Should smart devices be banned in the classroom? Now days smart phones are inseparable part our lives, we can see them everywhere. Students have them all over the world. The disadvantages of banning smart devices are several. Cellphones can be very useful if used for the right purposes. When smart devices are banned then students can’t use their smart phones for looking up information, or knowing what homework is and can’t use them for dictionaries or calculators. The advantages of banning smart devices are more than advantages. When tabs, smart phones or computers are banned then also students could not cheat on a test by looking for information on the Internet and they could not get distracted on their devices by being socially active by texting on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram or playing games. In my opinion of banning smart devices is a good idea because students will be a more alert to be awar...

"It all started when I was twelve years old and auditioned for a role on a show called Zoey 101 for the part of Lola. I was cast as a series regular on the second season. I knew my life was going to change in many ways, but I didn't know then that that role on Zoey 101 would lead me to almost eight years on `Nickelodeon' (all my teenage years). I remember Dan Schneider approaching me and my Mom about giving me the starring role of my own show. I remember discussing the premise of what the show would be, like it was yesterday. I remember discussing what we would name it and him calling me one day and saying, `I have it, it's going to be called Victorious`. He was so excited, because he thought it was perfect. I remember him saying, `see, it has your name in the title, along with your character's name (Tori) and you're character's `Victorious` because she makes it into this really cool school.' I thought great, I loved it
Students like to relax and communicate with each other, it is also popular because watching films is not too physically demanding. Secondly, there are some problems but Film Club team is trying to solve them. The biggest problem is lack of money and because of that we would like to raise the entry fee. In addition to money problems DVD library films are all from ancient times and this collection has not been renewed since 1995. We are discussing about throwing a Film Fair, where people could donate nowadays films to us. Finally, last month 15 new members joined our club and to increase the popularity of Film Club, we would like to throw a disco every Friday after films and quizes. Therefore, Film Club team hopes that this would accelerate our popularity and more students would join the club and then our club could continiue excisting. Yours faithfully, ------

Fred and George Weasley gave to Harry the Marauder's map which led him through a secret passageway into Hogsmeade, where he rejoins Ron and Hermione. In fact. Harry hadn`t got permission to visit the Hogsmeade, because no one had signed his permission form, so that was the only way how he can visit it. Inside the Hogsmeade tavern, Harry overheard Cornelius Fudge discussing Sirius Black's responsibility for Harry's parents' deaths. They also discussed the death of the another Hogwarts student, Peter Pettigrew, who was blown to scraps. At Hogwarts, Harry received a notice from Hagrid where he said Buckbeak, the hippogriff who attacked Malfoy, is going to be put on trial. Hagrid was very funereal and inconsolable about it that maybe he doesn`t see his charming and faithful never again if they sentence him to death
Hello. This is Jana Raudsepp speaking. Hello Jana. What can we do for You. Well, I´ve been thinking about saving our city. Okay, what do You exactly mean with this ? Well, our city has a lack of fresh air in some places, and i think we should do something. I agree with You, Jana. So, what´s your idea? I think, we should make car-free zones in places with heavy traffic for example citycenter. You have a great idea, Jana. Thats actually worth discussing with mayor. I think, that would be good idea, if we start a petition and collect signatures against travelling with car in citycenter. But what about service vechicles and public trasnport ? These will be still allowed. This will be the fastest way to travel in citycenter. I also tought so. Perhaps You have some more good ideas ? Let me think... Yes, I do. Speak ,Jana, I´ll listen and write them also down.

The themes dealt with in a book are simply not relevant to young people today When we create a chart of things that young people like to do in their free time, reading would probably not be in the first three. Is it related to the themes discussed in books and are those themes irrelevant to young people today? Obligatory books in basic school and gymnasium, are mostly from the previous century or from even earlier. Those books are mainly discussing love, wars and relations having one but those books don't talk about everything. They have their confines and mainly concentrate on descriptions and less on the story. But young people want their own picture from the book, they don't need every detail described. When we think more about the themes disussed in obligatory books, then they are also hold in check. Here is the second problem, youngsters can't relate to those topics. For example,
a stranger Every year, thousands of people want to meet someone speacial or just a new friend. Unfortunately not all of us can make it work. Some of us just can´t break the ice between himself and the stranger. Here are few examples why politics and religion are not a safe topics to start a conversation with. On the one hand, starting a conversation with this topics can be safe, If both participants are not arguing, but just unbiased and discussing it. Everything depends of place, where you have met this new person. If you had met him somewhere at conference, where is suitable to talk about politics, then it could be fine. You can start a conversation with different questions like: "Hello, which political party you belong to?" - It would not be criminal. This person will answer you, if he wants to. Then you can keep on with your questions and try to promote this conversation.

