Purring · A purr is a sound made by most species of felids, but most large felines like tigers do not. A tonal buzzing can characterize differently between cats. · Purring is often understood as signifying happiness; however, cats sometimes purr when they are ill, or during tense, traumatic, or painful moments. Body language · Cats communicate a variety of messages using body language. Examples include arching their backs as a signal of fear or aggression, and slowly blinking to signal relaxation. A cat that chooses to lie with its stomach and chest exposed conveys happiness, trust, and comfort. Flattened ears mean that the cat feels threatened, and may attack. Mouth open and no teeth exposed suggests a feeling of playfulness.

To be or not to be a vegeterian

To be or not to be a vegeterian, that is the question. there are many positive and negative sides of being a vegeterian but what are they? First of all, many people think that being vegeterian is helthy but is it? Eating always plants does not give us protein that is wery important to our health. Secondly, vegetables does not give us fat, what is very important to keep warm and without it our kidneys run around in our body, and it is painful. It is clear, that for life we need many more nutritions, what we can get from green food. On the other hand it is healthy to be a vegeretian. People, who does not eat meat are fit and this is healthy. Our heart can work well and vegeterians dont need to worry about stroke because their body dont consist cholesterol. Estonians-What we’re really like

Estonians: What we’re really like

In my opinion Estonians are quite serious, we work hard and we're well-educated. We love to travel and a lot of people have a job or go to school somewhere outside Estonia. Ernest Hemingway once said that at least one Estonian can be found in every part of the world. Many of us have emigrated to the US, Canada or Australia. Some of them came back after the restauration of the independence in 1991. Estonia is a quite young country with painful history but I think we've been strong and kept our heads up. We may have a little country but it doesn't mean that the people are small too. The Estonians are more self-confident than you can ever imagine. We have many talented people, especially athletes like Markko Märtin, Marko Asmer, Kaia Kanepi, Andrus Veerpalu and Mart Poom. We love sports and working out is a part of our lives, that's why you don't see almost any overweight people in the streets.

has it s very own distinct style that complements the plot of each one perfectly. The scenes are stunning, beautiful and dramatic. The film makes quite a sad impression, because the events of the film are tragic. "Babel" is a film that, of course, is about what makes all humans alike. It shows no matter what language we speak, how many boarders we have drawn on a map or how often we try to separate ourselves through culture we cannot destroy the one thing that draws us together: the painful reality of our powerful nature, pain will always make as one.

The body as art.

The body as art. There are so many ways that you can use your body, how you can make a art with that. They call dancing an art, because it describes how some of us are feeling- using body as an art. There is also a way to put actual art on your body, like tattoos. After I turned 13 I've always wanted a tattoo and few weeks ago I finally got it. Tattoo is something amazing, something totally different. You put something on your body something unnatural but what describes you 100 % , means something to you a lot. Of course before I even planned to get a tattoo I found out as much information as I could. While I was doing that I well even more in love with tattoos. Before I got my tattoo I went to see how is it actually done in real life and again it made me want it even more. Few weeks later I got it, at first I was kind of afraid of the pain but it wasn't as bad as I imaged. I am so happy with the result and totally planning to have an...

females, as is typical for the superfamily. Bees all have two pairs of wings, the hind pair being the smaller of the two; in a very few species, one sex or caste has relatively short wings that make flight difficult or impossible, but none is wingless. The best-known bee species is the European honey bee, which, as its name suggests, produces honey, as do a few other types of bee. Human management of this species is known as beekeeping or apiculture. Despite the honey bee's painful sting and the stereotype of insects as pests, bees are generally held in high regard. This is most likely due to their usefulness as pollinators and as producers of honey, their social nature, and their reputation for diligence. Bees are one of the few insects regularly used on advertisements, being used to illustrate honey and foods made with honey (such as Honey Nut Cheerios).

