Oscar Wilde
The Nightingale and the Rose
Oscar Wilde was born on 16 October in 1854, he was a successful Irish playwright, novelist, poet and author of short stories . He graduated the Magdalen College. Wilde was sentenced two years in prison that was unkind to his health, after he was released in 1897 he spent his last three years penniless.
I read a Oscar Wilde`s fairy tale , it was a bit different of usual fairy tales because it didn’t end happily.
There was a Student , who loved one girl. This girl was a daughter of the Professor . She had said that she will dance with the Student if he would bring her a red rose. But the problem was that there weren't any red roses growing in his garden and he wept , his face buried in his hands . He was very sad because he can't dance with his love.

Oliver twist - kokkuvõte

bad family, which angered Oliver again. Mr. Sowerberry arrives home asks Oliver what happened. Oliver tells him that Noah said bad things about his mother, and Mrs. Sowerberry began insulting her 1 again. She then burst into tears because Oliver was talking back to her, and this forced Mr. Sowerberry to punish Oliver severely. They then sent him to bed, and early the next morning he rose and left the house. On his way towards London he stopped by the house of Mrs. Mann and saw his friend Dick, who appeared to be dying, out in the garden. The boys embrace, talk, and say their farewells to each other, and Oliver heads towards the city intent on running away from the Sowerberrys. Chapter 8: Òliver began his walk to London. He had very little food and had to beg for it on his way.

Videvik(kogu raamat Inglise keeles)

Maybe the truth was that I didn't relate well to people, period. Even my mother, who I was closer to than anyone else on the planet, was never in harmony with me, never on exactly the same page. Sometimes I wondered if I was seeing the same things through my eyes that the rest of the world was seeing through theirs. Maybe there was a glitch in my brain. But the cause didn't matter. All that mattered was the effect. And tomorrow would be just the beginning. I didn't sleep well that night, even after I was done crying. The constant whooshing of the rain and wind across the roof wouldn't fade into the background. I pulled the faded old quilt over my head, and later added the pillow, too. But I couldn't fall asleep until after midnight, when the rain finally settled into a quieter drizzle. Thick fog was all I could see out my window in the morning, and I could feel the claustrophobia creeping up on me. You could never see the sky here; it was like a cage.

Heartless

at her. Just before the door she stopped and asked them without turning, "And for how long are you planning to be the Devil's dolls?" Loveless smiled and replied quietly, "Sooner or later we'll join your forces and defeat them once and for all!" The other two exchanged a scared look, yet said nothing. The man was too angry to follow the conversation. Heartless left the "Devil's" orphanage and went to see the Royal Church, where all homeless people could stay for the night. At least she had heard so. She herself couldn't enter any church before, because the Puppet Master wanted them to stay away from all sacred placed he was a true Demon, after all! But finally, the long-wanted freedom had arrived! Of course, losing home was unpleasant, but fortunately it was spring, so there was time to live without worries until the first snowfall. It was evening indeed, so the temperature stayed around +5 Degrees only. Heartless was cold, yet she was used to it already

come true. You deserve it. And to Alistair and Jessica, from Seven Years to Sin , who inspired me to write Gideon and Eva's story. I'm so glad the inspiration struck twice! 1 "We should head to a bar and celebrate." I wasn't surprised by my roommate's emphatic pronouncement. Cary Taylor found excuses to celebrate, no matter how small and inconsequential. I'd always considered it part of his charm. "I'm sure drinking the night before starting a new job is a bad idea." "Come on, Eva." Cary sat on our new living room floor amid a half-dozen moving boxes and flashed his winning smile. We'd been unpacking for days, yet he still looked amazing. Leanly built, dark-haired, and green-eyed, Cary was a man who rarely looked anything less than absolutely gorgeous on any day of his life. I might have resented that if he hadn't been the dearest person on earth to me. "I'm not talking about a bender," he insisted

The Life-Changing Competition

A life-changing competition Finally, it was the 1st May the final day of the Youth Rock Competition. Many student bands from all over the country were preparing for the final battle. The Raven wasn't an exception. The vocalist, Daemon, practiced the guitar, while the others tried to calm down from the pressure that was thickening the air. Matrix, the guitarist, had taken his little sister with him. While he himself was practicing with the Ravens, Alice sat amongst the public. Suddenly, someone shook her hand. The girl turned and saw one extravagant-looking woman. "You are Alice Owen, right? The legendary Billy Owen' s youngest daughter?" Alice smiled and nodded. "Yet I don't believe my father is a legend." "Well, for me he's an idol! I've always dreamed about his live-concert! And, now, finally, I can hear his singing!" "He's just opening the competition..." But the woman seemed very happy, so Alice decided not to ruin her mood and agreed to everything
