Letter of Complaint

Dear Sir, I am writing to complain about the Beautiful China Figure I ordered from your company. I believe your advertisement was misleading in a number of ways. Firstly, it was said to be delivered within ten days but when I received the package, three weeks had already passed. Also, my friend's birthday had passed, it was supposed to be a gift for him. I had to buy a new gift for him and now I do not have anything to do with this figure. Secondly, the figure was cracked and it did not look like the one on the advertisement. The engraved message I chose was also wrong and misspelled. The plaque surface where the message was engraved was scratched and silver but it should have been golden, like it was written in the advertisement. Thirdly, it was mentioned that each figure comes on a wooden stand but mine was on a plastic stand and I noticed some trace of glue, this seemed quite careless.

Letter of complaint

Dear Sir, I am writing to you to complain about the china figure I ordered from you three weeks ago. I must regretly announce, that your advertisement was wrong in many ways. Firstly, the figure which I ordered was told to be delivered within ten days. But I received it after three weeks and due to that, I could not hand it to my friend in time. Furthermore, there was a crack on one side of the figure; so as a consequence, it also did not look the same anymore because of it. And the gold plaque, where you engraved my message was completely wrong. That is why I could not gift it to my friend after all. As you can imagine already, I am quite disappointed about your company. I also feel that I have certain rights to receive a refund in addition to an apology from your company manager. I

Letters

· Paragraph 1 reasons for writing · Paragraphs 2, 3 development · Final paragraph closing remarks · Name · Letters are divided into two categories, formal and informal. There are various types of formal and informal letters . · It is important to think about the person who you are writing to before you begin writing a letter. If the wrong style is used, the letter will look impolite, silly or odd. For example, if you used formal language to write to a close friend, the letter would look odd, or if you used informal language to write a letter to a company, the letter would look impolite. · There are certain characteristics which allow us to distinguish between formal and informal letters. These are: ~ The salutation (e.g. Dear Sir/Madam, Dear Bill) ~ The style or language (e.g. use of formal language for formal letters, or the use of slang and idioms for informal letters) ~ The closing remarks (e.g

Dear Sir or Madam: I am writing to complain about the China Figure I ordered from your mail order company as a gift for a friend. I believe your advertisment was misleading in a number of ways. Firstly the Beautiful China Figure you sent me was cracked. Secondly, you promised to engrave my chosen message on a gold plaque, but there was a wrong message on the plaque. Then the advertisment said that the figure will be selivered within ten days, but mine took three weeks to arrive, so I got it too late. I am extremely upset and I demand you to give me my money back as soon as possible. Yours faithfully, Karoliina Ojasaar.

"When is your next ball to be, Lizzy?" "To-morrow fortnight." "Aye, so it is," cried her mother, "and Mrs. Long does not come back till the day before; so it will be impossible for her to introduce him, for she will not know him herself." "Then, my dear, you may have the advantage of your friend, and introduce Mr. Bingley to her." "Impossible, Mr. Bennet, impossible, when I am not acquainted with him myself; how can you be so teasing?" "I honour your circumspection. A fortnight's acquaintance is certainly very little. One cannot know what a man really is by the end of a fortnight. But if we do not venture somebody else will; and after all, Mrs. Long and her daughters must stand their chance;

I am writing to apologise for the delivery time and for sending you the cracked figure. I think it had cracked by the time of delivery. Our company must also apologise for the misunderstanding about the message You had chosen to be engraved on the gold plaque. Writing advertisement

18th February, 2015 Dear Ms Lake, I am writing to you regarding the advertisement in “Yes! Student magazine”. I would like to apply for the position of Activities Organiser. I am an 18-year-old student from Tallinn, Estonia. This year I am finishing the high school and I am planning to go to Ireland for my university studies. I had previous experience in organising events for children while working in “Vesiroos”, a summer camp in Estonia in July and August 2014. My duties included arranging outdoor games for children aged 7-11. I am confident that I am suitable for the job because I am good at organising different leisure activities. Furthermore, I love working with children and I have plenty of ideas what to do in a summer camp. I would like to enquire about the work in the camp. Could you let me know how many people will take part in one group? Could you also inform me if I can eat for free or I have to pay for the food? I would like to know where exactly the summer camp

A letter and an essay

This report looks at the dietary habits of twenty students in their final year at Freedonian Secondary School. The report is based on the students' responses to the questionnaire administered by the school's doctor. Meals The survey have revealed that the students do not have enough meals. Only eight of those questioned eat before school, and half of them have their midday meal at school. Worryingly, as few as four students have both breakfast and school lunch. Still more disturbing is the fact that an alarming proportion--approximately onethird--of the students have neither. Eating brown bread Interestingly enough, bread, a good source of fiber, enjoys popularity among young people. 75 per cent of the students surveyed eat three or more slices of brown bread per day, with only a quarter of respondents restricting themselves to one or two slices. Eating fat As regards fat consumption, the majority of the students eat margarine

The letter of complain

January 17, 2014 Dear Sir/Madam I am writing to complain about the computer I bought at your store last week. When I tried to turn the computer on at home, it did not work. The screen was black and the computer made an odd noise. I performed in the manner as the user manual wrote. Since the computer was guaranteed for 2 years, I took it back to your store but the shop assistant did not help me. She was impolite and arrogant and she said that she could do nothing. I am most disappointed and require my money back or a new product. I hope that this problem will find a solution in a week. Yours faithfully Mari Mets (117) January 21, 2014 Dear Sir/Madam I am writing in response to your advertisement in the last week edition of "The Job-Hunter". THE CAPITALIST NIGER