The disaster agency said that volcano had spewed millions of cubic meters of debris into the air. Breathing was painful, because ash hung so thickly in the air. 3. Scientists have discovered how lava dome volcanoes erupt and thanks to that they can predict how volcanic eruption will behave. They have discoverd that frictional melting helps predict how a vulcano will erupt. Frictional melting generates stick-slip process what causes rhythmic small earthquakes. Love- your worst enemy?

give up on everything? It is one thing to love a family member. Every person in your family is important and you have to love and care for them. A family has to stick together and always be there for each other. It is not difficult to love somebody related to you. It is quite natural. You can feel the connection between that person and yourself. On the other hand, loving someone outside your family is something very different. It can be very painful and yet that pain may be the best thing that had ever happened to you. Most of us start out as just friends and love comes later. Others fall in love at first sight. It takes a lot of courage to become more than friends. What happens if this doesn't work out? It is not that easy to stay friends after a bad break-up. There is one thing you must not be afraid of and that is heartache. Especially young people who are inexperienced and easy to become attached. It is said that you should not

Book review. A&Q (Slumdog Millionaire)

Most of the movies that were based on books like Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, and the more recent Marley and Me and multiple award- winning Slumdog Millionaire for example, fell short to its namesake. While they were no doubt entertaining films, fans of the book would have expected more and so would I. The book had a depth and a feeling, that was to me, lost in the movie. Page after page, I was riveted. His mis- adventures were more real, more painful, more lonely somehow - even though he was all of that in the movie too. His ambition was driven by more than love. And through all his life, his personality shone through. He was earnest, street-wise, innocent, likeable, and always, unassumingly profound. He learned from his experiences, but was prone to making the same mistakes. And I ended the book, feeling like I have lived a thousand lives. The movie just ended with a signature Bollywood song and dance.

His radio- address where he led his country to the war became a turning point. Winston Churchill has been saying earlier in the film that "when Germans will come, we would need a king we can all stand behind". After this radio-address George VI became such a king for his country. I enjoyed this film because I like historical movies where everything studied at school or read from the books becomes real. But this particular story offered more than that. It deeply touched my heart. It was so painful to look King's unsuccessful attempts to make speech in front of the public and how he suffered because of that. I think everyone of us have had those embarrassing moments in our life where would have been liked to sink through the floor. I think the same emotion was very well passed on in this film. I was impressed by the film and based on my personal emotions I dare to recommend this film also to those who normally do not go for historical films or dramas. I suggest it because it gives

Those made reading very complicated. Most of the time it wasn't reading, it was translating the words or googelling for the meanings of the fictional expressions. Adjectives are good, but when there are so many of them combined and in a foreign language..it made it painful. Also, the book was in older English, which made it even more difficult. performance of the economy. Non-discretionary policy is really the overall framework and design of the government spending and taxing authority. As an example, having a progressive tax system, once set up, works automatically in the economy. Recession A recession could happen if C, I, G, or X fell. The short term effect was falling RGDP and raising unemployment. The ratchet effect kept the price level from falling The short term rising unemployment is painful and the focus of Fiscal Policy is to try to counterbalance the fall in C, I, G, or X so that the unemployment does not result. The tools the government would use are 1) Increasing G, or 2) lowering taxes (on households) and thus increasing C, or 3) some combination of the two. Expansionary Fiscal Policy The goal of expansionary fiscal policy is to reduce unemployment. Therefore the tools would be an increase in government spending and/or a decrease in taxes.

Melanie announced that she was to be married to an army man. Jeanette didn't like the groom. I objected to her getting married to him. And she was serene, serene to the point of being bovine. I was so angry I tried to talk to her about it, but she had left her brain in Bangor. Jeanette also left her hometown and during the second year away from home she met Melanie by accident. If she had been serene to the point of bovine before, she was now almost vegetable. It was still painful for Jeanette to think about her past relationship with Melanie, but Melanie seemed to have forgotten everything. She said that not much had happened between us anyway, historically speaking. Ignoring their past Melanie started to discuss the roadworks, the weather and the soaring price of baby food. Still, in her terms, she was happy. They had stopped eating meat, and she was pregnant again, and so on.

