kontserti retsensioon

Retsensioon Käisin Pärnus, Jõulujazzi festivali raames toimuval jõulukontserdil. Kontsert leidis aset 5.detsembril 2014.aastal kohvikus Fookus.

Class essaay. "Music is the universal language"

Class essay. Music is the Universal Language. Music is everywhere around us.. it is in the wind when it blows.. birds, who are loudly screaming now. The noise of cars.. the noise of humans, expecialli their laughing makes me a little happier everytime when I hear it. There're such beautiful voices. Sometimes we just must stand quiet in center on those voices, and catch their message. Music tells us stories wich were never known. Nowadays young people hear music on MP3. They're like in their own reality. Yes it's great to feel that, but a little bit strange, because when somebody wants to ask something at the bus stop, they can't hear anything. Thats sad. I listen to my iPod too, but sometimes it disturbes me, and then I want to hear the naturalmusic after hearing artificial music, which is just imitted that nature by humans.

The Amityville horror

Stanislav Stõkov 12A The Amityville Horror The Amityville Horror is a fightening remake of the 1979 horror classic. The film is directed by Andrew Douglas and the story takes place in a Long Island home in the `70s. The movie begins with a gruesome sight, where the entire family was brutally slaughtered by the father. He explained to the police that the voices in side his head made him do it. One year later a family of five was looking for a new place to live. They stumbled across that same building, where the mass murder had happened. Despite the tragedy they bought it because of the low price. Georg, the father of the family, even said that houses do not kill people. The Lutzs moved eagerly in and started to live their American Dream. But strange things began to take place, which happened more and more often

IS MEDIA DECEIVING AND PACIFYING THE POPULATION?

Large corporations are formed that try to control the entire industries making the people believe in diversity and independence of publications. So while many there have been many developments, the means of deception are still the same. Media is used to make people believe the benefits of some political views or products. The theories of Hitler, who stated that telling a big enough lie will make people believe it, are still valid. REFERENCES ,,Concentration" (1980). Many Voices, One World, Part IV, ch 4. After greeting each other they began to hunt for deers and reached a field of wild oats where they hid behind a rock because Hugh saw something moving in the oats. Suddenly William heard a shot and everything was covered in smoke. Hugh had pulled the trigger, but there was nothing in the field. After that William heard two extremely different voices: a scream like that of a wild animal and Morgan crying out as if in mortal agony. He gazed at Hugh and it seemed like his body was split into pieces. When he approached the body, his companion was dead. The jury can't believe that an invisible force could do something like that, so one juror asks: „From what asylum did you escape?“ The witness feels insulted by that comment and starts to leave. if you raise your voice, pound the lectern, or tell a story about real people and real events, the odds are that you'll turn heads back in your direction again. A good speaker communicates with the audience with his or her eyes. The first person to discover he didn't like the sound of his own voice was probably Thomas Edison. When he invented the first phonograph, he heard his own historic words, "Mary had a little lamb." Like most of us, Edison was probably disappointed because our voices sound different on a recording and we usually don't like the result. The reason is that our voices sound better inside our heads than they do when played back on recording machines. The two important lessons here are (1) Your voice probably doesn't sound as bad as you think it does, and (2) if you are troubled by the sound of your voice, there are simple ways to improve its quality. Nervousness is usually the reason why are voices are so affected in public speaking. There are

Being a centre of power also meant that the best master builders and architects of their time worked here. In the second decade of the last century the Estonians had, for the first time in their history, the opportunity to build up a state of their own. By that time, the image of Toompea as a centre of power was so deeply rooted in the people that the voices of those who considered it a stronghold of foreign landlords remained in a small minority. With the construction of the Riigikogu building within the walls of the castle, the Estonian seat of power was perpetuated on Toompea. Throughout the greater part of our independent statehood both the Estonian Parliament and the Government have worked here, but in summer 2000 the Government moved to the Stenbock House

She couldn't force herself to move. All her worst nightmares were becoming real. She started hearing all kinds of voices from the attic. All at once the barking dogs went mad; she heard a crazed laughter coming from the attic and a thump. That was the last thing Ella remembered when she woke up- she had fainted and now when she looked at the timepiece she noticed it was five o'clock. It was still dark outside and the house was silent. There was a noise she couldn't identify coming from the garden and then some footsteps and a weak knock on the door.

Sheep senses and social cognition

Sheep senses and social cognition Sheep generally are held in low regard as far as cognition and social skills are concerned. However there is now interesting evidence from studies of their behaviour and brain function that they have highly sophisticated social and emotional recognition skills using faces, voices and smell. They are able to recognize and remember many diferent sheep and humans for several years or more and appear to have some capacity for forming mental images of the faces of absent individuals. The precence of such social cognition abilities in this species means that we must pay careful attention to welfare factors such as the composition and stability of their social environment as well as the nature of our own interactions with them.

