In the same book, Seamus Heaney also points out that “there is something Yeatsian in the way that Larkin, in High Windows, places his sun poem immediately opposite and in answer to his moon poem”. In Barbara Everett’s study (“Philip Larkin: After Symbolism”) one finds ample evidence for the influence of French symbolism upon Larkin.

different but they had one thing in common, they all used I love English books. With my first teacher we wrote down lots of rules about grammar and other stuff like that but I did not understand them so for me it was more like a waste of time. With my second, third and fourth teacher I met in Jõhvi High school and they all were not good teachers because they did not want to teach us, during their lessons half of the class just played with their phones and other half of the class tried to study on their own. My fifth teacher was the one who taught me almost everything that I know now, in her lessons I was never bored, because we had so much to do during her lessons, we singed songs, read poems, did group works, where we only could talk in English and when she saw that someone was bored she left him/her more difficult homework and because of that we all took part of her lessons. Although it was hard in her lessons it was the only lesson where I used to learn.

Resume (conception of studying and teaching in university)

Resume Students approaches to learning and teachers approaches to teaching in higher education. Kristina Tairova HUM-IK-I NARVA 2014 Approaches to studying in higher education Research, carried out in Great Britain and Sweden in 1970 identified only three dominant approaches to study. ·A deep approach (understanding the meaning of materials and in my oppinion this approach includes additional studies, very serious way of learning) ·a surface approach (memorising the course materials, the most common approach) ·and the last one, a strategic approach (only grades make sense) But the same student can adopt different approaches, It depends on different things, such as personal interest, teacher, tasks. Within Leonardo's own lifetime his fame was such that the King of France carried him away like a trophy, and was claimed to have supported him in his old age and held him in his arms as he died. The interest in Leonardo's genius has continued unabated; experts study and translate his writings, analyse his paintings using scientific techniques, argue over attributions and search for works which have been recorded but never found.

Michelangelo

He was of noble birth, but was not raised by his parents. His father had him brought up by a stone carver and his wife, because his own wife was too ill to take care of the child. While living with his step-parents, young Michelangelo learned the skills that would serve him throughout his life, but his father was displeased when his son told him he wanted to be an artist, and it took much convincing for Michelangelo to be permitted to further his apprenticeship. Michelangelo went on to study sculpture at Medici gardens, where Leonardo da Vinci had also been taught. Following his sojourn at Medici gardens, Michelangelo went to Bologna, then to Rome, where he saw the impressive marble statues, which he would later echo in his own works. Upon his return, he set out to create his first complete sculpture, as statue of Mary holding Jesus' lifeless body, known as La Pietà. His first large scale commissioned work was the statue of Bacchus for a sculpture garden

studies is on a fee-paying basis. Student in colleges of further education often take vocational qualifications to prepare them for a particular job they would like to do, such as computing or tourism. At the end of their course, university students take their final examinations. Students who succeed in passing them graduate with a BA (Bachelor of Arts) or a BSc (Bachelor of Science). Most student in Estonia do not leave at home. They often choose to go and study in another town or city. In the first year, many live in a ,,hall of residence" (student accommodation which can be self-catering or whit food provided). After that, many prefer to rent a room or flat whit other students. Lots of students join clubs and societies when they go to university, such as drama societies and sports clubs. Karin Torim 9.B

Which is better-a well paid job or an interesting and fulfilling job?

