If the movie has great special effects and acting, but the story is very weak, the movie may not be as successful as a movie with moderate effects, acting and story. A good movie consists of three most important elements: story, actors and special effects. The most important part of the movie is the story. Many good movies are based on successful books and thus already have a great story as well as many fans that liked the book and will be looking forward to the movie.
