I really like musical films. It was directed by Baz Luhrmann and stars Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor. The film is set in the beginning of 20 th century in Paris. The main character is a poor English poet Christian who meets a group of bohemians who tell him that he should write a musical play for them to be played at the Moulin Rouge. There Christian meets Satine, the club's star and Paris' most famous courtesan, whom he falls in love with. After some time Satine falls for him as well. Things get really complicated when the club's owner invests in a wealthy duke to help pay for the club's remodelling but the duke will only pay if he gets Satine. That ends up as a crazy love triangle and the ending is very tragic. The soundtrack is very good and all the songs are medleys from various songs written much later than the movie takes place, in example Madonna's "Like a Virgin" and Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit". Seventeenth Summer was the first novel published by author Maureen Daly in 1942. The book talks about a girl's first experience with dating and falling in love. (A seventeenth year old girl named Angie who falls for the popular boy Jack.) I think this book was really good. But it is a little bit slow book, it does not really have any action in it and it just more of a leisurely book to read. I liked the romance and the character development, I liked the simplistic nature of their love. It made me yearn for respect and honor, modesty and decency. I admire that slow courtship. The book itself I think was not fantastic, but overall, I felt good reading this book because it still had the romantic aspect

He makes the movie so real and his acting really touches me. I also enjoy his performance in the movies ,,The pursuit of happiness" and ,,I am legend". The film ,,Seven pounds" shows, that there are not only bad and cold, but also kindhearted and caring people around us. Even though I don't think it's right that he committes a suicide, I think what he did was really moving.