In addition job greatly affects the life in general. So, when the job is unchallenging, the life becomes boring too. Money is not the most important thing in life. When people choose profession based on a salary, they could later realize that the work is unsatisfying. We hear a lot of stories about people, who first studied law, but understood later, that they are not into that. In most cases parents force their children to study a profession that pays well. They do not consider child's interest and child is also too shy to stand up. In the end, people should be confident and pursue what they're interested in. It is getting popular to work in many different work areas in life. Before people studied one profession and work as it till they get old. Today's people are easily bored, they search for something interesting. People want to get rid of the routine and because of that, they change jobs quite often. They do not

Benefits and drawbacks about Estonia

In my opinion, all seasons have own benefits. For example, Even winter is coming, snow is falling, temperature is very high, weather is cold, Estonian forests are so fantastic and enchantress. Also, Estonia is slightly bigger than Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland. On the other hand, this country have own drawbacks. What I really hate, it is mandatory learning Estonian language. Without knowledge Estonian language, I, and a lot of people cannot study in qualify and attractive universities. Also in our country significantly small salary and low perspective. There is average salary in one month 977 euro, but not all people give this money. In Estonia typical policeman getting paid approximately 600-700 and As long as police do not regularly receive wages sufficient to feed their families, their performance will always be open to compromise and corruption.

How I take attending school seriously

Cause every child has to go to school there is nothing to do when I miss classes. There isn´t anything to do alone and so it is much better to attend school because then I can be with my friend and also because then we can have more fun. Especially when we find something that is only for us funny but to others it may be something embarrasing. What can we do? We are boys after all. So what am I doing that showes how I take attending school seriously. First of all I try to study enough to get through the tests. I am trying to do my homework if I know how to do it. Okey my marks doesn´t seem good enough to a bystander but to me they are almost good enough. If I´d really want to I could do it better. I may say that I am giving almost everything I have but I can always do it better. I think that attending school is really important and so I will try to not miss too many classes.

Suitsetama hakkamise mõjutajateks on : ● Sõprade, vanemate ja perekonna mõju, eeskuju ● Suitsetamist hakatakse proovima varases teismeeas ● Alguses on suitsetamine n-ö seltsielu osa ning esimesed sigaretid saadakse sageli sõprade käest. ● Tahtmine kuu...

disease, heart disease, hypertension (high blood pressure), dyslipidemia (high cholesterol), stroke and even cancer. So if you don't want to be at risk for any of these diseases it is advised you get regular exercise and eat accordingly. Another great way to lead a healthy lifestyle is to get enough rest. As students, we must go to sleep early. This is to prevent us from being tired the next day. Therefore, we can give full concentration when our teachers are teaching us in class. A study shows that we must have atleast 8 hours of sleep. If we often stay up at night, it means that we are not leading a healthy lifestyle all the time. In conclusion, a healthy lifestyle mainly consists of getting regular exercise, eating healthy and getting enough rest.

The students who stayed - the "second halfers" - would be known as the students with the greatest passion for the subject. No grades or competition would exist. To decide, what kind of work suits me, helps communication with adults, meetings with representatives of universities and large selection of useful literature. Also I need to think about how well I can do what I would like to do. In my opinion, very interesting and noble profession is a doctor. I understand that it is necessary to study a lot to become a doctor. You must have good knowledge of biology, chemistry and mathematics. I realize that I should know the foreign languages too. Of course, much will depend from my exams result. So now I'm trying to learn as much as possible to pass them well and go into medical university. I don't know if she is bullied any more because I chanced the school but I hope that she has more friends now. Some years later there came a boy to our class. At first everybody got along with him but suddenly the other boys didn't like him and started hassleing him. If the other boys didn't like him, almost the whole class didn't like him after. I have really no idea why, but I think that's because he had glasses or because he didn't study well. He had problems with the teacher also. I was sorry for him but I wasn't bold enough to defend him. And I think I was a little bit scared that the others may bully me too when I defend him. Sometimes I even thought that he didn't understand that he was bullyed. Now I don't communicate very much with my old classmates but I have heard that they still bully him and I don't know how it even provides fun to them any more. I thought they have grown and studied something from that. I

