In the same book, Seamus Heaney also points out that “there is something Yeatsian in the way that Larkin, in High Windows, places his sun poem immediately opposite and in answer to his moon poem”. In Barbara Everett’s study (“Philip Larkin: After Symbolism”) one finds ample evidence for the influence of French symbolism upon Larkin.

Learning English by computer

Learning english by computer Learning english by computer is a really good way to evolve your skills at home. There are positive and negative sides of learning english by computer. In my opinion are there more positive sides. I think that it would be more easier when you can study whatever time you want. When you are studying by computer then you abstain from conflicts with teacher. If you have your own computer then you can study at home and at the same time lie around, eat, listen to music, etc. I think that it would be cheaper and acceptable too. When you are studying english by computer then you don't have to think about your pronunciation. In my opinion is there only few bad sides. For example when you are studying at home then there's no discipline and you don't knuckle down. In my opinion is learning english by computer better way to improve your skills

absent from schools. The absent students mess up the whole classes program, because then it takes more time to study some subjects and teachers have a lot more work to do. I think, that when students skip school because of the bad weather, teachers should put homework and the work that should have been done in classes, on ekool, but not as concise as it would be if stundents have been at school. Then, students can study subjects on their own and if they can't understand something, they may send an e-mail to teachers or ask help from fellow students.

Choices after secondary school

school- High school. Although, what to do next? Many young people decide to go to university, while others think that going to work is a better decision. In my opinion, everyone should think about what he wants to do in future. On the one hand going to the university is very interesting way for student and this means, that you would have lively life, travel and meet people. Moreover, you get a lot of knowledge. However, in the other hand going to university implies that you study there 4-6 years more. In addition you can not be sure that you find after graduating from university a highly paid job. The other option for a high-school graduate is to get a job. There are people who think that big positive side is that you must not study boring theories and formulas. What is more you get salary. Despite these facts there will be very little possibilities for further development. You can not develop in future and find a highly paid job is very difficult.

education at a university. If a student decides to go to work after finishing secondary school, he does not have the best advantages for getting a good job. Today employers value high-quality vocational qualifications, so it might not be as good as choice as continuing your education. However, if a student chooses to continue his education, he has many possibilities, for example, university or vocational education. At a university he can choose what he wants to study and for how long, for instance, to get a bachelors degree he has to complete three years of study at a university. And after graduating from university he can, continue with post-garduate studies to complete a masters degree and then doctoral degree. But he can also decide to continue with vocational education, where he directly develops expertise in a praticular technology. To sum up, after secondary school students have two choices: university or work. However, in my

School on cool!

SCHOOL IS COOL ! The pressure for teens nowadays is unprecedented. Especialy for those who have exams, musicschool or training. Sudenly we find ourselves asking why? why so much pressure, what`s the whole point ? Too many responsibilities are very frustrating. Even some rainy day could make us sad ! It`s easy to study in winter, because nothing is calling us out. In spring only thought is what will i do after school? Weather is warm again and sun can be very foxy! Another disturbing factor is " annoying classmates" . Some people just want to put up a show. They scream , yell ugly words to teachers and impede the schoolwork. Thanks to the yellers, teachers are mad and ofcourse they punish the whole class. This is also very depressing. Just admire teachers! They can give us homework according to their mood

studing, but in Estonia this is only first step of educational life. After primary school in Estonia you have two ways to walk: high school or industrial school, where they get profession. Youngsters in United States of America and Great Britain have easier to make choice choosing a profession, because there they start to prepare people to get a job very early. High schools in Estonia teaches every subject almost equally, so everyone have to study everything, except for some schools that are oriented to teach few subjects in depth (IT classes, art classes etc). It´s much easier to make future career plans and to find suitable profesion if school teaches how to manage in real life with practical activities like different projects, presentations and so on. I think USA and Great Britain schools are very developed in teaching pupils how to think and find answers on their own because their school system supports

The First Years of the School: Reval Gymnasium

For the first 15 years the rector was Heinrich Vulpius whose Gymnasium Laws (show the picture) were used for more than a century. The set of laws influenced the life of the students a lot. They designated how the students were supposed to act in the school and in their free time. (show the pic) For example the laws said that the students were supposed to concentrate on studying and improving their intelligence and that students with lower intelligence should just study harder although people with no cognitive skills were advised to do something else than study. Students were also not allowed to sleep anywhere else than their home and to swim in cold water. For breaking the rules students could be punished with flogging, sitting on the floor, reading religious texts or a fine.

