Sport is very popular in my class. Almost the whole class goes workout. There are only two or three people who were not in training. Sport is also popular in my family. My brother has been played basketball already four years and my mom do aerobics. Only my father, do not go to training. My family has practiced many different sports. My brother started with basketball four years ago and he is still playing. My mother played basketball too but it was years ago and she has been in athletics too. My father played volleyball and he have been cycling. In my class the most popular sports are dancing, badminton and basketball. I started with gymnastics when I was six years old. I'm still in gymnastics. I haven't been into any other sports. I think its necessary to do sports because it's good for you health. But sometimes it might be bad for your health.

In Jamaica it is not uncommon for young athletes to attain press coverage and national fame long before they arrive on the international athletics stage. For me it's sport because it's pretty hard to drive all the day and then go to home and to your homeworks and so one. I drive with my friends and it's pretty fun because i can do some tricks that my friends can't do and then they are going to learn that trick. Of course my friends can to tricks what i can't do and it's fun to learn and teach some new tricks. But sport is important thing in our life. For example we have here in estonia so many good athletics like Erki Nool, Gerd Kanter and so one. It's good to see when your country contestant win a medal. We have won quite a number of medals like Gerd Kanter did it in Peking and won a Gold. The most popular sports in the world are track and field, football, basketball, boxing, volleyball and swimming. The sports have changed greatly since the mid 1900's. Performances once thought to be impossible are common today. There are a number of reasons for this remarkable progress in athletics. They include increased competitions, especially in Europe, as well as improved training methods, equipment and techniques. The Olympic Games is an international multi-sport event subdivided into summer and winter games. The Olympic Games bring together thousands of the world's finest athletes to compete against one another. No other sports event attracts so much attention. I can only imagine how Liisa-Maria Pihlak, 12B hard it must’ve been for a teenage girl, to start acting like an adult to due such circumstances. Julie’s father used to make fun of her ambitions of becoming a famous athlete, however she was actually pretty talented. She held a local record for sprint and often trained in school for the athletics team. Jack described Julie having a high ridge of cheekbone beneath her eyes, which gave her the deep look of some rare wild animal. In electric light her eyes were black and big. The soft line of her mouth was just broken by two front teeth and she had to pout a little to conceal her smile. Jack obviously longed to examine his older sister. Unlike Jack, Julie takes great care of her appearance, which takes considerable preparation each evening.

Martin Klein was the first Estonian Olympic medal winner. Among other Estonians, the heavyweight wrestlers Georg Lurich, Aleksander Aberg and Georg Hackenschmidt were famous at the turn of the century. Before independence, Estonians were the best in the whole Russian empire in athletics (16 records out of 29), wrestling and weightlifting. Estonian sport was therefore born before the independent state. Actually, it was an important factor in our national awakening. Several great figures of national politics, among them the first president Konstantin Päts, belonged to the sports association "Kalev" (1901). Because of that it is no surprise that sportsmen have always been held in high regard in Estonia.

friend to take the length of a limousine in order to realize how far Bob flied! But for the moment Carl was really thin, so thin that the doctor suggested to make him do sports. His education, beyond studies, embraced a lot of fields. He learnt to play musical instruments, to dance, to sing and applied himself to a large variety of sports: football, soccer (he played with his brother Cleveland as a forward!), diving and, obviously, athletics. As he himself tells, he wasn't good at sport. A lot of boys did better at the same age and he was regularly beaten by his sister Carol in the track his parents constructed for them around the garden of their house! Amazingly his father was a friend of Jesse Owens and so Carl grew up under the legend of this man who won four gold medals in the Olympic games of Berlin 1936. Carl begun with long jump and after a competition, at the age of 10, he was awarded by Owens himself. But a

He refused the military career planned for him by his family, as well as renouncing a promising political career. De Coubertin was inspired by his visits to British and American colleges and universities, and set out to improve education. He thought part of this improvement should be sports education, which he considered an important part of the personal development of young people. He conceived of an international competition to promote athletics. A growing international interest in the ancient Olympics, fed by recent archaeological finds at Olympia, De Coubertin devised a plan to revive the Olympic Games at the age of 31. To publicize these plans, he organised an international congress on June 23, 1894 at the Sorbonne in Paris. There he proposed to reinstate the ancient Olympic Games. The congress led to the establishing of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), of which De Coubertin became the general secretary