Online music magazines

Online music magazines Making Music report: More playing, but progression is limited and class remains an issue Article by Alex Stevens This article taks about the playing of instruments among the children of UK. Based on the learner-teacher surveys made in 1993, 1996 and 1996 the playing of music instruments among children has increased by 35% since 1999 a new study has found, although issues of access, progression and class remain. More children aged 5-14 say that the 'know how to play' an instrument than in 1999. This suggests that programmes such as Wilder Opportunities have had an effect on the breadth of music-making in the UK. However the aricle suggests that there are still barriers like financial opportunities – the cost of instruments and lessons, then of course the lack of parental support and students not being interested

Online vs. traditional classes

comparison to often free of charge online classes. Surely such free classes can be quite sparing on one’s wallet, but the question is – are those no cost classes really reliable? For this reason, it is preferable to choose either traditional classes with a real teacher or dependable, and sometimes rather pricey, online classes. It will be worth it in the end. Lastly – social interaction. It is extremely important for most students to have a face to face interaction with their teacher. The study materials are generally more understandable and better acquired when explained orally by the teacher. This also gives the students the opportunity to immediately ask the teacher for clarification or additional information on a certain topic. Thus, the student will have a better understanding of the subject at hand as well as develop their social skills. In conclusion, even though there are several pros and cons to both traditional and online

Mostly, examination results are being compared, when making this kind of statistics. I truly believe that the only difference between schools is that some institutions just give better conditions for students. At the moment I am studying in Hugo Treffner Gymnasium and this school is highly valued in our country. After finishing the basic school, I knew that I would like to continue my studies in that school. The main reason was the fact that in Hugo Treffner Gymnasium it was possible to study social sciences extensively. The contest was hard to get in, but I had set a goal and I managed to fulfill my expectations. This school has given me better conditions to study the subjects which interest me. Still I think it is wrong to say that so called valued schools are essential for a good education. It shouldn’t be forgotten that nine tenths of education is encouragement like a French poet Anatole France has said.

Britain instead of 3 like it is in Estonia. Altogether, compulsory school in Britain lasts 11 years which is 2 years more than in Estonia. Moreover, there are slight differences as for the compulsory subjects taught in the first three years of secondary school in Britain and Estonia. In Britain, more emphasis is placed on Religious Studies, including Christianity and other religions, Drama and Information Technology. While in the first half of secondary school all pupils must study the same subjects, in the second half of secondary level and especially in the Sixth Form, more options are available for the British students when compared to students in Estonia. In the Sixth Form, they only have to choose 3 compulsory subjects with a vast range of extra subjects offered by the school like Economics, Food Technology, Government and Politics, Photography, Psychology and Theatre Studies. world heard that, it floated beyond the land. The reddest rose in the world was ready. When the Student saw that he was really happy and grabbed that and ran up to the Professor's house to see his love. But the girl instead of falling into Student's hands, frowned. She said that the Chamberlain's nephew had sent her some real jewels and everybody knew that they cost far more than flowers. Boy was disappointed and left. He was really disappointed in true love, he went to his room and began to study Metaphysics. Moral was something like so that people don't notice the real values in life, they often don't appreciate the most generous acts. People also start to understand values after they have lost somebody or something.

Why was life better-worse in Estonia 50 years ago?

Nowadays, people can afford themselves a good and livable life, having the work done by machines, wear the clothes they want to and feel free to become more and more successful every day. Secondly, 50 years ago, people had very limited rights, which made them kind a shy and sour. Even getting a job was a complicated act, because there were not many workstations. And the other problem was that people did not have fair qualification. Nowadays there is open ways everywhere. Anyone can study and work on whatever job when they have enough will. Having much money will certainly come handy here. But even without the money it is possible to do what your heart desires it is all up to you. The third reason, why life is now much more better, is that people are financially insured. Everyone has their own right what to do with the money, where to spend or who to give it. All the frontiers are free, which only do not mean traveling, but also availability of different foods and materials