Debra J. Pepler of the LaMarsh Centre for Research on Violence and Conflict Resolution at York University has reported that 23 percent of boys surveyed said they had engaged in bullying, compared to only eight percent of girls. Among victims, however, both genders were equally affected. With girls, bullying often takes more subtle forms, such as whispering campaigns, spreading rumours and shunning--acts designed to destroy friendships. This can be every bit as painful as physical aggression. Many parents are unaware that it is happening because they never discuss it with their kids and because bullying is often a kind of underground activity that many children won't report. Most bullying takes place in and around school and is often reinforced by an audience. In one study, 120 hours of video surveillance in Toronto schools showed that in over 20 percent of bullying, peers actively reinforced bullying by physically or verbally joining in the aggression

Her talent was noticed, but she didn't have a change to really become famous. She was in a great penury that made her life really though and she had a gentle soul. Thanks to all that in 1919 she was diagnosed with schizophrenia. She isn't really famous poet in Estonia, but I chose her because when you read her poems you can really feel the pain she has been through. Her poems influenced lots of people with their fresh style and deep and painful content. These made people think about depths of life. Next writer I am going to talk about is Elisabeth Aspe. She lived in 1860-1927. She was an early realist, back at that time most people wrote about different things. Critics have said that her works were very interesting in many different ways. Her first well-known novel was Stepsister, it's a story about an orphan girl's fate. She describes beginning of the urbanization process a lot. does not take a genius to understand what it is about - the sailors take the evil man to the buoy and he cuts the Bell free. In the tenth stanza, Sir Ralph the Rover lets the bell sink to the depths of the ocean- "Down sunk the Bell with a gurgling sound. / The bubbles rose and burst around;". He then enviously and with malice says that the next man who comes to the Rock, will not thank the Abbot (because his ship will crash the Rock and he will die in a very painful manner). In this stanza, Southey takes the gut-feeling of something bad happening to the next level, by describing the bubbles that appear after Ralph has thrown the bell into the water, such words as "gurgling" and "burst" also have a negative undertone and add to the feeling of the approaching danger. We are then told that Sir Ralph then went scouring for treasure, and became a very rich man. He then wants to return to Scotland, and sets his course towards the homeland shore

characterize buffoons created by a genius. In many cases the classic eccentricities of Wodehouse's upperclass give rise to plot complications. Relatives, especially aunts and uncles, are commonly depicted with an exaggerated power to help or impede marriage or financial prospects, or simply to make life miserable. Friends are often more a trouble than a comfort in Wodehouse stories: the main character is typically being placed in a most painful situation just to please a friend. Antagonists (particularly rivals in love) are frequently terrifying, and just as often get their come-uppance in a delicious fashion. Although his plots are on the surface formulaic, Wodehouse's genius lies in the tangled layers of comedic complications that the characters must endure to reach the invariable happy ending. Typically, a relative or friend makes some demand that

Infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis 2019

Using several antibiotics together in the treatment is not recommended for economic reason to avoid antimicrobial resistance. Moraxella bovis is usually considered to be influenced by different antibiotics. IBK Moraxella bovis is normally very susceptible and should be disturbed by every single-drug therapy (Angelos, 2018). Also, it is recommended to use eye- patches to avoid the irritation from sunlight, dust and flies. Direct sunlight is very annoying and painful to a pink-eye affected animal. Patches help to reduce the pain, so animals feel more comfortable, reducing the weight loss caused by pinkeye (Peek and Divers, 2018). When the ocular secretion is increased and other clinical signs are getting worse, then treatment failure should be considered. Therefore, if the specific antibiotic treatment does not show any sign of recovery then it is necessary to collect ocular samples for bacterial culture and antibiotic sensitivity testing

original. Early publishers corrected her eccentric punctuation, which included the frequent use of dashes, seemingly random capitalisation of nouns, ungrammatical sentences and broken metre. Metaphysical influence The influence of the 17th cent Metaphysical poets can be seen in the intensity of the emotions she expressed and her use of startling metaphors. Inner struggle and nature Her poetry often reveals a painful inner struggle that may have been caused by religious doubt. Although she could not accept the doctrines of orthodox religion, she seemed to long for the comforts of unquestioned faith. Hers is the poetry of funerals, volcanoes, storms and shipwrecks, but it is also the poetry of butterflies, birds and sunrays. Her ability to capture in words the smallest detail of nature was one of her greatest talents. Reputation Initially she was considered to be an eccentric minor poet. Today she is

