Good afternoon! My name is Egert and…
Today I’m here to talk about advantages and disadvantages of fast development of modern technology . I think we all have noticed that almost every day there are new technology achievements at the stores. Whether we like it or not, it improves in every second, in every minute . New Apple iPhones, iPads and other i-devices are everywhere . Even tractors have a built -in computer in them . So, is it a blessing or a curse ?
I’m sure that most of you think it’s a blessing. Do you? We like our comfortable lives, we like it when everything has been done for us already . We want to have the newest mobile phones and best cars to show off and be better than our friends . However , it can make people selfish and egoistic. They want more and more and more.
In the past 10 years modern technology has improved so fast that it is clearly visible when we compare technology in the years 2002 and 2012. When I was a little boy, I remember the time when I got my first mobile phone . It was Nokia 3310 (I can bet my life on it, that everyone in this class knows what Nokia 3310 looks like). It is thick and heavy as a rock, but I was so happy when I got it, because many years ago it was a really new model, a really new. When I got my second cell phone, I thought again that wow, it is so new and unique , I have a prettier phone than my friends do. Some months later , my friends got the same phone, only newer version of it. You can’t imagine , how disappointed I was when I realized that technology develops sooooo fast and we just can’t always keep up with the times .
When I think about the future and what developments are coming I just hardly can imagine what may come . Smartphones are in same level as cheaper laptops. Every month there is something really new and better applications and improvements for every new car or phone. Maybe in future we can fly with the cars, travel to space very cheap and use our house without being home. I think that we can cook food with remote control .
In my opinion, it is not so good when modern technology develops as fast as it does nowadays. When people buy new gadgetry so often, it causes a lot of trash , which pollutes the environment. If we are not careful, new factories cause air pollutioning which also contributes to global warming . However, technology is not bad only for the environment, it can also affect people’s health. People do less sport and they are just sitting in front of the computer and TV.
We want to have as simple , comfortable life as possible, and we think that we don’t even have to move our finger to get things done but actually maybe in future we doesn’t have to move a muscle to get things done. Modern technology has improved as far as we need, but, people, let’s not get lazy ! When we use the advantages of the fast development of modern technology reasonably, then it’s a really good and useful thing but always remember the disadvantages also and think about them.
Thank you for listening ! Have a nice day!

And it’s also still a book about designing anything that people need to interact with, whether it’s a microwave oven, a mobile app, or an ATM. The basic principles are the same even if the landscape has changed, because usability is about people and how they understand and use things, not abouttechnology. And while technology often changesquickly, people change veryslowly.3 3 There’sawonderfulNorwegianvideo(withsubtitles)aboutthisthatshowsamonkgettinghelpashestrugglestousethe newfangled“book.”(Searchfor“medievalhelpdesk”onYouTube.) SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

The development of the space rockets took place during World War II. It was the Germans who built the first really big rockets, as a way of bombing Britain without needing to use aircraft. First the V1 was built and then later the V2 - a more powerful rocket which was able to carry a large warhead of explosives to Britain. After the war, the Soviet Union and the United States took German rocket technology back to their countries. The main motive was to build rockets to launch nuclear missiles. The idea of using military rockets to launch a satellite was really an afterthought. In the 1950s the Soviet Union and the USA invested large amounts of money in their new space programmes. On 4 October 1957, an announcement by the Soviet Union took the world by surprise. `Sputnik', the first artificial satellite, which literally means "travelling companion" had been launched and

· And when you begin to miss me, dont forget it was you who let me go. · There is an end to things no matter how much we want to hold into them. · Women are stronger than men, because they can walk in a 12 cm stilettos without showing t