Magazine article on what your life will be like in ten years

changing in the next few years? 3.what will you be doind 4.what will you have done? 5.where will you be living 6.will you have got married? 7.will you have travelled a lot? Everybody has their dreams and ideas, how they want they're life to be. Right now I am a school student. I'm dancing, playing guitar and just hang out with my friends. I'm in the tenth grade of high-school, so I have only two years to decide what I want to do after graduating. But I think I don't really want to study anything more, I just want to see what the life has for me. The First three years would be the hardest. Maybe I'm going to change my mind, and go to university. But I've got a plan, and a good one. To just slowly start to open my own busyness. Nobody really believes in that, neither do I. But to do anything at all, you first have to dream about it, that much, that you have a clear picture of every detail in your mind. I will open a nightclub. Named Black Diamond

USA school system

They normally attend 12 grades of study over 12 calendar years of primary and secondary education before graduating, earning a diploma that makes them eligible for admission to higher educationhigher education. Education is only mandatory until age 16, however. There are generally five years of primary (elementary) school, during which students customarily advance together from one grade to the next as a single cohort or "class", three years of middle school, which may have cohorts, and four years of high school.

than 50 different languages. Most of the readers are children or young teenagers, but the books are unusual in the way that they also appeal to adults. Each of the six books covers about a year in Harry's life as he grows from a boy into a teenager. At the start of the first book we learn that he is an orphan who lives with his horrible aunt and uncle, the Dursleys. On his eleventh birthday he discovers he is a wizard, and soon afterwards goes off to study at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which is where most of the action in the six books takes place. Hogwarts is part of a magical world that is invisible to people without magical powers, who are known as `Muggles'. Harry is the hero of all the stories, though there are many other likeable characters such as his friends Ron and Hermione, and the powerful wizard Albus Dumbledore. The main villain is the evil wizard Lord Voldemort, who killed Harry's parents.

Vormistamine ülesanne 3

In this chapter we introduce the reader to key issues in survey research 1.3 Breaking the ground: specification of the Research and the survey questions The first step in the survey process is to determine the research objectives. The researchers have to agree on a well-defined set of research objectives. These are then translated into a set of key research questions. For each research question one or more survey questions are then formulated, depending on the goal of the study. For example, in a general study of the population one or two general questions about well-being are enough to give a global indication of well-being. On the other hand, in a specific study of the influence of social networks on feelings of well-being among the elderly a far more detailed picture of wellbeing is needed and a series of questions has to be asked, each question measuring a specific aspect of well-being. These different approaches are illustrated in the text boxes noted later.

Mary Shelly "Frankenstein"

Peter's churchyard in Bournemouth, Dorset, England. The Book The story begins in a vessel in the North Pole where captain Robert Walton was on a voyage of discovery. Suddenly he saw a man and he was Victor Frankenstein. Victor was very ill and he started to tell Robert about his miserable life. Victor lived with his family in Switzerland. When Victor was a child, he wanted to learn the hidden laws of nature, the secrets of heaven and earth. When he became older, he went to study in Ingolstadt where he began creating a monster. At first he was excited but when the creature started breathing, he realised that it was a big mistake. The monster ran away and started to explore life. In time he learned how to use fire and how to talk. He wanted to communicate with people but they threw rocks at him and wanted to kill him. He was lonely and soon he became angry at everyone. At first he killed Victor's brother. After hearing that Victor went back to Switzerland

Are young people living in Estonia patriots of their homeland?

over the world, advertising and introducing it proudly. Furthermore, there are many young men and nowadays also women, who want to take part in time service, which is indispensable when crisis situation should brake forth, because those people are trained and prepared to fight for Estonia whenever it is necessary. They are ready to give their life for the freedom of their homeland. One the other hand, there are many young Estonians who want to go to study abroad and sometimes they stay there for the rest of their lives. They think that life is better compared to the contitions Estonia has to offer. Also, many young women are convinced that Estonian men are dolts and wusses and think that foreigners make much better husbands for them and better fathers of their children. So, this is the point where young Estonian men should step out for themselves and prove that this belief is not true. There is yet another a well-known saying