RAPE OF A RACE Let’s take slavery for instance. We attribute everything that has happened to the Black race to slavery. We delude ourselves about African Kingdoms which had thrived before the onslaught of first the Arabs, and later the Caucasians. We talk about the Pyramids of Egypt, the great empire of Mali and the learning capital of Timbuktu. Yes, I am constrained to agree that these were great legacies that our ancestors left us, but one cannot deny the fact that in the middle Passage of the 19th century we stopped functioning as a people with intelligence and the instinct to defend ourselves. In the 17th century, more than 36 million African men and women were taken into slavery and to the shores of America. Of that 36 million, more than 18 million died in the Trans-Atlantic crossings. Listen, don’t get me wrong. We are talking of over 36 million African men and women who were rounded up by

Report To:headmaster From:Liis Subject: Suggested improvements Date:2nd May 2011 The purpose of this report is to comment on conditions in the college and to make recommendations for possible improvements. Although conditions are generally good, there are one or two problems. Firstly, in large classes, there is not much desk space. Secondly, the classrooms tend to be darl, especially in the winter months. Finally, during video lessons, some of us find it difficult to see screen properly. There are number of changes that could be made in order to improve the situation. To begin with, I would strongly suggest that the number of students per class kept to below ten. In this way... To sump up, while most of us are satisfied with the conditions, I feel that above improvements would make things even better. If these suggestions were carried out... Writing a formal letter in english about a newspaper ad

It is compulsory to end the letter with ,,I look forward...". It is NOT ,,I am looking forward to...". P6: Ending the letter For example: ,,I look forward to your answer.", ,,I look forward to your reply/response", ,,I look forward to hear from you". A letter ends with ,,Yours sincereley" or ,,Yours faithfully" or ,,Best regards" In case you have used a comma after ,,Dear Mr Doe,", you have to use a comma in the end as well. I advise to use ,,Best regards", because it does not depend on the fact wheter you know the person's name you are writing to or not. In case you do know the person's name and you do not want to use ,,Best regards", you have to use ,,Yours sincerely", and in case you do not know the name, ,,Yours faithfully". On the next line you have to write your full name. Use Mari Mets or Mart Mets on your examination. Layout of a letter: May 8, 2010 Dear -----,

that it sounded almost convincing now. "Tell Charlie I said hi." "I will." "I'll see you soon," she insisted. "You can come home whenever you want -- I'll come right back as soon as you need me." But I could see the sacrifice in her eyes behind the promise. "Don't worry about me," I urged. "It'll be great. I love you, Mom." She hugged me tightly for a minute, and then I got on the plane, and she was gone. It's a four-hour flight from Phoenix to Seattle, another hour in a small plane up to Port Angeles, and then an hour drive back down to Forks. Flying doesn't bother me; the hour in the car with Charlie, though, I was a little worried about. Charlie had really been fairly nice about the whole thing. He seemed genuinely pleased that I was coming to live with him for the first time with any degree of permanence. He'd already gotten me registered for high school and was going to help me get a car. But it was sure to be awkward with Charlie

would be working. As far as my job went, at least, I'd gotten my way. I wanted to make a living based on my own merits and that meant an entry-level position. Starting the next morning, I would be the assistant to Mark Garrity at Waters Field & Leaman, one of the preeminent advertising agencies in the US. My stepfather, mega-financier Richard Stanton, had been annoyed when I took the job, pointing out that if I'd been less prideful I could've worked for a friend of his instead and reaped the benefits of that connection. "You're as stubborn as your father," he'd said. "It'll take him forever to pay off your student loans on a cop's salary." That had been a major fight, with my dad unwilling to back down. "Hell if another man's gonna pay for my daughter's education," Victor Reyes had said when Stanton made the offer. I respected that. I suspected Stanton did, too, although he would never admit it. have remained rare and isolated phenomena, since conditions were most likely not yet favorable for a widespread flowering to occur. One day, however, a critical threshold was reached, and suddenly there would have been an explosion of color and scent all over the planet – if a perceiving consciousness had been there to witness it. Much later, those delicate and fragrant beings we call flowers would come to play an essential part in the evolution of consciousness of another species. Humans would increasingly be drawn to and fascinated by them. As the consciousness of human beings developed, flowers were most likely the first thing they came to value that had no utilitarian purpose for them, that is to say, was not linked in some way to survival. They provided inspiration to countless artists, poets, and mystics. Jesus tells us to contemplate the flowers and learn from then how to live. The Buddha is said to have given a “silent

was delayed because of the rain. Isabella and James pushed her into riding with John. On their way Catherine saw Miss Tilney leaning on her brother's arm, walking slowly down the street. "Stop, stop, Mr. Thrope" she impatiently cried; "it is Miss Tilney. Stop, stop, I will get out this moment and go to them." But Thrope did not listen to her and only lashed his horse into a brisker trot. Later, she apologized to Henry and Eleanor for being so impolite and another meeting was arranged. They went for a walk around Beechen Cliff and discussed novels. Catherine was very delighted to find that Eleanor and Henry liked to read books as much as she did. Early the next day Isabella told Catherine that she and James were engaged. "Good heaven! my dear Isabella, what do you mean? Can you can you really be in love with James?" The news came as a big surprise for Catherine because she did not notice anything going on between them.