Franz Kemmerich - One of Paul's classmates and comrades in the war. After suffering a light wound, Kemmerich contracts gangrene, and his leg has to be amputated. His death, in Chapter Two, marks the reader's first encounter with the meaninglessness of death and the cheapness of life in the war. Joseph Behm - The first of Paul's classmates to die in the war. Behm did not want to enlist, but he caved under the pressure of the schoolmaster, Kantorek. His ugly, painful death shatters his classmates' trust in the authorities who convinced them to take part in the war. Detering - One of Paul's close friends in the Second Company. Detering is a young man with a wife and a farm at home; he is constantly homesick for his farm and family. Gérard Duval - A French soldier whom Paul kills in No Man's Land. " "Establishing parameters in the beginning makes it less likely that there'll be exaggerated expectations and disappointment at the conclusion." "Are you kidding?" I scowled. "Listen to yourself. Why even call it a fuck? Why not be clear and call it a seminal emission in a preapproved orifice?" He pissed me off by throwing his head back and laughing. The full, throaty sound flowed over me like a rush of warm water. My awareness of him heightened to a physically painful degree. His earthy amusement made him less sex god and more human. Flesh and blood. Real. I pushed to my feet and backed out of reach. "Casual sex doesn't have to include wine and roses, but for God's sake, whatever else it is, sex should be personal. Friendly even. With mutual respect at the very least." His humor fled as he stood, his eyes darkening. "There are no mixed signals in my private affairs. You want me to blur that line. I can't think of a good reason to."

ESTONIAN SYMPHONIC MUSIC-THE FIRST CENTURY 1896-1996

ESTONIAN SYMPHONIC MUSIC. THE FIRST CENTURY 1896-1996.

Genuine art production must be the source for spiritual nourishment. Real advancement as I comprehend it stands in mounting higher, nearer to divinity, not vice versa. The orchestral creation may be considered a powerful means for spiritual growth. Modern Estonian symphonism exhibits diverse, uneven, splintered tendencies. Several young composers have shifted their attention to timbres and “pure” sound. The major, painful problem is the shortage of vigorous, impressive and profound core ideas. Considering that Estonian symphonism as a profession is just a century old we can hardly regard ourselves as highly developed. The opinions and evaluations from a modern perspective may seem an exaggeration, as Rudolf Tobias prophetically stated in 1913.2 Commentary and evaluation is a complicated challenge since no human language is able to adequately express everything that has been expressed in music

" "I do not at all know; but I heard nothing of his going away when I was at Netherfield. I hope your plans in favour of the ----shire will not be affected by his being in the neighbourhood." "Oh! no--it is not for me to be driven away by Mr. Darcy. If he wishes to avoid seeing me, he must go. We are not on friendly terms, and it always gives me pain to meet him, but I have no reason for avoiding him but what I might proclaim before all the world, a sense of very great ill-usage, and most painful regrets at his being what he is. His father, Miss Bennet, the late Mr. Darcy, was one of the best men that ever breathed, and the truest friend I ever had; and I can never be in company with this Mr. Darcy without being grieved to the soul by a thousand tender recollections. His behaviour to myself has been scandalous; but I verily believe I could forgive him anything and everything, rather than his disappointing the hopes and disgracing the memory of his father."

