Tuke's idea was that patients could learn self-control by caring for creatures weaker than themselves. This is an idea which has persisted. In New York, horses, cows, cats and dogs were recruited to heal soldiers who had been wounded during World War II. These animals comforted the traumatized and helped the battle-scarred to avoid becoming obsessed with their injuries. During the 1970's, scientific interest was rekindled by a study that had originally set out to examine the connection between social conditions and heart disease. Quite by chance, researchers discovered that the survival rate of people who owned a pet was significantly greater than those who didn't. At first, they treated these findings with suspicion, but the more research that was done, the more conclusive the proof became. People with pets really were living longer.
We don't have the strenght or skills to do them. What does it cause? It causes us a lot of stress and anxiety. It effects us in many ways. For example students might be unable to sleep. Studying and thinking about a lot of things makes our brain to wake up and when we suddenly go to bed to have some sleep, then our brain don't let us to. Also students have more difficulty concentrating on their studies. Their thoughts might jump around places that they shouldn't be jumping in, during the study. They might feel ultimate tiredness at that time, when they need to be alert to study. That's bad for their final scores and also for their mental health. And if we fall ill or have an accident in other European country, we can be sure that we can get medical treatment with no fuss and at the same cost as people living in that country. My dream home would be a beautiful two-storey detached house in a small town. The house is surrounded by a nice garden full of gorgeous plants and a lot of types of flowers. I would also hire a gardener, so I can have time for my other duties. There are many spacious rooms in my house that are in well-lit and pastel tones. There are a living room, a kitchen and lightly coloured guest room on the ground floor. On the first floor there is also a living room, two nurseries, a toilet and a study with a bookshelf that covers the entire wall. I would hang pictures of my travelles on the walls, so it's easier to talk about my trips to my friends and family. As I'm the quiet type I would like to have the house in the suburbs. Is there a place for libraries in future? I think in the past almost everyone liked just to sit in a library and to read good books. But what do young people think about libraries today? Millions of people around the world enjoy reading and in my opinion it will continue. I am convinced that we will always need in a library. Since childhood people learn to read, have fun and play, study and do homework at libraries. There are so many very great books, and every year their number increases. May be someday people will even start building libraries on the water. Then we could not only read books but also rest and travel. On the other hand libraries could be built for example as hotel. All people in our society have a role. All adults should have jobs. That means they need to choose a professions. In my opinion one the most needed professions is a doctor. When people get sick, they need doctors to check them, put diagnose and treat them. In my opinion there are few specialists in Estonia because lot of them go to foreign country, mostly because of the low salary in Estonia. Another job needed is teachers. If you want to study a specialty or aquire a high school you need teachers who will guide and teach. The third most needed profession is builders. The cities grow and new building`s are being razed and in turn, the economy is growing. Some old houses are being restored like they used to be in the past. I think that all three professions are needed in Estonia and that employees in this field do not leave Estonia when raise salary and they are recognized.
