Seven pounds
The film „Seven pounds“ is a drama about a man named Ben, who changes the lives of seven people. Will Smith plays the main character Tim Thomas , who’s under the identity of Ben Thomas. The film was released in 2008.
Tim Thomas causes a car crash. Seven people died. Because of that, Tim decides to save the lives of seven good people, who deserve being alive . He donates a lung lobe to his brother , a liver to a child services worker Holly, a kidney to a junior hockey coach, bone marrow to a young boy Nicholas. He also helpes a woman who lives with an abusive boyfriend. Tim gives Connie and her kids his beach house. He also finds a blind meat salesman who plays the piano and a self- employed greeting card printer who has a heart condition and a rare blood type. One day Tim fills the bathtub with ice water and commits suicide by pulling his box jellyfish into the water. The piano player receives his corneas and the self-employed woman who he falls in love with, receives his heart.
I think Will Smith is an excellent actor . He makes the movie so real and his acting really touches me. I also enjoy his performance in the movies „The pursuit of happiness“ and „I am legend“. The film „Seven pounds“ shows, that there are not only bad and cold , but also kind-hearted and caring people around us. Even though I don’t think it’s right that he committes a suicide, I think what he did was really moving . I love the film, because I got so many emotions while whatching it and I love whatching movies that affect me somehow. After I had seen the film, I felt like I want to do something nice for someone who really deserves it. I felt like I need to make someone happy .
I think everyone who enjoy touching, but at the same time sad movies, should watch „Seven pounds“. Will Smith is a great actor and he makes the movie realistic. I don’t recommend the movie to people, who enjoy funny and childish movies.

Film review “Scent of a Woman“ 1992 by Martin Brest

York, where he reveals to the student that he intends to visit his family, have a few terrific meals, sleep with a beautiful woman and, finally, commit suicide. Over the weekend, as they learn about life through their series of adventures, they start trusting eachother. Two absolute favourite scenes: The first is in the New York ballroom where the blind Lt. Colonel teaches a lady to dance the tango. It is so smooth and dramatic that even a couch potato is tempted to dance along. The second and most profound is the speech that Al Pacino makes in defense of Charlie at the prep school disciplinary hearing. It has to go down as one of the great orations of all times. I also love the ferrari scene, where Charlie allows the Colonel to drive. In my opinion the purpose of this film is to make people think more about others. It touched me, and even made me cry a bit. I really think it fulfilled it's purpose. The

Gladys Pearl (Monroe) Baker.[12] Her family is believed to have been Anglo-Spanish originally; and possibly related to the Sepulvedas. [13] For many years it was believed Gladys' second husband Martin Edward Mortenson (18971981) was Monroe's father. His name was listed on her birth certificate. [14] Foster homes Mentally unstable and unable to care for Monroe, Gladys placed her with foster parents Albert and Ida Bolender of Hawthorne, California, where she lived until she was seven.[15] In her autobiography My Story, Monroe states she believed Albert was a woman. One day, Gladys announced she bought a house. A few months after they had moved in, Gladys suffered a breakdown. In My Story, Monroe recalls her mother "screaming and laughing" as she was forcibly removed to the State Hospital in Norwalk. According to My Sister Marilyn, Gladys's brother, Marion, hung himself upon his release from an asylum, and Della's father did the same in a fit of depression.

Vronsky cannot see that his own art lacks talent and passion, and that his clever conversation about art is an empty shell. Bored and restless, Anna and Vronsky decide to return to Russia.
