Introduction of SCM

INTRODUCTION OF SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT (SCM) A supply chain is a network of facilities and distribution options that performs the functions of procurement of materials, transformation of these materials into intermediate and finished products, and the distribution of these finished products to customers. Supply chains exist in both service and manufacturing organizations, although the complexity of the chain may vary greatly from industry to industry and firm to firm. Supply chain management is typically viewed to lie between fully vertically integrated firms, where the entire material flow is owned by a single firm and those where each channel member operates independently. Therefore coordination between the various players in the chain is key in its effective management

This paper is about DeBeers, the most powerful diamond company in the world. Monopoly main characteristics were that firm is single seller of the product without any close substitutes. Nowadays DeBeers have many substitutes and that is the reason why they are not a pure monopoly, but they are definitely nearly one. This is because the firm still has the bulk of world sales and controls 45% of world diamonds market. This paper examines these monopoly characterises, also how and why DeBeers diamonds monopoly still exists and what benefits they give the world. Also how the firm handled the problems which resulted from new government regulations to make the diamond industry more competitive. Race. Truth shall set you free, it has set me free. RAPE OF A RACE Let’s take slavery for instance. We attribute everything that has happened to the Black race to slavery. We delude ourselves about African Kingdoms which had thrived before the onslaught of first the Arabs, and later the Caucasians. We talk about the Pyramids of Egypt, the great empire of Mali and the learning capital of Timbuktu. Yes, I am constrained to agree that these were great legacies that our ancestors left us, but one cannot deny the fact that in the middle Passage of the 19th century we stopped functioning as a people with intelligence and the instinct to defend ourselves. In the 17th century, more than 36 million African men and women were taken into slavery and to the shores of America. Of that 36 million, more than 18 million died in the Trans-Atlantic crossings. Listen, don’t get me wrong

Most experts believe the first Indian ancestors arrived 30,000 or more years ago. Clovis, 13 500 years ago. They probably came from Asia. It is supposed that the early Indians crossed into Alaska at what is now the narrow channel of open sea called the Bering Strait. This strait is believed to have been dry land in the distant past. From Alaska, maybe during or before the last great Ice Age, they gradually spread down into the American continent. These people from whom the Indians descended kept on entering America by way of the region of Alaska for many thousands of years. They moved and mingled throughout long periods of time. Eventually they were living across both North and South America. It seems likely that some of the first people to live in America may have been speakers of Siouan languages. Some of the first Indians in America settled in the southeast. Last of all to arrive, apparently, were the Eskimo

I have tried in this book to write a serious history of cryptology. It is primarily a report to the public on the important role that cryptology has played, but it may also orient cryptology with regard to its past and alert historians to the sub rosa influence of cryptanalysis. The book seeks to cover the entire history of cryptology. My goal has been twofold: to narrate the development of the various methods of making and breaking codes and ciphers, and to tell how these methods have affected men. When I began this book, I, like other well-informed amateurs, knew about all that had been published on the history of cryptology in books on the subject. How little we really knew! Neither we nor any professionals realized that many valuable articles lurked in scholarly journals, or had induced any cryptanalysts to tell their stories for publication, or had tapped the vast treasuries of documentary material,

Canada is the second largest country in the world, bordered by three oceans, and across the country, Canadians experience many different landscapes from rolling plains and mountains to the cold tundra of the north. Despite Canada's great size, it is one of the world's most sparsely populated countries. This fact, coupled with the grandeur of the landscape, has been central to the sense of Canadian national identity. 2. All about High Tech

All about High Tech High tech is technology that is at the cutting edge--the most advanced technology currently available. There is no specific class of technology that is high tech--the definition shifts over time--so products hyped as high tech in the 1960s would now be considered, if not exactly low tech, then at least somewhat obsolete. This fuzzy definition has led to marketing departments describing nearly all new products as high tech. Economy Because the high-tech sector of the economy develops or uses the most advanced technology known, it is often seen as having the most potential for future growth. This perception has led to high investment in high-tech sectors of the economy. High-tech startup enterprises receive a large portion of venture capital. However, if, as has happened in the past, investment exceeds actual potential, then investors can lose all or most of their investment

European settlers brought with themselves many easily cureable diseases which were unknown for Native Americans and those simple diseases killed over million Natives. The Natives who lived there helped new settlers but the settlers thought that they are better and acted presumingly. I think that European settlers shouldn't have done that because they went to foreign country where people were living and it was definitely not nice to act so.
