In my case, I’m doing it because of all the above. [2] What is „A Dance“? Dance is the art of movement of the body, usually rhythmically and to music, using prescribed or improvised steps and gestures. "A dance" is any one prescribed sequence of such movements, or the music to which it is performed, or an event at which it takes place. It can be categorized and described in various ways. Still there’s many generic similarities in dances from many different times and places. Theatrical dance, also called performance or concert dance, is intended primarily as a spectacle, usually a performance upon a stage by virtuoso dancers. It often tells a story, perhaps using mime, costume and scenery, or else it may simply interpret the musical accompaniment. Examples are western ballet and modern dance, Classical Indian dance and Chinese and Japanese song and dance dramas. [3]

Britain was at the forefront of punk music (see below) in the 1970s with bands such as the Sex Pistols and The Clash, and the subsequent rebirth of heavy metal with bands such as Motorhead and Iron Maiden. Music in Britain from 1920s to the Present Day 1920s - Young people listened to ragtime and jazz. 1930s - Swing became popular. Benny Goodman and his Orchestra were the 'King of the Swing', as were Glenn Miller and Artie Shaw. The music was fast and frantically paced and led to dances being banned from dance halls, as the young women being flung into the air by their partners showed their stocking tops and underwear. Jazz continued to be popular. 1940s - The Second World War brought fast, frantic (and often American) dance music - boogie-woogie or jitterbug. Dances were held in church halls, village halls, clubs, Air Force bases - everywhere! But slower, romantic songs were also popular as loved ones went away to fight, such as Vera Lynn's 'We'll Meet Again'
clothing, homes and art varied according to the climate and landscape around them. In West the tribes were hunters and in Southwest the tribes grew corn. American Indians today prefer to be called Native Americans, they helped the early settlers to adapt a life in a new country. When the settlers wanted to take over tribal land the Native American were forced to move to seperate areas called reservations. Traditional Indian culture (including dances, religion and language) was forbidden. Today there are about 2 million Native Americans who live on the 278 reservations across the country. We also give colored eggs as presents to friends and children are cracking the eggs. More than Easter Estonians have traditionally celebrated a spring. There is a day near Easter called Paastumaarjapäev (the Day of Virgin Mary and Fast) which is a women's day. Women and girls go together to swim in a spring in the sunrise it will make them fresh and goodlooking for rest of the year. After they dance and sing and dance traditional round dances. It used to be the only day when men stayed at home and took care of the house and children. Women colored their cheeks with a herb "naistepuna" ("women's red") and went to tavern to have some red liqueur. Celebrating spring contains more or less fertilizing rituals. As we have to do a lot of work to making something grow, these rituals have an important place in our traditions. It is not only necessary for getting a good harvest from your field but also

Sports Centre Jyri sport centre is a modern building with up to date technology. The sports centre includes a gym, budo hall, dance hall, swimming pool and a room where you can play pall games. I think Jyri sports centre has more advantages than disadvantages. I am rather optimistic and think it is such a privilege that we have sports centre in jyri. Thanks to the sports centre there is many hobbies you can choose from. You can learn different martial arts, different dances, basketball, football and table tennis. you can take swimming lessons and much more. When you just want to take a time out you can take a steam bath, a regular sauna or just relax in a bubble bath. To me jyri sports centre has only one disadvantage. That you have to pay for these things which the sports centre includes. I find this as a disadvantage because in these hard times I do not have the luxury to go swimming or visit the gym, but again what is the price for your health?

Tourists from all over the world traipse through the villages and this causes cultural and economic disaster. Also the benefits of toursim are often skimmed off by businessmen from outside the community. It ruins and changes the local peoples culture. The Masai of East Africa, for instance, are used as icons of exoticism in toursism, but they have been evicted from their lands. The Masais are selling souvenirs, charging for pictures and performing their sacred dances for tourists to get living. These things show that the destruction is not just a superficial consenquence of tourism, but is often an indication of much more deep-rooted cultural changes. But a quiet cultural revolution is happening. Communities are standing up and asking for something different. Over the last decade there has been a rapid growth in local ,,alternative tourism" initiatives. This means that buildings are built by locals with sustainable local

They are all waiting for Billy's performance. And it starts. In my opinion, Billy Elliot is a really touching movie. I had seen it before but watching again made me think about it. It's heart-warming and life-affirming as my mother said. Billy Elliot is an amazing boy and an example for all of us. He's just like: 'I'm gonna express myself in my dance.' And he expresses himself... And he doesn't wanna use violence, but he puts his violence into his dance. And dances his way through all big issues. Merylin Tihomirova

