. As we can see the dependent part of population is comparable to the working part. It means that each working person in Nigeria must provide goods for himself and cover expenditure on one child or aged person additionally