If you are from a culture where hand gestures are robust, you may wish to moderate them to conform to local practices. Soft voices are the norm. If you have a booming voice, you may wish to moderate it when conducting business with Estonians. Estonians do not always respond to what has been said, especially if they are uncomfortable with the subject or if they need more time to organize their thoughts. Although they are direct communicators, Estonians temper their directness in order to protect the feelings of all concerned. Other voices are currently provided by Adrien Beard (Token Black),[21] Vernon Chatman (Towelie),[20] and Jennifer Howell (Bebe Stevens). Music The show's original theme song was a musical score performed by the band Primus and sung by the band's lead singer Les Claypool. The original composition was originally slower but was sped up for the show.[28] An instrumental version of the original theme song is still often played during the show's closing credits

is speaking in this way? Is it the story’s hero, concerned to ignore the castrato con- cealed beneath the woman? Is it the man Balzac, endowed by his personal experience with a philosophy of Woman? Is it the author Balzac, professing certain “literary” ideas of femininity? Is it universal wisdom? or romantic psychology? It will always be impossible to know, for the good reason that all writing is itself this special voice, consisting of several indiscernible voices, and that literature is precisely the invention of this voice, to which we cannot assign a specific origin: literature is that neuter, that composite, that oblique into which every subject escapes, the trap where all identity is lost, beginning with the very identity of the body that writes. — Probably this has always been the case: once an action is recounted, for intransitive

That was necessary because he was the one who had to teach the next great commander , who will lead the third invasion. So he became Ender's enemy. Enemy because Rackham said that there is no better teacher than the enemy. For a long time he was Ender's only companion. Plot-Summary Every chapter, except the last one, starts with two people talking privately. They talk about Ender and how he's doing, improving and often they fear that he might become a monster because of them. One of the voices is always colonel Graff. And the other varies from chapter to chapter. In the beginning of the novel Ender is only six years old and he has been chosen to save the world from the third invasion of the buggers, an alien race, who almost wiped human race out of existence during the second invasion. In the first chapter Andrew (real name of Ender) is getting his monitor removed, which usually meant, that he wasn't suitable for the government program

Anna's not switching from vy to ty with Gurov is an obvious reminder to readers Greenberg unconscious After presenting these details, Chekhov subtly weaves in Gurov's mind an associative link between his daughter and Anna: 'As he went to bed he remembered that she had only recently left her boarding school, that she had been a schoolgirl like his own daughter' Every time the voices of his children doing their homework reached him in his study in the stillness of the evening, every time he heard a popular song or some music in a restaurant, every time the wind howled in the chimney -it all came back to him: their walks on the pier, early morning with the mist on the mountains, the Theodosia boat, and the kisses. (p. 273) The story is written in the form of a third-person narration, which allows Chekhov to move from the point of view of the narrator to

"Please eat it. Personally I couldn't tough a thing, certainly not what's been in the house when he was here. But it's all right for you. It'd be a favor to me if you'd eat it up. Then you can go on with your work again afterwards." There was a good deal of hesitating among the four policemen, but they were clearly hungry, and in the end they were persuaded to go into the kitchen and help themselves. The woman stayed where she was, listening to them speaking among themselves, their voices thick and sloppy because their mouths were full of meat. "Have some more, Charlie?" "No. Better not finish it." "She wants us to finish it. She said so. Be doing her a favor." "Okay then. Give me some more." "That's the hell of a big club the gut must've used to hit poor Patrick," one of them was saying. "The doc says his skull was smashed all to pieces just like from a sledgehammer." "That's why it ought to be easy to find." "Exactly what I say."

to oppose Soviet ideology, like Nobel Prize-winning novelist Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, who wrote about life in the gulag camps. The Khrushchev Thaw brought some fresh wind to literature and poetry became a mass cultural phenomenon. This "thaw" did not last long; in the 1970s, some of the most prominent authors were banned from publishing and prosecuted for their anti-Soviet sentiments. The end of the 20th century was a difficult period for Russian literature, with few distinct voices. Among the most discussed authors of this period were Victor Pelevin, who gained popularity with short stories and novels, novelist and playwright Vladimir Sorokin, and the poet Dmitri Prigov. In the 21st century, a new generation of Russian authors appeared, differing greatly from the postmodernist Russian prose of the late 20th century, which lead critics to speak about "new realism". Russian authors have significantly contributed to numerous literary genres. Russia has five

Paul can hardly understand how they find anything in the garbage: food is so scarce that everything is eaten. When he looks at the Russian soldiers, Paul can scarcely believe that these men with "honest peasant faces" are the enemy. Nothing about them suggests that he is fundamentally different from them or that he should have any reason to want to kill them. Many of the Russians are slowly starving, and they are stricken with dysentery in large numbers. Their soft voices bring images of warm, cozy homes to Paul's mind. But most people simply ignore the prisoners' begging, and a few even kick them. The spirit of brotherhood among the prisoners touches Paul deeply. They live in such miserable circumstances that there is no longer any reason for them to fight among themselves. Paul cannot relate to them as individual men because he knows nothing of their lives; he only sees the animal suffering in them. People he has never met, people in positions

observations began immediately. The authorities at Rome would not even look through his telescope. Why not? They had absolute faith in Aristotle. Not only that, if you think about it, the telescope reveals the existence of things which are not really there. Look at the heavenly body called Saturn with the naked eye. Do you see its rings? Of course not. In Galileo's day, seeing something that could not be seen with the naked eye was the same thing seeing apparitions or hearing voices it was the work of the Devil! The religious authorities at Rome were uneasy with the New Science. Copernicus, Kepler and Galileo seemed to be turning the world upside down. The sun was the center of the cosmos, the earth moved and the sky seemed to hold hidden visions. In effect, the Scientific Revolution had created an invisible world behind the visible world and those men of an older generation, weaned on Aristotle and Aquinas were fearful of it.