The family is very important as a unit in our society. Nothing else but family can be an emotional center of people's life, can be a transmitter of culture and raising children. Understanding between the members of the family and consideration for others are very important in family relationship. Tenderness, warm-heartedness and respect must always be present in the family to make it friendly. A lot of activities help members of the family to be on friendly terms: discussing all the family plans together, going on trips hikes together, visiting museums, theaters, exhibitions and exchanging opinions about them, sharing the same joys and sorrows. If you think of the others in the family you show your love and attention in everyday life, you can hurt them if you are selfish, not sincere and rude. Some people think that parents should be patient, kind and understanding. And others believe that children ought always to obey
The angle from which the problem is going to be looked upon in the essay is also stated. In longer essays these are in different paragraphs, in shorter ones they can be in one paragraph. The body of the essay usually consists of several paragraphs, the number of which depends on the length of the essay. Each paragraph should begin with a topic sentence. The following sentences should enlarge on the theme, give examples, etc. If it is an essay discussing the advantages and disadvantages of something, the advantages should be grouped together and so should be the disadvantages. One paragraph should only talk about one thing, aspect, etc. If a new thought begins, a new paragraph should be started, too. In essays that express the writer's opinion mainly, one paragraph (usually the last one before the conclusion) should be reserved for the opposing viewpoint. When writing an essay, information should not be unnecessarily repeated. The same is

Act 3 Scene 1 Cassio sends musicians to play outside of Othello’s window, hoping to win back some of his friend’s support. However, Othello sends his servant to wave them away. Cassio begs the servant for a message to be sent to Emilia in order for him to gain access to Desdemona. Iago appears and tells Cassio that he will retrieve Emilia and somehow get Othello away so as Cassio can speak with Desdemona. When Emilia arrives, she relays how Othello and Desdemona have been discussing the case and that even though Desdemona has been pleading his case, the reinstatement of Cassio is impractical because of Montano’s popularity in Cyprus. Emilia eventually lets Cassio enter, telling him to wait while she fetches Desdemona. Scene 2 Othello and Iago, with a Cyprus gentleman walk at a nearby citadel, discussing matters of state. In the first part of this study I will offer an outline of Larkin’s poetics, based on the form and the style he used to use, to get in to a second part in which I will assess the way he presents and expresses his ideas. 1.CHAPTER I 1.1. LARKIN STUDIES POINTS OF VIEW: BIOGRAPHY AND POETRY In the collection of essays edited by Stephen Regan (Philip Larkin, 1997) we can find some underlying question as: are we discussing the poem or the poet? Or, in Larkin’s terms: are we more deceived or less deceived by the metonymy of the phrase “we are reading Larkin”? The main purpose of the volume may be discussing and assessing Larkin’s poetry, but there are at least as many references to his letters (mainly published in SL) and to his life as to the poems themselves. If we think that Larkin is known as a legend we shouldn’t be surprised about the importance his life takes as a part of his work

This is `an ever-interesting, even thrilling topic, and you must be good at discussing weather'. What might be the reason? 15. What is the British attitude towards nature / animals? British have idealized vision of the countryside and nature. To them, To them the countryside means peace and quiet, beauty, good health and no crime. Even if they can't afford buying a cottage in the countryside the British spend a lot of their time with nature. They grow plants gardening is one of the most popular hobbies in the country

influential work, Course in General Linguistics (Cours de linguistique générale), was published posthumously in 1916 by former students Charles Bally and Albert Sechehaye on the basis of notes taken from Saussure's lectures in Geneva. The Course became one of the seminal linguistics works of the 20th century, not primarily for the content (many of the ideas had been anticipated in the works of other 20th century linguists), but rather for the innovative approach that Saussure applied in discussing linguistic phenomena. Saussure is one of the founding fathers of semiotics, which he called semiology. His concept of the sign/signifier/signified/referent forms the core of the field. Equally crucial, although often overlooked or misapplied, is the dimension of the syntagmatic and paradigmatic axes of linguistic description. Saussure's 'theory of the sign' defined a sign as being made up of the matched pair of signifier and signified. Signifier

role alignment between speakers and hearers of utterances, linked to each other through them. (Agha 2003) Conclusion: `Estuary English' is an artificial term that covers a number of levelled out varieties of English spoken in the south-east of England. It constitutes a continuum of accents between Received Pronunciation and Cockney, accompanied by standard grammar and possibly several characteristic lexical features. Since Rosewarne invented this label linguists have been discussing various aspects of the concept, though there have not been many of those who published their views. Those who did, were primarily interested in discovering whether it was a uniform accent in its own right and defining the boundaries between EE and the neighbouring accents RP and Cockney. They failed to do so because as it turned out those boundaries were too fuzzy the supposedly typical EE features appeared in the other two accents as well

GRI has revised the Guidelines and initiated work on developing sector supplements and protocols to add to the rigour and robustness of the reporting framework: In support of the revisions process, GRI undertook a Structured Feedback Process that gathered input on the Guidelines from 31 companies. Recognizing the intense debate around assurance of reports, GRI established a Verification Working Group as a forum for discussing how verification should be addressed in the GRI framework. In 2001, GRI established the Measurement Working Group to develop recommendations on performance indicators for inclusion in the 2002 Guidelines. The Revisions Working Group—a group of 12 individuals representing a broad range of constituencies and geographic areas—worked for six months to propose revisions to the Guidelines.

