Overweight
4 biggest  habits  that make
you fat

Firstly because physical activities you will loose  fatness  and get fit, the risk of being
overweight is reduced. Secondly, your immunity will be stronger, so the risk of sickening is
smaller.

Prevalence of Overweight
In Adults and Children
JAMA, October 9,2002; vol 288, no.14

                                                          Taking  big bites
The American  Journal  of Clinical Nutrition  found  that people who  took  large bites of food
consumed 52 percent more calories in one sitting  than  those who took small bites and
chewed longer. By cutting food into smaller pieces, you can  increase satiety and enjoy your
food more thoroughly. A  good  general rule? The smaller your bites, the thinner your
waistline.

Sleeping too little  or too much
According to Wake  Forest  researchers, dieters who  sleep  five  hours or less put on 2½  times
more  belly  fat,  while those who  sleep  more than  eight  hours pack on only  slightly  less than
that. Shoot for an average of six to  seven hours of sleep per night —the optimal amount for
weight   control .

                                                          Eating  too  late
Your body  can burn  fat while you sleep, but only if it isn't too  busy  processing a  full
stomach. A new  study  in the journal Obesity looked at the sleeping and eating habits of 52
people over seven days, and it found that those who ate after 8 p.m. took in the most  daily
calories

Extended essay: To what extent does a plant-based diet lower the risk of coronary artery disease?

However in 1913 a Russian pathologist, Nikolai N. Anitschkow, tested hypercholesterolemia on rabbits. He isolated cholesterol from an egg yolk then dissolved it in sunflower oil and fed it to rabbits. It took a couple of weeks for him to notice how their arteries developed raised yellow lesions that were rich in ‘’lipoids’’. It was very close to what human atherosclerosis looks like. 29 A controlled trial in 1981 studied 21 strict vegetarians for eight weeks. First they followed their regular diet for two weeks and then they were fed 250 grams of beef daily in addition to what they used to eat before. The participants didn’t experience any changes in HDL-cholesterol levels, but their total blood cholesterol had gone up by 19% at the end of the fourth week. 30 Another cohort study, on elderly people, suggested that high levels of LDL cholesterol

how to help them. So everyone should learn the basic things about first aid. Many poisonous things can be found in our bathrooms and under the kitchen sinks. If we have children at home it would be better to put dangerous things out of their reach. If still and accident has happened we must call for an ambulance. We must tell what has happened to the person, tell the person's age, home address. In case of poisoning we must save the bottle, tell the person's age and weight. 6. Medicine and elements of medical care Medicine is the science and art of healing. It is a since because it's based on knowledge gained through careful study and experimentation. It is an art because it depends on how skilfully doctors and other medical workers apply this knowledge when dealing with patients. The goals of medicine are to save lives and relieve suffering. Many thousands of men and women, who work in the medical profession, spend their lives taking care of the sick

A letter and an essay

I would be grateful if you could arrange for the parts to be sent to me. I attach a copy of the receipt for your information. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours faithfully, Introduction This report looks at the dietary habits of twenty students in their final year at Freedonian Secondary School. The report is based on the students' responses to the questionnaire administered by the school's doctor. Meals The survey have revealed that the students do not have enough meals. Only eight of those questioned eat before school, and half of them have their midday meal at school. Worryingly, as few as four students have both breakfast and school lunch. Still more disturbing is the fact that an alarming proportion--approximately onethird--of the students have neither. Eating brown bread Interestingly enough, bread, a good source of fiber, enjoys popularity among young people. 75 per cent of the students surveyed

physical disability. Maybe he is a slow learner or wears clothes that differ from the run of the mill. Victims are often smaller or weaker than average, or shy and insecure. Boys bully more than girls, and the tormenting is more often physical. Debra J. Pepler of the LaMarsh Centre for Research on Violence and Conflict Resolution at York University has reported that 23 percent of boys surveyed said they had engaged in bullying, compared to only eight percent of girls. Among victims, however, both genders were equally affected. With girls, bullying often takes more subtle forms, such as whispering campaigns, spreading rumours and shunning--acts designed to destroy friendships. This can be every bit as painful as physical aggression. Many parents are unaware that it is happening because they never discuss it with their kids and because bullying is often a kind of underground activity that many children won't report.
