An Invention

Dear classmates, I'm going to talk about a mobile phone invention Mobile phones have brought about a dramatic change to the communication industry. The development of mobile phones has made long-distance communication a matter of seconds. The mobile phone was invented in 1973 by Dr. Martin Cooper, a Motorola employee. On April 3, 1973, the first cell phone call was made. The caller was naturally, Dr. Cooper himself. Prior to the development of mobile phones, people used two-way radios to communicate while they were mobile. The idea behind two-way radios gave rise to the invention of mobile phones. During the 1940s, Motorola came up with the Walkie-Talkie followed by handheld two-way radios that operated on battery power. In 1947, Douglas Ring and W. Rae Young at Bell Labs introduced the idea of hexagonal cells for mobile phones. Ericsson came up with an automatic mobile phone system, which was released in Sweden in 1956. The drawback ...

The invention of telephone

The invention of telephone The telephone is one of the greatest inventions in history. Early telephones were nothing like the ones we have today. Telephone is the Greek word for "far sound." Before the invention of telephone, people used fax, postal letters and birds to communicate. Alexander Graham Bell was an eminent scientist, inventor, engineer and innovator who intented the first telephone. His mother and his wife were both deaf and that was the main reason which caused his interest to hearing devices. Bell invented the telephone by accident when he was trying to invent a device that could send more than one telegram at the same time. His research on hearing and speech further led him to experiment with hearing devices which eventually culminated with the telephone in 1876. The first telephone didn't have a bell, so the caller had to tap the phone with a hammer to let the receiver know a call ...

Many centuries ago there were not many ways to communicate with your friends. The most common way of corresponding with friends was sending a telegram or letter. Nowadays there are many new possibilities for communicating with others: internet, cellular phones etc. Over the last fifty years, businesses have increasingly dependent on the use of telecommunications. I think using mobile phones are the easiest and most comfortable way of corresponding with each other, because cellulars are so small and you can fit them anywhere you want and carry them with you. They are also affordable for anyone. Nowadays almost all people have and use cellular phones, because you can talk to your friends everywhere where there is network connection. The other easy way to communicate is using internet, which was developed in 1968. Hundreds of millions of people are using internet all over the world. Youth can communicate each other and they can also find some necessary information. There are also some elderly people who need the Internet. Usually they use it to do work, but older people also use it to communicate with other people like friends or colleague. Some elderly people may use the Internet even more than some youth. I guess that next wonder can be mobile phone. It is also very needed thing. People can call wherever they are. Mobile phone does not have any cables. WE NEED PAPER BOOKS We really need paper books. Now a days, most of teenagers think that studying by a computers or mobile phones is much more useful, but actually ist's not. A lot of people spend their time at home using a computer, when people start doing it in schools too, they are going to be blind soon, because it affects your eyes. People should really think about their future more. I understand if you are doing some schoolworks on the computer, but definitely not all of those. If you read lots of books, it developes you reading speed and it will be useful if you can read fast and if it sounds nice. Also if you are on the computer all the time, you can't write soon, too. And then the next generation in Estonia is going to be like Africa, that people can't read or write. So we should still use paper books, it's cheaper and much more useful.