School system in the USA

Foreign students who would like to attend an American high school, need to consider how the high school they select will give them access to the best colleges. Undergraduate school Students who have completed high school and would like to attend college or university must attend as an undergraduate school. These are schools that offer either a two-year degree called an associate degree or a four-year degree called a bachelors degree in a specific course of study. That course of study is called the major. While most schools that offer a four-year degree will admit students who have not yet chosen a major, all students are required to select a major by their second year at school. Students who complete an associate degree can continue their education at a four-year school and eventually complete a bachelor degree. Graduate school Students who have obtained a bachelor's degree can continue their education by pursuing one of two types of degrees. The first is a master's degree

My future plans

My Future Plans. Well, here it is. I am not a person who likes to speak about his future plans a lot. I will try to tell in the shortest way about the exact things. The 9th form finishes and I am happy and sad at the same time. I think I will miss my classmates and some of the teachers from this school but I understand that from that point starts a new period of my life. After the 9th form I am going to study further but where exactly, I can't say now. I am thinking about what to choose. In my opinion the most perfect choice for me would be studying abroad. I know it will be very useful and interesting experience for me. My dream is to visit Tallinn like a guest. But may be when I leave my town I will value it more than I did before. And could be that it is just popular today: dreaming about leaving your hometown and studying abroad.

Pandemic - Studying during Covid-19

But when I have the motivation and or the goal in mind then I don’t think there is a more self-disciplined person than me. Most people probably enjoy studying from home because they can wake up when they want to, wear what they want to, eat what they want to and so on. But for me it just ruins my routines and boundaries therefore I get lazy and I start to slack off. Also I don’t like bringing “work” home because for me coming home is for unwinding and resting, but if I have to study at the same place where I rest then it’ll ruin the balance . Comparing studying at home and at school, then for me I definitely prefer studying at school because a big con for me is that I can’t focus and study, I get too comfortable, there isn’t anything more that I don’t like, but it’s obviously a dealbreaker. I hope things get better and we don’t have to deal with this again.

The lessons would take place in an old manor, where doors opening and closing by themselves wouldn't be anything unique. The classes would be small, but cosy and warm. We'd have a huge library with hundreds of old books. There would be a huge section only for romantic novels and books about love stories. The lessons would start at 9am. In my ideal school I'd have to study the average level of general subjects. There would also be certain amount of specialty studies, which I could be able to choose for myself. There wouldn't be too much homework, because the students would manage to finish their tasks in class. After the lessons students could go on free bus trips to anywhere in Estonia. They could visit different museums and churches or just see the beauty of our nature. That would be a great get-away from our everyday life!

States they use vocabulary grading (A,B,C,D,E,F), then in Estonia we use numeral grading (5,4,3,2,1). Post-secondary education, better known as "college" in the United States, is generally governed separately from the elementary and high school system. An American college is an institution of higher learning which lasts over a four year period and which grants/gives Bachelor's degree at the conclusion of studies. The students may gain a Master's degree within a year or two of further study. After another year or two of study and research they may gain a still higher degree of study and research as Doctor of Philosophy. Students of the establishment of higher education are freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors. A freshman is a first-year student, a sophomore a second- year student, a junior a third-year student and a senior a fourth-year student. Higher education in Estonia is basically the same. Work or university?

Work or university? After finishing secondary school you can take two choices. Whether you are going to work or study at the university. Now I would like to talk about their positive and negative sides. Firstly, I'd like to speak about going to work. Many people after finishing secondary school are going to work. One reason for this is that people have different abilities. Not everybody is suitable for university. The second reason is that perhaps they don't want to spend a lot of time on academic education. They are interested in particular profession which

Stress in the lives of young people today

One of the biggest stress factors are probably school, grades and future. Often students find themselves lacking knowledge to pass a subject or are too lazy to attend classes at all. This leads to a big amount of stress which they only have themselves to blame for. The best way to avoid this kind of stress would be studying hard and attending all classes. Young people also stress about the future a lot, they’re not sure where to study next or what to study. They’re also not sure whether they’re able to live an independent life or find a decent job. I think the second stress factor in the lives of young people today are relationships. Relationships may cause a lot of stress whether you’re losing a friend or you’re in a fight with your boyfriend or girlfriend. This stress can severely disrupt a person’s everyday life. I think young people also stress too much about their appearance. They do

Introduction to macroeconomics

Introduction to macroeconomics Macroeconomics Macroeconomics (from Greek prefix "macr(o)-" meaning "large" + "economics") is a branch of economics that deals with · the performance, structure, behavior and decision-making of the entire economy, · be that a national, regional, or the global economy The Economist's Dictionary of Economics defines Macroeconomics as - "The study of whole economic systems aggregating over the functioning of individual economic units. It is primarily concerned with variables which follow systematic and predictable paths of behaviour and can be analysed independently of the decisions of the many agents who determine their level. It is a study of national economies and the determination of national income." Macroeconomics examines the economy as a whole and answers questions