Symptoms of depression are tiredness, observation breakdown, pessimistic thoughts, sleeping disorders. Depression can be cured but in some cases it is unfortunately impossible. Mental disorder can be prevented by being outside, sleeping at least 9 hours, engaging in a hobby and being with your friends. Chapter two is about the structure of the research and discussing the poll I conducted among young people. Last chapter I made analysis about my research, there are charts about the answers of the poll, besides I pointed out the best answers in my opinion. Also I pointed out the answers in the percentage and analysed them. I got more knowledge of the distribution of depression among my acquaintances and their knowledge of depression. However, co-star Dean Martin, who had a clause in his contract giving him an approval over his co-star, was unwilling to work with anyone but Monroe. She was rehired.[34] Monroe conducted a lengthy interview with Life, in which she expressed how bitter she was about Hollywood labeling her as a dumb blonde and how much she loved her audience.[35] She also did a photo shoot for Vogue and began discussing a future film project with Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra, according to the Donald Spoto biography. She was planning to star in a biopic of Jean Harlow as well as starring alongside Jack Lemmon in Irma La Douce, a Billy Wilder comedy that eventually starred Shirley MacLaine.[15] Other projects under consideration were What a Way to Go! In poetry, personification is achieved also by addressing the object. If personification is associated with symbolic or didactic tendencies, it becomes allegory. It can be found in fables in which animals portrait human beings. 5) Other cases Bathos is ruining a solemn effect by bringing together unrelated elements. The later are: · Words belonging to different stylistic groups--colloquial and literary words together (I aint discussing it with my parent) · Using colloquial words when speaking about famous people (That Shakespeare chap) · Mentioning a down-to-earth object side by side with something lofty (they were kissing passionately. The pigs were grunting loudly) Bathos adds humor and irony. Allusion is a reference to something presumably known to the reader--to literature, history, mythology, facts of everyday life, etc. Usually, no indication of source is given.

Education Education is so multifaceted that it is difficult for me to know where to begin discussing it, or how to prioritize the many factors. Relaying my own experience is easy: I had a standard classroom approach, supplemented by inordinate reading. In only the briefest and least memorable instances did I receive any individual tutoring. Education is commonly thought of as the job of schools. Adults cry "educate our children!" Everyone has opinions about the best way to do the job. It is of urgent importance, and all the
the sufferings of their people. They are much more concerned with their stupid importance, where everybody is “a chief and,” as they say in America, “no Indians.” I have yet to find a group of Africans in America who have decided to volunteer to go to Africa for any relief work. Yet, they express all kinds of anger when they see a Caucasian man or woman carrying an African child, or leading a group of wounded children or women, in any war torn area in Africa. They will spend an eternity discussing the pros and cons of that Caucasian man or woman carrying that child, rather than do something about it themselves. I repeat that the African in America is intellectually bankrupt and decrepit. Here is a group which is regarded as the most educated immigrant group in America, they are yet to accomplish even one twentieth what the Indian, Chinese, and Korean counterparts have been able to accomplish in America. The Chinese on the other hand, control how America eats
overtones (e.g. "The woman went along the road, then it stopped and ring."). "We" according to English norm may be used to denote only a speaker. "We" the Majestic Plural that is used in king or queen's orders or manifesto (e.g. "We, Queen Elisabeth ...."). The Modest Plural is when "we" is used out of modesty as if involving the audience as well (e.g. "Last time we were discussing ..."). The Modest Plural in prose creates associations with scientific prose (also in term papers) and creates a true to life effect (e.g. W. Scott used "we" in his historical novels it made the reader to feel he is dealing with popular science fiction). "They" becomes emotional when used independently (e.g. R. Kipling "All that people like us are "we", and everyone else are "they".). "This", "that" may express anger or irritation (e.g
whereas a zero has a transition from down to up. The reason for Manchester encoding is that the clocks in the sending and receiving adapters are not perfectly synchronized. By including a transition in the middle of each bit, the receiving host can synchronize its clock to that of the sending host. Ethernetis on multiple access protocolina kasutusel CSMA/CD, millest räägitakse punktis 44. Before discussing specific Ethernet technologies, we need to discuss repeaters. A repeater is a physical-layer device that acts on individual bits rather than on packets. It has two or more interfaces. When a bit, representing a zero or a one, arrives from one interface, the repeater simply recreates the bit, boosts its energy strength, and transmits the bit onto all the other interfaces. Repeaters are commonly used in LANs in order to extend their geographical range. When used with Ethernet, it is