frequently contains a strong element of paranoia: us against the evil others. It is the cause of much human suffering. Th Spanish Inquisition, the persecution and burning of heretics and “witches,” the relations between nations leading up to the First and Second World wars, Communism throughout its history, the “Cold War,” McCarthyism in America in the 1950's, prolonged violent conflict in the Middle East are all painful episodes in human history dominated by extreme collective paranoia. The more unconscious individuals, groups, or nations are, the more likely it is that egoic pathology will assume the form of physical violence. Violence is a primitive but still very widespread way in which the ego attempts to assert itself, to prove itself right and another wrong. With very unconscious people, arguments can easily lead to physical violence. What is an argument

" Should Mercy Killing Be Punished? Mercy killing is the act of killing someone who is very ill or very old so that they do not suffer any more. Many different forms of euthanasia can be distinguished, including animal euthanasia and human euthanasia. Some forms of euthanasia are legal for instance in Belgium, The Netherlands and Switzerland. But should mercy killing be punished? Firstly, mercy killing could be a very good thing. There are people who suffer from a painful illness and want to rather die than to suffer agonies. But they might be too weak to kill themselves and so they need help dying. Thus, mercy killing is a very humane thing to do. On the other hand, if mercy killing was not punished, there would be a risk of misuse. Since people are greedy, getting ones hand on an inheritance could be a reason to kill somebody. With mercy killing it could be legal and easy. In conclusion, it is believed that mercy killing should not be punished, but it

Each of them made it clear: "Just tell me exactly what to do and I'll do it." I gave them all of the necessary tactical advice on one 3×5 card, knowing in advance what the outcome would be. The success rate was impressive ... 0%. People suck at following advice. Even the most e ective people in the world are terrible at it. There are two reasons: 1. Most people have an insufficient reason for action. The pain isn't painful enough. It's a nice- to-have, not a must-have. There has been no "Harajuku Moment." 2. There are no reminders. No consistent tracking = no awareness = no behavioral change. Consistent tracking, even if you have no knowledge of fat-loss or exercise, will often beat advice from world-class trainers. But what is this all-important "Harajuku Moment"? It's an epiphany that turns a nice-to-have into a must-have. There is no point in getting started until it happens

"What kind of car?" I was suspicious of the way he said "good car for you" as opposed to just "good car." "Well, it's a truck actually, a Chevy." "Where did you find it?" "Do you remember Billy Black down at La Push?" La Push is the tiny Indian reservation on the coast. "No." "He used to go fishing with us during the summer," Charlie prompted. That would explain why I didn't remember him. I do a good job of blocking painful, unnecessary things from my memory. "He's in a wheelchair now," Charlie continued when I didn't respond, "so he can't drive anymore, and he offered to sell me his truck cheap." "What year is it?" I could see from his change of expression that this was the question he was hoping I wouldn't ask. "Well, Billy's done a lot of work on the engine -- it's only a few years old, really." I hoped he didn't think so little of me as to believe I would give up that easily. "When did he buy it?"

Special Vulnerabilities Are there particular kinds of people whose need to be consistent with what they've previously said and done makes them especially susceptible to the commitment tactics covered in this chapter? There are. To learn about the traits that character- ize such individuals, it would be useful to examine a painful incident in the life of one of the most famous sports stars of our time. The surrounding events, as laid out in an Associated Press news story at the time (Grandson's drowning, 2005), appear puzzling. On March 1, 2005, golfing leg- end Jack Nicklaus' 17-month-old grandson drowned in a hot tub accident. One week later, a still-devastated Nicklaus brushed aside thoughts of future golf-related activities, including the upcoming Masters tournament, saying "I think that with

I believe that once we begin to make our economic decision based on our understanding of the doctrine of “Spider-Web Economy,” and the fundamentals of the “Day of Atonement,” we are on our way to control the Black race economically. As I said earlier, we need a leader to lead us to our Day or Days of Atonement. It could be quite painful. The punishment could be quite harsh, but in the end, the success of the Black race economically depends on it. 48 The Black race has transgressed against itself historically, sociologically, culturally, and more especially economically. On ever account, we are all guilty; and especially on the question of economics, if we were to be sentenced for the crime we have committed against the Black race, we would all be shot. Of