Truancy in school – individual responsibility

Truancy in school individual responsibility Hello ladies and gentlemen, today I am here to talk to you about truancy in school and why is it an individual responsibility. Truancy in school is a very serious problem nowadays. Unfortunately many students have lost their motivation to study. According to the BBC 400,000 children were persistently absent from England's schools in the past year and missed about one month of school each. The effect that poor attendance at school can have on a child's education can be permanent and damaging but skipping should be child's own responsibility and it is not right to punish the parents for it. Students have many reasons why they are skipping school, mostly they do not like the teachers or the subjects that they are taught

H. G. Wells

He aspired to a different place in society. When he was thirteen, he left school to become a draper's apprentice, a job his family expected would be proper for a boy of his station. The work repelled him, however. He worked briefly in a drugstore, returned for a stint as a draper's assistant, then finally found a job as a teacher's assistant in a grammar school. Education and academia suited him well. In 1884 he entered college with a scholarship to study biology. He was able to study under one of the great biology teachers of the time, Thomas Henry Huxley, and Wells graduated in 1888. The writings of Jules Verne undoubtably influenced Wells, and he wrote his first novel, The Time Machine, partly in response to this new kind of literature that Verne produced. The story appeared in various forms in magazines from 1888 to 1894 and was released in its current form in 1895. The book was successful, and Wells did not need to teach or worry about money from that time on.

planets that have the material to replace our resources and maybe get rid of the toxic waste we no longer have room here. Besides that, a war could break out involving majority of the countries which would lead to total destruction and it might be harder to rebuild the society here than to move to another planet that is not damaged. On the other hand, the money and time we would spend on space exploration by making it our priority might be better off spent here on earth. We could instead study our planet more to find new ways we could make living here better. Also we could invest in building better factories, which wouldn't damage the earth and put our lives in danger. In conclusion, space exploration is important because one day we might need help from somewhere else but that doesn't mean that that should be the only thing we focus on. In my opinion we should take care of our own planet and let it be our priority because destroying one planet after another wouldn't work

Imagination is More Important That Knowledge

Imagination is More Important That Knowledge Imagination is the ability to form a mental image of something that is not perceived through the senses. It's the ability of the mind to build mental scenes, things or events that do not exist, are not there or have ever happened in the past. Knowledge on the other hand is familiarity, awareness (osoznanije), or understanding gained (nakoplennqj) through experience or study. From the definition itself we can notice that to have knowledge you have to study or experience something in order to gain it but for imagination it is limitless, and also a gift from God to mankind and in fact has inspired us to gain more knowledge. Imagination is more important than knowledge as Albert Einstein said, "Imagination is everything. Imagination is within us, and on the other hand knowledge is learnt through schooling and experience..." Imagination is also what infuses faith. God Himself used imagination in the creation of everything even the humans

Food Microstructure and Starch Digestion

Cooking or just thermal heating starch leads to an increase of hydrolysis and therefore makes it easier for enzymatic attack in the gastrointestinaal tract. Slide 6 Starch digestion is also different in various foods with diferent components. Proteins that attaches to starch granules may make harder to digest starch. Cooking starch with protein may also reduce effectness of digestion. Protein forms around starch and it is harder to break through to starch. Ohter study found out that adding sodium sulphite to starch can prevent enzyme-resistant polymers that increase the speed of digestion because amylotic enzymes can easily hydrolyse starch. Removing gluten may also work to increase digestion time, but adding it back doed not reverse the reaction. Slide 7 This study found out how important is starch in our everyday life. Starch is one of the most important carbohydrates in our diet and therefore we studies how we can imprõve or decrease

What and inspiring place to be, to learn about food, cultures, different opinions on world, business and hospitality. Leaving from England was hard, for some reason a piece of me left there, so that was the moment i promised to myself, that i will go back to study in this multicultural environment. A Computer in my life

A Computer in my life. I can call myself a computer addict, because I spend many hours every day sitting behind the computer, most of my entertainment is connected with my computer. Like games, music, videos, movies, social networks and news. I used to have PC, but in September I bought myself a laptop. It's powerful, beautiful, it doesn't make much noise and it's quite easy to carry around. I use it to play games, study, watch movies, listen to music and the most important to connect with my friends. I rarely have problems with my computer. I'm an advanced user and I don't get viruses while surfing the net. After graduating high school, I'm thinking of buying tablet PC, because it's even more comfortable to use when you're on the move. Sometimes when I wake up early, I open my laptop, visit my webpages and then read news

Olya Keen answers: ”Those that are not broken down by the organisms are passed to wastewater, also, expired antibiotics from homes and hospitals are dumped into wastewater.” For example, the problem is actual in China. It has about a fifth of the world’s population, but it accounts for half of the world’s consumption of antibiotics, according to the study, conducted by the Guanghzou Institute of Geochemistry. Total consumption in 2013 was 162,000 tons. Furthermore, Ying Guangguo, the lead researcher of the topic has said: “There are no regulations for farms in China for how to manage their wastewater.