For example, in case of the disturbances in April 2007, young men where ready to go as voluntaires to protect our country. Also, more an more young people are interested in taking part in the Song and Dance Festivals. Where they can wear our national clothes, sing our national songs and dance our national dances. It is a classical love story, how a man and a woman at first loath each other and later on fall in love. But it can be said that it is a quite women- dominating story, as it shows women having power, although little, but still- and how it was uncommon those days to praise women in literature. Women are desperate to find a man to marry, especially a rich man, then they submit to their husbands, if not they are off to find a new one. Most of the action happens at balls. It is depicted as dances were the center of social world. Dancing seemed to be the only way how women could meet men, which is very unreasonable in my opinion, but what can I do? Women choose men by counting their finances rather than admireing their looks or personalities. Mostly women are shown as desperate ladies, whenever a man was approaching their home, they would go insane-everything had to be perfect, movements and emotions not highly expressed/showed.

To touch, to move, to inspire. This is the true gift of dance. The only way to dance, is to believe in yourself and do it. It is not possible to say when dance became part of human culture. Dance has certainly been an important part of ceremony, rituals, celebrations and entertainment since before the birth of the earliest human civilizations. Archeology delivers traces of dance from prehistoric times. One of the earliest structured uses of dances may have been in the performance and in the telling of myths. It was also sometimes used to show feelings for one of the opposite gender. It is also linked to the origin of "love making." Before the production of written languages, dance was one of the methods of passing these stories down from generation to generation. Although dance is often accompanied by music, it can also be presented independently or provide its own accompaniment (tap dance). Dance presented with music may or may not be

The reason for this is that Krumping is a style supposed to enable people to express their most inner emotions. It is an artistic manifestation of various feelings and thoughts. Krumping is very easy to learn and practice. All you have to do is watch a few videos and dancing tutorials to learn the basic moves and then start looking around your region for a crew to join. There are numerous teams in all the major cities that have a base culture involving street dances of all kinds. Krumping usually involves contact between dancers. It can often look like a fight to outsiders Young people generally prefer the Krumping dance style, as it is a form through which they can express emotions and thoughts without being judged. The most important part for them is that this is a way through which they can rebel and act on various events and activities that upset them. All the emotions of the human nature can be expressed through the moves of this dance
and legends, how the world or a certain place was made. In fairytales people learn about virtues, how to make a difference between right and wrong. If that was lost, where will kids learn their values then? From society? Where there are liars, thiefs, frauds, hypocrisists, violent and selfish people? Or from cartoons, where a cat hits a mouse and the mouse hits it back? When languages die, songs and traditions die as well. Our ancestors use to dance and sing at parties. There were certain dances, for example kaera-jaan, and games, such as ''Me lähme rukkist lõikama''. In which people run around in pairs in circle and in certain place of the song, they start looking for another partner. And one will be left inside the circle without a partner. We played it in kindergarten. It was our tradition at every party. In my family we had a custom before the meal. We all held eachothers hands and we said: ''Õnnistatud söögiaega ja head isu!''

Subjects like art, singing, dancing and so on. There’s still one thing that I don’t agree with Ken. He says that there’s no school, where kid could study arts as much as math. In Estonia, we have schools where are classes specialized of some certain subjects like folk dances, gymnastics, different languages, art and so on. Still it isn’t like that in every school, even not in every class in this certain school. Ken admits, that right now we are tought to be university proffessors. searching for information, listening to music, watching films and TV series and online shopping. One of the oldest type of entertainment is the theatre. It is a word taken from the Ancient Greeks. It means Seeing Place. A typical stage-play depends on 3 things: actions seen, words spoken and people watching and listening. The first theatres were built by the ancient Greeks. They were outdoors. There were no plays. Songs sung by a chorus told stories about gods. There were also dances. Today the interior of a modern theatre looks different. The two main parts of a modern theatre are the stage and the hall. The hall is separated from the stage by the orchestra. At the sides of the stage are the wings. A curtain covers the stage. The seats on the floor are known as stalls. The raised back part of the ground floor is the pit, the small compartments are the boxes. Then follow the dress circle, the balconies and finally the gallery.

on the other reality that is the Dreaming. Aboriginal people were social beings as they lived together in groups. Their camps were comprised of number of gunyas or bark huts but people also lived in caves and in the open air. Some camps consisted of 10 people, some even more than 400 people. When children were born they were taught how to cope with the material and non- material elements of the world. There was a great emphasis on religion; all the children were taught the rhythms of dances in preparation for later participation in sacred and non- sacred rituals. Shortly after a child could walk he began to handle small spears, followed his father and other men to fishing. "Why, indeed?" said he, in his natural tone "but some emotion must appear to be raised by your reply, and surprise is more easily assumed, and not less reasonable than any other."
