Wonders of the modern world
Wonders are different . I am sure that today's world wonders are not the same that they were years ago. World has gone on and so the same way is with wonders.
In my opinion, the most needed wonder is Internet . It has developed quite quickly. Most of young people can not live without it. Youth can communicate each other and they can also find some necessary information. There are also some elderly people who need the Internet. Usually they use it to do work , but older people also use it to communicate with other people like friends or colleague. Some elderly people may use the Internet even more than some youth.
I guess that next wonder can be mobile phone . It is also very needed

I still keep hearing this story: “I gave it to my boss, hoping he’d finally understand what I’m talking about. He actually read it, and then he bought it for our whole team/department/company!” (I love that story.) People keep telling me that they got their job thanks in part to reading it or that it influenced their choice of a career. 2

It rains very often in all seasons in Great Britain. Autumn and winter are the wettest. The sky is usually grey and cold winds blow. On the average, Britain has more than 200 rainy days a year. The English say that they have 3 variants of weather: when it rains in the morning, when it rains in the afternoon, and when it rains all day long. Sometimes it rains so heavily, that they say «It's raining cats and dogs». Britain is known all over the world for its fogs. Sometimes fogs are so thick that it's impossible to see anything within a few meters. The winter fogs of London are, indeed, awful; they surpass all imagination. In a dense fog all traffic is stopped, no vehicle can move from fear of dreadful accidents. So, we may say that the British climate has three main features: it is mild, humid and very changeable. Vocabulary: to surround -- insular climate -- to determine -- temperate belt -- prevailing winds -- the Gulf Stream --
