What makes a good movie?
There are many movies made every year but not all get a positive feedback. Some of them get very famous but some of them don’t. So what kind of movies attract people to go to the cinema ?
It is not very simple to answer this question. Some of us like movies that are futuristic and mystical, but the others love movies that involve love, romance or even violent movies where they can see crime and investigation.
I think a good movie has to be true-to-life and stunning. I especially love movies that surprise me. A superb movie has to be educative – it has to let me know about something new.
The best movies have professional actors . Without great actors and actresses, the movies are not so stunning. They need to make the movies seem real and original .
People don’t think the same way. We have different opinions , so not everyone like the movies that I enjoy watching. Nevertheless a movie has to be fascinating and gripping to make me enjoy it.

Cinema is the most restricitve medium

Cinema is the most restricitve medium The topic of this essay is cinema as the most restrictive medium. I would like to discuss the restrictions of cinema as such – what these are, how do they affect the medium. For example time limit of the films, budget, how it affects writer and director, what kind of choices they have to make, and how the audience come into play. Personally, i don’t consider cinema as a restrictive medium. Cinema’s most restrictive feature is time. Filmmakers must fit very good shots edited into very good storyline into one and a half to three hour movie, usually. The reason being, we get uncomfortable sitting long period of time. If the movies would be longer, we would lose interest and start doing something else

Would less TV and movie violence lead to fewer violent crimes

There are lots of genres in movies and TV series but most watched of them is action where plenty of crime is shown. Because of the rise in crime and at the same time in action movies or series people have started worrying that these kind of movies affect people to commit more crimes. Firstly, action films/ TV series always include robberys, explosions, car chases, shooting and all the other more little crimes. Usually these movies/series have about the same plot, where there are good guys and bad guys fighting and chasing each other. Often in the end good guys somehow still capture the criminals and live happily forward. This actually shows that the good guys will always eventually capture the bad guys and criminals have no chance. Still, they may have an affect to an audience. Because of the action it consists it can increase humans aggression and finally lead to violence. Secondly, there are also lots of children who watch violent films and get inspired by it.

"What makes a good movie?"

What makes a good movie? To make a good movie, the director has to succeed in many different fields. If the movie has great special effects and acting, but the story is very weak, the movie may not be as successful as a movie with moderate effects, acting and story. A good movie consists of three most important elements: story, actors and special effects. The most important part of the movie is the story. Many good movies are based on successful books and thus already have a great story as well as many fans that liked the book and will be looking forward to the movie. Other movies that are not based on any existing stories have to have a better story to be successful because they most likely won't have any real fans before the movie is released. The story can't be too long or too short. It has to have some detail but not too much as that would make the movie boring and long

Sciuscià. i I am doing my presentation about Vittorio de Sica movie „Siuscia“in English the „Shoeshine.“ This movie was released in 1946 and is often referred to as the first masterpiece of de Sica. I chose this movie because I really enjoyed de Sicas „Ladri di biciclette“ and also, I often enjoy watching old movies. The action of this movie takes place on the streets of Rome after World War II and the characters usually speak Italian but sometimes, they bring in some English. This movie has also received an Oscar for the best foreign movie in 1947. „Sciuscia“ talks about two boys – Giuseppe Filippucci and Pasquale Maggi, who are in desperate need of getting a horse. Unfortunately, the do not have lots of money because they live off their income from shining shoes. One day the boys must go to the fortune teller to sell

The history of movies

The history of movies starts in early 1900s. American inventor Thomas Edison, began making short motion pictures at the turn of the century. In 1903, a movie called "The Great Train Robbery" was the first one to tell the whole story. Movies were silent at this time and orchestras played music in theathers, so movies would have sound. The Jazz Singer in 1927 was the first movie to have sound. A year later, 1928, a funny animation movie "Steamboat willie" was produced. 1920-s were also the rise of hollywood. The majority of film making took place in the hollywood area. Hollywood was the initial birth place of the studios. Studios there were separated into 3 different groups. The biggest one was the Big Five. It included studios like ee WB. 20th Century Fox and Paramount. Movies were fun. Everyone had something to talk about. People would go to see the movies in big groups and have fun
